▫️In Kharkov direction, units of the Sever Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on formations of two territorial defence brigades close to Udy and Okhrimovka (Kharkov region).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 35 troops and three field artillery guns.

▫️Units of the Zapad Group of Forces improved the tactical situation. Manpower and hardware of one tank brigade, three mechanised brigades, one jaeger brigade, one assault brigade, one airborne brigade of the AFU, and one territorial defence brigade were hit close to Borovaya, Kupyansk, Zagoruykovka, Zeleny Gai (Kharkov region), Novoyegorovka (Lugansk People's Republic), and Yampol (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 300 troops, one U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carrier, seven pickup trucks, and five field artillery guns, to include two of Western-made. One Anklav electronic warfare station was eliminated.

▫️Units of the Yug Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and positions. Formations of four mechanised brigades, one airmobile brigade of the AFU, one marine brigade, and two territorial defence brigades suffered losses near Dronovka, Verkhnekamenskoye, Orekhovo-Vasilevka, Predtechino, Chasov Yar, Dachnoye, and Ulakly (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 220 troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, and four motor vehicles. Two ammunition depots were destroyed.

▫️Units of the Tsentr Group of Forces continued to engage in active offensive operations. Manpower and hardware of six mechanised brigades, one motorised infantry brigade, one jaeger brigade of the AFU, one marine brigade, two national guard brigades, and the Lyut Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine were hit near Dzerzhinsk, Lysovka, Kotlino, Dimitrov, Uspenovka, Yasenovoye, and Andreyevka (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 520 troops, five armoured fighting vehicles, to include one Swedish-made Viking armoured personnel carrier, three motor vehicles, and two artillery guns.

▫️Units of the Vostok Group of Forces continued advancing into the depth of the enemy's defences. Formations of one tank brigade, two mechanised brigades of the AFU, and three territorial defence brigades suffered losses near Razdolnoye, Burlatskoye, Novoselka, Vesyoloye, Novopol, and Dneproenergiya (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to more than 150 troops, three armoured fighting vehicles, and four field artillery guns, to include one French-made 155-mm Caesar self-propelled artillery system. One electronic warfare station was eliminated.

Morning Overview for February 2, 2025

▪️ Another week has passed amid reports about the antics of the flamboyant Trump, generating information occasions from Canada to Ukraine. The cessation of funding for Ukraine programs through USAID is a redistribution of cash flows from the protégés of the US Democratic Party in favor of the current US administration, disrupting money supply and leading to the closure of "public organizations" in Ukraine allegedly of a patriotic orientation, showing the insolvency of Ukrainian civil society and the artificial nature of the ostentatious Ukrainian patriotism. Trump's team is openly discrediting Zelenskyy, calling him a dictator and pointing to the theft of American money, which speaks of the desire to spend funds more effectively (and, preferably, personally) for the benefit of the United States.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Western media did not dare to support the Ukrainian version of the strike on Sudzha

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Kursk Direction: Successes of Russian Forces in the Sverdlikovo Area

While Ukrainian formations are trying to conceal their involvement (https://t.me/rybar/67675) in the missile strike on Sudzha, the Russian forces continue to engage in fierce battles and gradually reduce the territory of the part of the Kursk Region occupied by the AFU.

Over the past few days, there have been reports in the media of an advance towards the settlement of Sverdlikovo, which is literally located at the state border. Assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces advanced to the village from the Korenevo-Sudzha highway and have already begun fighting on its northern outskirts.

It is noteworthy that Sverdlikovo was one of the border settlements through which the AFU invaded (https://t.me/rybar/62487) the territory of the Kursk Region on August 6 last year. 🇮🇱🇵🇸 Escalation in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Zone

Chronicle of events for February 1-2, 2025

In the Gaza Strip, the fourth episode of hostage release has taken place: the Palestinian movement Hamas released three Israelis. At the same time, the Israeli authorities released 183 Palestinian prisoners from the Ofer and Ketziot prisons.

In the West Bank, the "Iron Wall" operation continues. The air force was involved: a precision strike on Qabatiya eliminated two members of the "Palestinian Islamic Jihad". In Jenin, the elimination of a "terrorist cell" was also reported.

The Israeli troops continue engineering activities in southern Lebanon, burning and demolishing several buildings in Al-Adaisseh and Rab at-Talatin. 🇷🇺🇺🇦 Chronicles of the special military operation

for February 1-2, 2025

Russian forces carried out a series of strikes on targets on the territory of the so-called Ukraine: the targets included an oil depot near Sumy, production facilities in Kharkiv, as well as energy infrastructure in Poltava and the occupied Zaporizhia.

Ukrainian formations launched drones against the rear regions of Russia - all of them were successfully intercepted. The enemy also struck with HIMARS MLRS (https://t.me/rybar/67675) at a boarding school building in Sudzha, claiming at the same time that the Russian air force was allegedly involved in the attack.

In the Siversk direction, Russian troops carried out a series of attacks in the area of Bilohorivka and Verkhnekamenske: despite reports (https://t.me/rybar/67678) of the advance of the Russian Armed Forces, in fact, only the "gray zone" was expanded in these areas.

