🇷🇺🇺🇦 How Russian troops disabled a Ukrainian air defense division in an hour
Back on Wednesday, we briefly mentioned the successful operation of the RF Armed Forces against Ukrainian air defense. And yesterday, videos appeared with precise hits of Lancet drones on Ukrainian anti-aircraft installations.
All targets were located near the village of Promin in the Nikolaev region: apparently, Russian UAV operators “caught” the division at the time of deployment to positions.
▪️The first launcher (PU) of the S-300 complex was completely destroyed by the explosion. The second launcher was damaged by fragments and the arrival of another drone, which hit the head of the container with the missile guidance system.

They tried to hit the third launcher on the move, but the ammunition only damaged the launch containers. The fourth launcher was less fortunate: after arrival, it completely burned down.

The operator also aimed the Lancet at the German Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, which was the first confirmed defeat of vehicles of this type. The ammunition hit the gun-guided radar and, guaranteed at least temporarily, disabled the equipment.

The result of the operation of the RF Armed Forces was two destroyed and two damaged S-300 launchers, as well as an affected Gepard ZSU. During the day, Russian troops actually disabled an entire anti-aircraft and missile battalion of the enemy.
At the same time, in the following days, evidence of attacks on other enemy air defense systems and radars appeared:
➖In the Zaporozhye direction, the Lancet hit the Ukrainian Tor air defense system.
➖Radar 36D6 was destroyed in the Donetsk direction.
➖Under Snigirevka, the RF Armed Forces hit another launcher of the S-300 complex.
➖According to our information, on April 26, the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed a vehicle of the S-300 complex near Voznesensk by a Kh-31P missile hit.
I would like to believe that this is part of the systematic work of the RF Armed Forces against Ukrainian air defense. After all, it is really capable of greatly reducing the potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eve of their announced offensive.

Recently, in a stream of materials with calls to support the Kiev regime, an article by the American publication Politico appeared, where for the first time a direct question was asked: what will happen if Ukraine fails the offensive?

The material notes that the Biden administration's public statements on the Ukrainian conflict are at odds with the real views in the president's team.
Some officials “privately expressed their fear” that if Ukraine were defeated, the American authorities would be in a very awkward position.
▪️Biden and his administration, who fully supported the Ukrainian government and imposed sanctions against Russia, will have to justify themselves to both the “war party” and the “peace party”.
The former will accuse the US authorities of not fulfilling all Zelensky's requests and not handing over longer-range missiles, fighter jets and more powerful air defense systems to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The second will say that the victory of Ukraine was unattainable from the very beginning.

The authors refer to the growing discontent among the European public due to the consequences of the imposed sanctions and the "staggering losses of the Ukrainian side." The latter were originally cited with the wording "100,000 killed", which was soon corrected to "100,000 killed and wounded."
In order to avoid possible problems, US officials have allegedly already "warned Zelensky about the dangers that excessive ambition can lead to" and graciously allowed him to "start peace negotiations only when he is ready."

The Politico material, like other similar articles written on the basis of secret documents, is designed to prepare public opinion in the West for the possible failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive and lay the groundwork for criticizing the decisions of the White House.
In the event of the defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Biden, as the outgoing president, will be blamed for Zelensky's miscalculations.
And the new administration, under the slogan of "correcting the mistakes of its predecessors," will begin to master the flow of financial and military aid with renewed vigor.
Because, despite all the public disagreements, the Western elite, as it was, and remains united on the issue of the need to continue the war until the “last Ukrainian” and destroy the habitable territories of Ukraine. And a failed offensive is unlikely to change that.

▪️ At night, Russian troops launched a series of attacks on targets in the rear areas of Ukraine, hitting targets in Dnepropetrovsk, Kremenchug and other settlements.

▪️On the southern outskirts, Russian assault units liberated an industrial technical school, expanding the control zone to Tchaikovsky Street.
🔻Donetsk direction:
▪️The enemy carried out a massive shelling of the capital of the DPR. In Kievsky and Voroshilovsky districts of Donetsk, nine people were killed, 19 were injured, more than 15 houses and civilian infrastructure were damaged.
Yakovlevka, Gorlovka, Yelenovka and Panteleymonovka were also hit: one person was wounded, 4 houses were damaged.
▪️In the Maryinsky and Avdeevsky sectors, the situation has not changed significantly: Russian units are fixed in recently occupied strongholds, the places of concentration of personnel of Ukrainian formations are hit by guided bombs.
🔻Zaporozhye direction:

In turn, the Ukrainian formations fired at residential buildings in Aleshki, Nova Kakhovka and Kakhovka.

▪️Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dubrovskis said that an agreement had been reached with five EU countries to lift the ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products in exchange for financial assistance in the amount of 100 million euros to farmers.

On one hand, I understand why humans do this. On another - the way I was brought up, the cemetary my family members and family friends are buried at, phones do not cross the perimeter.
I can understand a journalist taking such footage, or a perhaps a statesman visiting being filmed, but to see so manh people all but “touring” a resting place for the dead, phones in hand, is distasteful.
I do not wish to judge these folk if they are grieving and trying to show people what is happening - but a part of me still can’t help but wish to say “leave the phone in the car and respect where you’re standing”.
Ukrainian dead or not, it matters not to me.
