βοΈπ·πΊπΊπ¦ Ugledarskiy area
situation as of 15.00 April 18, 2023
π»Yesterday, Ukrainian formations tried to storm Russian positions south of Vuhledar. One sabotage group of the 72nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted reconnaissance in battle near the forest belt north of Nikolsky.
βͺοΈAnother assault detachment in light armored vehicles up to a platoon from the 3rd Battalion of the 68th Spern Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the positions of Russian servicemen near Pavlovka.
βͺοΈBefore these crews of M777 howitzers, artillery preparation was carried out, and reconnaissance UAVs and copters were actively operating in the air, delivered in large numbers to the Donetsk direction as part of separate UAV companies.
π»Both enemy attacks were repulsed by the joint efforts of infantry units and army aviation. Forces of 68 Spebr and 72 Smbr of the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated to their original positions.
Now the situation is stable. In the area of ββNovoukrainka, the 68th brigade is under staffing. And in Bogatyr, in the northwest of Ugledar, a large number of people and equipment are concentrated at the training ground.
At the moment, it is unclear what kind of unit arrived in Bogatyr. Most recently, the training of the 23rd brigade in Novomoskovsk was completed, and the brigade itself, according to the plan, should be involved either in the Zaporozhye or in the Donetsk directions.

π·πΊπΊπ¦ Zaporozhye direction
situation as of 13.00 April 18, 2023
π»In the Orekhovsky section, units of the Center for Information and Psychological Operations of the SOF of Ukraine are spreading false information about the alleged offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Lobkove and Rabotino.
To date, there have been no attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, among members of the Ukrainian formations, there is talk of an impending April 20 attack on Tokmok and Pologi at the same time as NATO exercises near the Russian borders.
βͺοΈSubdivisions of the 71st Jaeger Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which occupy positions on the second line of defense north of Hulyaipol, arrived at the direction. In addition, the presence of paratroopers of the 46th detachment of the Airborne Troops of Ukraine, deployed after being understaffed from the Soledar direction, was noted.
βͺοΈThe command of the grouping of troops "Zaporozhye" conducts regular checks of communications between the units of the 65th Smbre, 71st Rifle Brigade, 1st Detachment, 102nd, 108th, 110th brigades of the Troop Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as 46th detachment and 128th detachment of the Airborne Troops of Ukraine.
βͺοΈThe transfer of additional units and military equipment to the front line continues. In the area of Kamyshevakhi, Tavriysky, Orekhov, firing positions of M777 howitzers and M109 self-propelled artillery guns are equipped.
βͺοΈAt Zolotoy Balka and Maryanskoye near the Kakhovskoye reservoir, the training of assault squads on forcing water barriers is ending.
π»The high activity of Ukrainian information centers and the concentration of significant reserves in the Zaporozhye region indicates an imminent intensification of hostilities, probably in the period from April 20 to 25.
With a high degree of probability, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will make several local attempts to break through the defense of the RF Armed Forces in the Pologovsky and Orekhovsky sectors to assess the state of the defense of the Russian army before a full-scale assault in early May.

Pentagon leak analysis
Provided by: Sir Cheburashka
The Pentagon leak has been a hot topic in recent weeks. News outlets mostly publish claims of what is written there, but only a few have provided analyses on them, so I decided to provide you an analysis of my own.
Iβd like to first point out that just because they were βtop secret,β it does not mean the information is right, and Iβll get to this in just a bit.
We all read the most distributed document, which is the one containing the casualties from both sides. From this, we can see already that there are problems with these documents. The number of casualties reported is way too low for both sides, but especially from the Ukrainian side. Any high-quality document with detailed and secret information would most likely not contain such numbers. Even Ursula Von Der Leyen has provided an estimation of 100k dead Ukrainians some months ago, so there is evidence that supports that information from these documents is not reliable.
With just this first document, it is plausible to conclude that:
The document might be legit, but the information is misleading, and it could be an artificial leak to conduct a PsyOp.
The question is, how does someone conduct a successful PsyOp with such means? The answer is easy - give some truths here and some lies there. This way, analysts can get confused with the information, but regardless of that, the statements that are true would be enough evidence to let experts and analysts say that the documents are legit.
Regardless of that, Iβve identified some issues with these documents as well, which are insightful. In the attached picture, we can see how a document has written βand potential UKR information bias."β Here, a problem is noticed, but not with the documents, but rather with what is happening in the Pentagon:
A) Either the Pentagon is consuming the wrong information by relying on Ukrainian data, or someone is giving these figures to ensure a pleasant future after their service by telling the president what he wants to hear.
B) They are having internal disputes assessing information
C) There are problems in understanding the real situation in Ukraine in general
Some documents also have written βCurrent Intel: Not fully coordinated,β so this suggests one of these three scenarios I just provided.
Itβs important to note that the information in the documents is also not consistent. In some parts, they state how badly the Ukrainians are doing, but in other parts, they also state how badly the Russians are doing. Still, regardless of that, the document that everyone saw got unprecedented attention, so we must consider that we are shown what they want us to see. The rest of the information is unreliably being spread around the MSM, with just words of βthe pentagon leak suggests xyz.β Again, this provides support to the argument that this could be a PsyOp.
Now, on the other hand, if we keep in mind that there IS information of Russia doing well on this with a casualty ratio of 7 Ukrainians killed to one Russian, then this also suggests that the argument of inconsistent information is supported, since the casualty rate in the βmainβ document does not match this ratio since it's written that the assessed KIAs of Ukraine are not as high as from the Russian side. So, yes, it is pretty odd how the information is quite contradictory.
Letβs face it - they know that Ukraine is doing bad. The leak and the MSM publications portraying Russia as being largely successful might also be one goal from the government. As they got too politically invested, they are trying to find a way to get out of this, and whatβs a better way than to blame someone else? Giving that many βtop secretβ documents to a 21 year old is not a reliable way of managing secretive information, especially when the poor kid can not do much with them. Itβs either a set-up, or the government might be facing issues within itself. Could be both, to be honest.