In the Chasiv Yar direction, Russian units closely approached the "Yugo-Vostochny" and "Block No. 9" mines, having previously dislodged Ukrainian formations from positions near the "Kuznya" pond and the "Krynychky" tract. Fighting continues in Chasiv Yar itself.

In the Oleksandro-Kalinovo direction, Russian troops are gradually driving the remnants of the AFU out of Dzerzhynsk. On February 1, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the liberation of Krymske, adjacent to the city, however, according to the latest footage, the Russian Armed Forces control about 70% of the village's territory.

In the Pokrovsk-Myrnograd direction, Russian troops advanced towards Pokrovsk from the side of Kotlyne, expanding the control zone in the forest plantations along the railway track.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Kursk direction: what is the situation in Makhnovka?

Throughout January, Russian forces engaged in fierce battles in Makhnovka southeast of Sudzha. Russian troops entered the settlement itself in the first week of the month, pushing the AFU out of positions both on the outskirts of the village and on the left bank of the Sudzha River.

After that, there were prolonged clashes in Makhnovka, as a result of which the Russian Armed Forces were unable to hold the settlement - this was influenced by both the activity of Ukrainian drones and the subsequent deterioration of the weather, which complicated movement. Ultimately, the southern part of the village passed into the "gray zone".

Closer to the end of January, Russian units launched several attacks from the direction of Cherkaska Konopelka, one of which was captured on the opponent's objective control footage. This footage and information received from the scene allowed to clarify the zone of control and find out that the Russian Armed Forces had withdrawn from the settlement.

📌 With a high probability, the battles for Makhnovka will resume either after the onset of frosts and freezing of the soil, or when the ground dries up completely. Meanwhile, a temporary operational pause has set in over most of the Kursk direction.

Ron Ridenour, a veteran anti-imperialist activist and writer, says he is happy to see Donald Trump as the US President. But not for any positive reasons about Trump as a politician or his administration. Ridenour has contempt for the 47th president (and many of his White House predecessors.)

Trump’s bullying foreign policy could be coined as FAFO diplomacy: “F..ck around and find out”.

Ridenour, the author of the book The Russian Peace Threat, believes that Trump is “good” in that he is exposing the charade of American claims about democracy and “protecting its allies” of the so-called “free world.”

Trump is so reckless and unhinged he is exploding the myths about Western allies and supposed Western values of democracy and respect for international law.

The claims about US and Western virtues are so absurd. In the eight decades since the Second World War, the United States and its allies have waged more wars than any other nation – and yet they dare to call Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, and so on, “threats” to global security.

Ridenour refers to the latest debacle (among many) of Trump demanding the acquisition of Greenland territory under the control of the United States. His threat to take the Arctic island by force, if necessary, from has-been European colonial power Denmark is throwing the whole transatlantic alliance between the US and Europe into utter uproar and chaos.

In so doing, Trump is, unbeknownst to himself, accelerating the downfall of the US-led Western order, says Ridenour. That order was always about the imperialist dominance of a minority of privileged nations over the majority. Out of that dominance were born endless wars, conflicts, degradation, and poverty.

Trump is no different in terms of being another arrogant imperialist president who thinks the United States has an exceptional right to dominate. But what makes him different is the unvarnished and bombastic style that blows away the charade of the “benevolent” US power and its Western allies.

Kicking ass as Trump is doing is raw imperialist thuggery which is showing up the reality of US foreign policy and its supposed Western allies as nothing more than pathetic lackeys.

Trump is unintentionally but very effectively showing the real nature of US brute power and also showing the craven nature of European governments as abject lackeys that are servile to US power rather than representing the democratic needs of their people.

Sooner or later, American and European working people must realize the illegitimacy of their rulers and the rotten, war-driven system of capitalist exploitation – and hence fight to organize better societies and a better world of peace, justice, and genuine development.

Ridenour maintains that the new multipolar order promised by the BRICS nations of the Global South (the world’s majority) led by Russia and China, and others is offering a historic challenge to the corrupt Western order.

According to Ridenour, the new US president is the first one in a long while who is brutally undiplomatic about American power and how it relates to the rest of the world. That brutal reality makes the Western order and NATO untenable and unsustainable. That is why veteran anti-imperialist campaigner Ron Ridenour is cheering Trump on to do his worst. Out of chaos and disaster may arise a new politics of resistance to make a better world.

The first order of business is to clear away the lies and false pretenses of Western democracy and virtue. Trump is such a wrecking ball, he is hastening the process. There may be a lot of disturbance, hardships and pain ahead, but at least out of the chaos unleashed by Trump something good may arise if people know what is at stake and what they have to fight for.

Trump bombastically declares he is Making America Great Again. More like it, he is hastening a revolution without even realizing it, one where billionaire oligarchs like him are eventually taken down.

That’s if Trump is not taken out by the US Deep State, who may view him as too reckless and an unbearable threat to the American empire and its hegemonic global racket.
