RT military correspondent Vladislav Andritsa on the situation in Maryinka:
▪️Our sphere of influence in the southern part of Maryinka has become wider. Yesterday, our military destroyed a group of up to 10 people with a set of satellite communications. They went at dawn. Promotion depends on weather conditions. Now the roads have dried up, there are more opportunities for military equipment. Prior to this, the road had to be covered, but now there is no such need.
▪️Some lines of communication are being built. From Kurakhovo, the rear zone of the enemy, two roads lead. Our military has the ability to shoot at them and calculate the time of movement of vehicles . Pickup trucks leave at high speed, bringing some provisions. The enemy moves in small groups of up to five people.
▪️A lot of kamikaze drones are observed. They were brought in in huge numbers 2.5 weeks ago. There are also surveillance drones that can fly in rain and fog . This was not the case before. Their lifting capacity is much greater than that of the previous ones. Now they might have two or three folds. While our guys do not shoot down anything.
▪️There are not many large buildings left in Marinka. Multi-storey "candles" are very difficult to disassemble. This takes a very long time.

🇩🇪 These pictures show a man whose legs were torn off because of an AT-2 anti-tank mine, made by Germany, fired by the Armed Forces in the north-west of Donetsk. Later, this man died in the hospital.
According to the DPR JCCC, the Ukrainian military scattered these mines using multiple rocket launchers.
The West continues the war against the Russian people. They are involved in the genocide of civilians in Donbass.
No one in the Western press will write about this, just as they did not write about the mining of Donetsk with "petals." For them, the death of a Russian person means nothing.
For the people in Donbass, the morning starts like this; can someone explain to them how the supply of weapons brings peace?

🇺🇸🇺🇦 About the removal from storage of old equipment and weapons of the US Army and National Guard
Rybar sources in Des Moines, Iowa, report that military equipment belonging to the forces of the American National Guard is being actively repainted from sand to green and is being prepared for shipment to Ukraine.
A similar process is taking place at the US Army Reserve storage base next to the Fort de Moines military history museum: combat vehicles are being repaired, put into working order and taken away in an unknown direction.
Absolutely everything that can be adjusted and repaired is taken from the balance of various units, including old communications equipment, uniforms and ammunition. At the same time, this situation affected not only the storage databases.
❗️A couple of days ago, two exhibition M119 towed howitzers installed at the entrance to the military historical cultural site were removed from the US Army Museum in Des Moines. For transportation, the same tactical Oshkosh were used that were used to transport equipment from the units of the army and the National Guard.
🔻 What does it mean?
The conflict in Ukraine has used up the stockpiles of military equipment in many countries, and it will not be possible to replenish them in the near future. Now, to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary means before conducting a counteroffensive, any means are used - even obsolete pieces of equipment that have been gathering dust in warehouses and hangars for many years.
A similar situation is now developing in the Russian army: just a few days ago, footage appeared on the Internet with the movement of an echelon by rail with T-55 tanks removed from storage. Their use caused a stir on the network, but their appearance at the front is quite logical.
Stocks of old Soviet tanks exceed hundreds of units, and given the urgent need to saturate the front with firepower, which can easily be the T-55, this is one of the most reasonable measures to prepare for the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the spring and summer.
🔻What about museum exhibits?
Light towed M119 howitzers began to appear in Ukraine last year. Their transfer to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was due to the need to conduct intensive counter-battery combat in the face of a shortage of high-precision large-caliber projectiles for the M109, M777 guns and HIMARS MLRS.
M119 in the US Army and the National Guard are used in the most modern modification of the A3 in highly mobile units, such as the 10 mountain, 82 and 101 airborne brigades. They are used in combined combat, combining field artillery with high-precision long-range artillery.
Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are forming more than a dozen assault brigades, focusing on the high mobility of armored groups by using wheeled armored vehicles, including French AMX-10s, American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and German Marders. The presence of a sufficient number of light and maneuverable howitzers with tractors based on the HMMWV will provide fire support for the advancing formations.
❗️At the same time, the seizure of two museum copies indicates either a serious shortage of field artillery on the balance sheet of the American army, or an elementary unwillingness to transfer the most modern samples of the 105-mm M119A3 in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

