🇷🇺🇺🇦 Orekhovsky area
situation as of 11.00 June 17, 2023
For more than a day, intense fighting has been going on in Pyatikhatki, southeast of Kamenskoye. Company groups of the 128th Guards Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried several times to gain a foothold in the village, losing several dozen people.
In the early morning, Ukrainian paratroopers resumed the assault with artillery support. Putting up a smokescreen, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the side of Lobkove again stormed Pyatikhatki.
The Russian fighters were forced to retreat to reserve positions on the surrounding heights, but soon they launched a counterattack and, as of 11:00, were clearing Pyatikhatki.
Ukrainian formations do not take into account losses, throwing bodies at the front (in fact, Russian positions were taken not by quality, but by quantity). According to reports from the field, there is practically no Western equipment on the site, there are only a few pickup trucks and Soviet infantry fighting vehicles. Army aviation is working on enemy assault groups.
🔻South of Orekhov, the enemy resumed the attack at the Rabotino-Verbove line, where they had previously failed to advance to the assault groups of the 47th and 33rd Smbre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After artillery preparation, the Ukrainian armored groups advanced to the positions of the 291st and 70th regiments of the RF Armed Forces.
Russian fighters on the front line, artillerymen and aviation are working non-stop. The cannonade does not stop for a minute. South of Malaya Tokmachka, a column of armored vehicles was destroyed, including two tanks and three armored combat vehicles. The fights continue.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on June 16
▪️President of the Republic of South Africa Ramaphosa Cyril visited Kyiv to discuss mediation in negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
During the visit, the Ukrainian side claimed that the capital was shelled by Russian forces but representatives of the African representatives denied this information.
▪️Ukrainian UAVs attacked an infrastructure facility in the village of Suzemka in the Bryansk region.
Several drones fell on the territory of the settlement, some of them were shot down by air defense systems.
▪️The AFU also again used drones to attack civilian targets in the Kursk region.
The warehouses of the Bel-pol textile factory came under attack. A fire broke out on an area of two thousand square meters at the facility.
▪️The AFU continue to conduct round-the-clock shelling of populated areas of the Donetsk agglomeration.
The Kyivskyi district of the DPR capital came under attack. As a result of the attack, one woman was killed and seven others were injured.
▪️In the vicinity of Mar'inka, Ukrainian units tried to recapture their previously lost positions.
The offensive attempt was carried out from the area of the Zverinets stronghold of the AFU. Russian troops managed to repulse all enemy attacks.
▪️To the east of the Vremivka salient, Ukrainian units attacked Russian positions in the forest belt between Novodonetske and Urozhaine.
At the cost of heavy losses, the enemy managed to occupy several forward strongholds and penetrate the defense to a depth of 200 meters.
▪️At the Orekhiv area, Ukrainian units attempted an attack from Lobkove to Pyatykhatky.
The offensive is conducted by small infantry groups, under the cover of fire from tanks and other armored vehicles.

Military Summary Channel
Judging by the way the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been advancing in Zaporozhye and in the South-Donetsk direction for the past few days, the tactics of the ground forces of Ukraine have changed significantly.
• If in the first days of the Armed Forces of Ukraine actively created the illusion of a mass offensive with forces of more than a battalion, then at the moment only small platoon groups, up to 30-40 people maximum, are thrown into battle. This is especially noticeable in the battles in the triangle of Pyatikhatki - Stepovoye - Malye Shcherbaki. In this direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the biggest losses at the moment.
• A significant part of the heavy equipment, including Leopard tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, is assigned to the rear for regrouping, repair and, apparently, drawing up a new attack plan.
• Significant losses of senior commanders, capable of daring breakthroughs to the front line, affect morale: among the mobilized Ukrainians, there are more and more refuseniks and "crossbows", as was already the case in Artyomovsk.
• The history of field repair problems repeats itself: it is almost impossible to quickly fix the malfunctions of infantry fighting vehicles and tanks. There are practically no evacuation vehicles (BREM) - serviceable equipment arrives at the place of the damaged equipment, and the whole group is covered by artillery fire from the rear of the Surovikin Line.
• Apparently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were ordered to protect foreign armored vehicles, so mobile groups are increasingly introduced into battle on MaxxPro and Mastiff armored vehicles, unsuitable for frontal attacks. Due to the imbalance in the use of light equipment, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the past 72 hours have increased to 880-930 killed and wounded per day.
• Territorial advance is zero. As soon as the Armed Forces of Ukraine occupy certain positions, the entire square is covered with artillery, and at night the positions are worked out by Ka-52 and Mi-28NM helicopters. After that, the Armed Forces of Ukraine roll back to their original positions without the opportunity to gain a foothold.
One means used by Russian forces to destroy AFU armored vehicles before they reach defensive lines, is using mobile Kornet ATGM squads.

WE WILL BURN THEM ALL
With great interest, I have been observing methods and means by which our armed forces slowly but surely pick off the AFU's precious Leopard tanks.
Modern MBTs (main battle tanks) have awesome firepower, space age sensory capabilities, powerful communications and of course mobility. A large tank offensive is very difficult to stop if it is combined with:
1. Air superiority
2. Artillery overmatch
3. Cohesive use of combined arms
4. Well trained crews
5. Detailed planning and rehearsals
6. Unlimited ammunition.
Oh, wait. The AFU has only some of those, to a degree. OK so it basically has none of those...
But! Even without the above, MBT's are formidable and terrifying monsters on the battlefield, right? Well, yes they are, until they explode. And oh boy, how many ways we have to explode them!
Just a few of our tank-exploding means:
- Our infantry-operated Kornet missiles
- Vikhr missiles fired from our VKS helicopters
- Krasnopol' laser-guided rounds fired by our artillery
- Anti-tank mines laid by our engineers and sappers
- Armor-piercing rounds fired by our own tanks
In short, every combat service in the SVR and VKS has the necessary resources and doctrine to neutralize modern armoured threats. And make no mistake, every one of our guys on anti-tank duty is waiting for the chance to say he burned a leopard or two. Hence, the crew cabin of a Leopard 2 is currently the most dangerous place to be in Ukraine.
Once the Leopards are all burned (as they most surely will be), the British "Challengers" will come.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

Work of TOS-1A Flamethrower System "Solntsepyok" burning out enemy positions in Avdeyevka direction
Yuri Podolyaka:
The massacre near Orekhovo - even experienced officers did not see this.
What happened today near Orekhovo was a Slaughter!!!
One gets the impression that the NATO members put the Kiev regime on a very "hard stretch".
Time is limited (NATO summit July 11-12), goals have been set (victory in the Battle of Azov). The enemy (that is, we) is strong, but this should not become an obstacle to the implementation of the plans of Washington and London.
I received data on enemy losses near Orekhovo (without the right to publish). I think tomorrow or the day after tomorrow there will be new videos of damaged equipment that are terrible for the population of Ukraine. There is a lot of it there - dozens of units.
But the worst thing is not even that. The worst thing is the loss of personnel. The enemy could not even pull out the wounded from there.
And experienced officers (ours) are shocked by what they saw today. They have never seen such a massacre (according to them), and such a disregard for the life of their soldiers (on the part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine). And they said all this ... with respect for the courage of the enemy (soldiers, not command), capable of carrying out such an insane order.
P.S. It is a pity that only today many hundreds of essentially Russian (even Ukrainian) guys paid with their lives for British and American interests.
PP.S. And yes, ours have already restored their positions near Orekhov !!!
