For the sake of analytical exercise, let’s consider a plausible scenario: if 2 to 4 GBU-57A/B “bunker buster” bombs were dropped on a location potentially associated with Fordow’s centrifuge hall, it is highly unlikely they reached the actual underground facility. The centrifuge complex is not buried just 200 feet underground—it’s protected by a mountain ridge more than 300 meters (≈1,000 feet) thick. No known conventional munition, including the MOP, has been proven capable of reaching such depth through solid rock and reinforced concrete.
An alternative and more feasible objective would be targeting Fordow’s access tunnels and entrances. The two primary entrances are relatively shallow and could be disabled by precision strikes, especially if bombs impacted at optimal angles. A successful strike could collapse or block 20–30 meters of tunnel, disrupting access for days or weeks. However, it’s important to note that Fordow reportedly has at least 3 to 5 known entrances, some of which may be redundant or designed for post-attack access.
This kind of operation could be a calculated win-win for all parties involved:
The U.S. claims success—asserting that critical nuclear infrastructure was destroyed.
Israel and hawkish factions celebrate a bold move, framing it as a step toward nonproliferation.
Meanwhile, Iran absorbs the strike with minimal retaliation, quickly begins clearing rubble, and restores access with little long-term disruption to its program.
In essence, business continues as usual:
No full-scale war is triggered.
Trump (or any administration figure) takes credit, appeases allies, and avoids deeper military commitment.
Iran preserves core capabilities and buys more time.
After a few weeks of tit-for-tat strikes and political signaling, the dust settles—until next time.

Comments from an observer regarding the attacks corroborating the Iranian statement of limited damage:
If Fordow was gone, you’d see craters, electromagnetic rupture, emergency airlifts, seismographs lighting up, and IR flares beneath the mountain. Instead, we got a tweet from an account run out of Northern Israel, yelling “Fordow is gone”.
As of now, there is no SAR confirmation. No crater clustering. No multispectral flash analysis. No underground fire signature. No BDA loop. If Fordow still spins tomorrow, Washington just pulled off the most expensive influence op in bunker-busting history, only to watch Tehran climb the escalation ladder unscathed.
Not only the attack may have failed, but they just escalated with no strategic success.

US President Donald Trump has announced that American forces have carried out a large-scale airstrike targeting three Iranian nuclear facilities, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, in a statement on his Truth Social platform.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump wrote. “All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home.”
He went on to praise the military operation, adding: “Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this."
In the same message, the US leader appeared to urge Tehran not to retaliate and to engage in talks, claiming it was now “time for peace.”
Tehran has yet to respond to the latest development. The Iranian military has previously warned Washington and other third parties against joining the conflict, threatening to target any hostile assets and weapons shipments bound for Israel. A spokesperson for Yemen’s Houthis has also warned that if the US becomes involved, the group “will target its warships in the Red Sea.”

The New York Times reports that more than 40,000 U.S. military personnel and civilians work for the Pentagon in the Middle East.

New York Times: A U.S. official said six B-2 bombers dropped 12 30,000-pound penetration bombs on the Fordow nuclear facility, located deep underground.
U.S. Navy submarines also fired 30 TLAM cruise missiles at sites in Natanz and Isfahan.
One of the B-2s also dropped two similar bombs on the Natanz facility, according to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of military operations.

I figured it out about two weeks into his first term- Trump is weak, stupid and easily manipulated.

Unless it is theatre> They bombed the entry and exit tunnels. DUH. The Iranians have been preparing for decades for a US attack. Logic would say they have hidden entry and exit tunnels. DUH. And it is pretty clear they prepared their tunnels for US weapons so why not exit and entry points?