🇷🇺🇺🇸🇺🇦 About the participation of American pilots in the conflict in Ukraine
Part 1 - Possible Scenarios
Last week, information about the readiness of retired American pilots to fight against Russia in the skies of Ukraine began to circulate in the Ukrainian segment of the Internet. Reference was made to retired US Air Force lieutenant colonel Dan Hampton.
Dan Hampton (callsign Two Dogs) served in the US Air Force from 1986 to 2006 as an F-16 fighter pilot. For 20 years, he made 151 sorties and scored 726 hours of flight, taking part in the operations of the US Armed Forces in the Persian Gulf, Iraq and Yugoslavia.
🔻How realistic is the scenario of attracting retired pilots?
Since the beginning of the SMO in Ukraine, the actions of the United States and allies have been measured and consistent. Each delivery of any new weapons or decision to use mercenaries under the guise of volunteers was accompanied by an information campaign aimed at testing the Russian reaction and preparing a springboard for the implementation of the plan.
Now the situation is similar to that before the transfer of long-range M777 howitzers, high-precision MLRS HIMARS and M270 MLRS, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and Abrams and Leopard tanks. Before the actual shipment, there was a lively discussion, fueling the interest of the Ukrainian audience and the formation of an artificial request to the NATO countries regarding the provision of this or that assistance.
It is unlikely that Dan Hampton would have declared his readiness to participate in the conflict on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, along with other pilots, without the sanction of the White House. And it is certainly unlikely that the state-controlled media would launch a targeted campaign to build up such a story. Hampton, rather, sets an example for the rest.
The words about the prospect of attracting private companies are also not accidental: after his resignation, he himself worked in a PMC. The option of using full-time pilots under the guise of mercenaries is an ideal cover for the US authorities. Therefore, the participation of "former" American pilots in the battles against Russia is possible.
🔻What is the risk of this option?
The development of events in this vein is actually preparation for the future transfer of Western-made tactical aviation aircraft, including the F-16, Eurofighter Typhoon, Gripen and Mirage, to the needs of the Ukrainian Air Force, especially if hostilities drag on.
Until the Ukrainian crews are trained, "volunteer mercenaries" will easily be able to participate in the conflict in eastern Ukraine under the guise of Ukrainian citizens trained in the United States. Thus, Western countries will be able to introduce their aircraft most smoothly and level the problem of the lack of experienced pilots in combat.
🔻How big is the threat?
Indeed, there are experienced and capable pilots in the ranks of NATO countries, but their capabilities should not be overestimated (however, just as they should not be underestimated). The regular American army has not been involved in high-intensity conflicts since the wars in the Persian Gulf, Yugoslavia and Iraq.
In the 1990s, there was a semblance of a modern layered air defense system in the Iraqi and Yugoslav armies, in which aviation was actively involved. The experience of further conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and even more so the fight against ISIS, is hardly suitable here because of the strikingly different concept of using the air force.
It has been more than 20 years since American pilots like Hampton participated in a full-fledged war. Dan Hampton turns 60 next year. No matter how experienced he was, no matter how well he knew his fighter, his reaction and physical abilities decreased over the years, to put it mildly.
And the experience of real combat against a layered air defense system in the face of confrontation with enemy fighter aircraft will also have to be developed in the field.

🇷🇺🇺🇸🇺🇦 About the participation of American pilots in the conflict in Ukraine
Part 2 - What about tactics?
The pilots of the US Air Force and NATO are sharpened to be used as part of a single integrated combat control system. It is tied to direct interaction between the branches and branches of the armed forces.
The NATO air group operates in accordance with the concept of suppressing enemy air defenses - Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses or simply SEAD. Any major operation of the US and allies began with the fight against air defense systems through massive missile and bomb strikes.
NATO's strategy is to destroy the air force and air defense, which, in a further offensive, ensures freedom of movement of ground forces and unhindered air support on the battlefield. A striking example is the NATO Joint Defender operation in Libya.
❗️The combination of satellite, electronic, electronic intelligence, together with the strike component of aviation, navy, ground forces and their combined use are embedded in the SEAD concept. This is a principle built on elementary logic. And alas, for reasons incomprehensible to us, on the part of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, such an approach was implemented, at best, partially.
🔻Concepts then and now
In the West, they are accustomed to full support during the battle from all components of the armed forces. E-3 or E-7 AWACS aircraft, E-8C combat control always operate in the air, and reconnaissance aircraft such as RQ-4B or RC-135W are constantly on duty in the air.
Western partners, in the event of the delivery of fighters, will artificially maintain a moderate number of aircraft in order to prevent excessive escalation.
NATO's air defense suppression concept is based on creating numerical superiority in aviation and conducting massive missile and bomb strikes on enemy territory for a long time.
No matter how they asked in Kyiv, due to the risk of an irreversible escalation of the conflict, the provision of comparable volumes of fire support is hardly possible. Rather, the stake will be placed on the maximum pinning down of the Russian group of troops and the infliction of pinpoint strikes to disable critical facilities.
🔻Learning problems
It is likely that Western Americans will become pioneers who will set a precedent for training Ukrainian crews on Western aircraft.
But in order to master the entire pilot training program in full in a short time, it will take more time than, for example, when training tankers or gunners. This is clearly seen in the training of Soviet-style aircraft crews in Ukraine. Yes, there are enough experienced pilots, but there are plenty of those who make fatal mistakes due to inexperience.
The efforts of the West to quickly prepare the Armed Forces of Ukraine according to NATO standards are quite understandable, but to train pilots is a completely different task. Not to mention the debugging of interaction between the Air Force and other types and branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
🔻Perspectives
Lone pilots, of course, will pose a threat on the battlefield: they have serious differences from yesterday's Ukrainian cadets. If they rely on the implementation of the SEAD concept, then there will be a need for a significant increase in firepower and the forces and means involved from the NATO Allied Forces.
It is impossible to do this unnoticed, and this, we repeat, leads to a sharp escalation of the situation that the West does not need.
However, if the armed conflict drags on, the Western countries will have enough time to train Ukrainian air force pilots and to train their pilots in combat in the Ukrainian theater. Yes, and the goal of unceasing earnings on the conflict will be solved.
