The United States traditionally reminded themselves who their enemy was. They cannot do without enemies; they will go crazy.

Americans consider China to be their country's main enemy (by 50%). Russia was named by 32%, North Korea, which was in first place in 2018, by only 7%, and Iran, which topped the list from 2006 to 2012, by 2%.

Meanwhile, a majority of Democrats (53%) see Russia as their worst enemy, and an overwhelming majority of Republicans (76%) see China as their worst enemy. Independents are more likely to name China (46%), followed by Russia (32%).
