❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on June 2
▪️Russian troops carry on launching massive missile strikes on the military facilities in Kyiv.
Another attack targeted enemy air defenses covering key military facilities located in the Ukrainian capital.
▪️Ukrainian drones attacked oil and gas infrastructure in Smolensk region.
One of the administrative buildings sustained minor damage. No injured among civilians.
▪️Another Ukrainian UAV attack was prevented by Russian air defense in Kursk.
Eight strike drones were shot down over the city. Three residential buildings sustained minor damage.
▪️The situation is deteriorating in the Bryansk region, where the AFU have substantially increased the intensity of the artillery shelling.
Houses and household outbuildings were damaged by shells in several populated areas located near the border.
▪️Massive strikes continue on the border in the Belgorod region.
In Shebekino, which is under constant shelling, several residential buildings were destroyed. Two women were killed in the village of Maslova Pristan.
▪️Massive mortar and artillery shelling is also recorded in Novaya Tavolzhanka.
In the same direction, Russian troops destroyed an enemy strike group on the border with the region with precise strikes.
▪️In the Starobilsk direction, offensive operation intensified near Kuzemivka.
Russian assault units managed to gain a foothold behind the railway line. All of the ensuing counterattacks by the AFY were repelled.

The Quincy Institute for Responsible Government (USA) has revealed that the bulk of US experts commenting in the international media on the war in Ukraine have sponsors in the form of Pentagon defence contractors.
The vast majority of media mentions of so-called think-tanks) in articles about US arms supplies and the war in Ukraine belong to those whose financial backers profit from US military spending, arms sales and, in most cases, directly from US involvement in the war in Ukraine. Some numbers:
🔹 Of the 27 think tanks whose sponsors the researchers were able to find out, 21 receive funding from the defence-industrial sector (77%). Since disclosure of sponsors is voluntary in the US, it is not possible to determine the percentage of funding think tanks receive from defence contractors accurately.
🔹 In articles related to the US military intervention in Ukraine, the media quoted think tanks receiving financial support from the defence industry 85% of the time. That is seven times more often than experts from think tanks that do not accept funding from Pentagon contractors.
🔹 Despite the trend towards increased transparency of think tank sponsors, nearly a third of leading US foreign policy think tanks do not provide the public with information about their sponsors.
🔹 The media prefer not to notice the conflict of interest created when experts from US defence industry-funded think tanks are quoted, even when they express their opinions on policy decisions that would benefit the US defence industry.
Key finding: think tanks funded by the US defence industry are not particularly secretive about lobbying for increased US military spending for the war in Ukraine and tend to neglect opportunities for diplomatic solutions to the conflict. Proven.
