🔹 What could be the Reason for this?
After the downing of the Reaper, US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said US aviation would continue to fly over the Black Sea waters despite the incident. According to the Pentagon, the US Air Force drones are in no way provoking #Russia by conducting reconnaissance right under its nose.
He did not elaborate that almost every such mass gathering of enemy reconnaissance aircraft, especially the presence of E-3Fs of the French Air Force, is followed by a raid by Ukrainian kamikaze drones on Russian targets in the south (https://t.me/rybar/44104), including the #Crimea, the #Krasnodar and the #Rostov regions.

▪️ Over the past week, soldiers of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division have been conducting a positional offensive at the #Kremennaya - #Makeyevka line. In the course of active fighting, the RF Armed Forces established a foothold west of #Chervonopopovka in the territory of the DPR.
▪️ To the south, the RF Armed Forces dislodged the forces of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces' 25th Separate Airborne Brigade and 19th Rifle Battalion from several strongholds on the Balka Zhuravka - #Torskoye - #Dibrova line, extending the zone of control around the ledge near the #Zherebets River.
▪️ A sabotage and reconnaissance group (SRG) of the AFU with copters on board is operating near the village of #Zitlovka. It provides target designation for artillery and mortar crews.

▪️Ukrainian formations have once again launched missile strike against Belgorod. Several missiles were intercepted by air defence means.

▪️In Svatove sector, the situation remains relatively calm. AFU takes advantage of the operational pause and strengthen its forward positions.
At the same time, the defence line along Oskil River is being strengthened. Reserves arrive in Sen'kove, including mercenaries from the International Legion
▪️In Bakhmut sector, Wagner PMC fighters continue to expand their zone of control in the area of the liberated Zaliznyans'ke.
Retreating Ukrainian forces regroup in Min'kivka and engage in disturbing artillery fire.
▪️To the south, Russian forces continue their offensive to encircle Bakhmut grouping of AFU.
The most intense fighting is taking place in Orikhovo-Vasylivka and on the approaches to Bohdanivka.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces passed off their own destroyed S-300 air defense system as a Russian air defense system, which was first used by the Russian Armed Forces as a decoy and then abandoned and hit by a Russian Lancet drone. Here is how it happened.
Last December, we analyzed the situation with the dismantled command post 5N6ZS (5Н63С) and launcher from the structure of the S-300 air-defense system found in the Kherson region. According to their distinctive appearance and camouflage, it turned out that despite the Russian Armed Forces' tactical markings on the hull, these vehicles were former Ukrainian equipment of the 50th ZRP of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Crimea, left there to rot after the withdrawal of the Ukrainian army in 2014.
When combat operations began in 2023, these vehicles were taken out of the landfill and used as decoys in Kherson Oblast. After retreating from Kherson, they were simply abandoned, where they were found by the approaching units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the story of these vehicles did not end there, and soon they were attacked by Russian Lancet drones, either out of confusion or out of a desire to show results.
And now, four months later, a Ukrainian gunner is already bragging on camera about "destroying" those very launchers and the S-300PS command post with an American M982 Excalibur high-precision 155mm shell. Note that the equipment has not changed its location since November by a single meter.
If the Excalibur story is not fiction for the sake of reporting, it turns out that the former Ukrainian S-300PS air defense system from Crimea still successfully played the role of a decoy, forcing the expenditure of expensive high-precision ammunition on itself.
