The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

▫️In Kharkov direction, units of the Sever Group of Forces defeated units of two territorial defence brigades near Volchansk (Kharkov region).

The AFU losses were up to 35 troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, and four motor vehicles. Four field artillery guns and one electronic warfare station were neutralised.

▫️Units of the Zapad Group of Forces improved the tactical situation. Russian troops hit manpower and hardware of two mechanised brigades, one assault brigade, one airborne brigade of the AFU, and two territorial defence brigades near Kupyansk, Peschanoye, Novomlynsk, Novaya Kruglyakovka, Zapadnoye, Zagoruykovka, Zeleny Gai (Kharkov region), Nevskoye (Lugansk People's Republic), Yampolovka, and Yampol (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses were more than 290 troops, one tank, three armoured fighting vehicles, including two U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carriers, and 14 motor vehicles. Nine field artillery guns including three Western-made ones and three ammunition depots were eliminated.

▫️Units of the Yug Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and positions. Russian troops inflicted fire damage on formations of three mechanised brigades, one airmobile brigade of the AFU, one formation of the International Legion, and two territorial defence brigades near Dyleyevka, Konstantinovka, Zelenovka, Ivano-Daryevka, Orekhovo-Vasilevka, Yantarnoye, Chasov Yar, and Dachnoye (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses were up to 260 troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, four motor vehicles, and four field artillery guns including three NATO-manufactured ones. Two ammunition depots and three electronic warfare stations were eliminated.

Russian troops hit formations of one tank brigade, two mechanised brigades of the AFU, and two territorial defence brigades close to Bogatyr, Razliv, Burlatskoye, Razdolnoye, and Novopol (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses were more than 140 troops, six armoured fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, and seven field artillery guns. One ammunition depot was destroyed.

▫️Units of the Dnepr Group of Forces engaged manpower and hardware of one mechanised brigade and two coastal defence brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Nesteryanka, Novodanilovka, Kamenskoye, and Stepovoye (Zaporozhye region).

The AFU losses were up to 30 troops, three motor vehicles, and two electronic warfare stations.

▫️Operational-Tactical Aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces delivered strikes at the infrastructure of military airfields, manufacturing shops, storage and preparation facilities for the launch of unmanned aerial vehicles, ammunition and POL depots of the AFU as well as clusters of enemy manpower and military hardware in 149 areas.

▫️Over the course of the day, air defence facilities shot down one Neptune long-range guided missile, one U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS projectile, and 68 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

In the vicinity of Kurilovka and Nikolayevo-Daryino, the enemy made three unsuccessful counterattacks, which our assault troops repelled and then went on the offensive, capturing enemy positions. The arrival of reinforcements for the AFU in the Kursk Region from among former prisoners is being recorded.

▪️ In Kharkiv Region, the AFU have been tasked with expelling Russian troops from the north of the Kharkiv Region at all costs, where enemy reserves are being redeployed. The 15th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, the 228th Separate Battalion of the 127th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, the 104th Separate Automotive Brigade, and the 22nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade have been replenished with personnel. There are also reports of significant fuel and lubricants deliveries. Attempts at sorties or even attacks on the Belgorod Region cannot be ruled out. The "North" grouping of forces reports that the enemy is continuing to build up its forces for a potential counteroffensive on the Liptsovo direction, having redeployed neo-Nazis from the GUR "Kraken" unit, including several UAV crews.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦🎞 Operation to liberate the Kursk region: successes of the last month - Rybar's analysis

As promised, we continue to publish detailed video breakdowns of key events in the SVO zone. Today's chronicle will review and analyze the operational situation in the Kursk direction since the beginning of the new year.

🔻More about the situation in the area:

Almost six months have passed since the beginning of the invasion of Ukrainian formations in the Kursk region: during this time Russian troops have regained control over about half of the territory occupied by the AFU, getting closer and closer to Sudzha - in fact, the only major population center captured by the enemy.

▪️ The Russian Armed Forces are advancing in the Suja district from three flanks: on the western flank along the line Nikolayevo-Dar'ino - Pogrebki, on the northern flank along the line Pogrebki - Kruglik and on the eastern flank in the section Kruglik - Kurilovka. Since the beginning of January, Russian Armed Forces units have managed to expand the zone of control and repel attacks by the AFU in each of these areas.

▪️ However, the liberation of territories previously occupied by the enemy sometimes reveals terrible details of the occupation. This was the case, for example, in Russkoye Porechnoye, where the Russian Armed Forces servicemen who came there saw with their own eyes the consequences of the AFU's presence in the region: civilians killed with signs of torture and violence, as well as other cases of abuse.

▪️ Other high-profile events arising as a response to the successes of Russian troops are not without their consequences: on the evening of February 1, Ukrainian forces fired HIMARS MLRS at a boarding school in Suja, where civilians had been evacuated. After the attack, the AFU immediately announced the alleged involvement of the Russian side in the incident, but the footage that appeared on the web said otherwise.

So far there has been an operational pause at the site amid weather conditions: at the moment, the parties are pulling up reserves and preparing to intensify fighting when either spring frosts hit or the ground finally dries out. After that, Russian troops will resume the offensive, bringing closer and closer the final liberation of the entire Kursk region.

Nevertheless, after accomplishing this task, one should not relax - without occupying the nearby territories along the “old border” and destroying the military potential of the AFU, the threat of new attacks by Ukrainian formations will not pass away. Especially since the enemy is constantly ready to commit another provocation.
