The Donbass Offensive—@Rybar SitRep: The situation in eastern Ukraine as of the end of June 8, 2022.
▪️Clashes continue in the north of the Kharkov region.
➖ In Rubezhnoye, Ternovoye and Tsupovka, positional battles are being waged.
➖ The Russian Armed Forces carried out a number of strikes on the facilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kharkov: A plant for the repair of equipment was destroyed. Concentrations of enemy personnel in Chuguev and Udy were also hit.
➖ In the territories controlled by Ukraine, an accelerated mobilization (forces conscription) of citizens is underway.
▪️The Russian Armed Forces are developing an active offensive in Donbass.
➖In Severodonetsk, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are retreating in disorganized groups towards Lisichansk. Units of the 79th Separate Assault Brigade and the 10th Separate Mountaineer Assault Brigade, located on the outskirts of the city, in the settlement of Sirotino, asked the Ukrainian command for permission to retreat due to the threat of encirclement.
➖ The Russian 20th Army, advancing from Izyum, continues to fight for the section of the M03 highway (connecting Izyum and Slavyansk) near Bogorodichnoye and Krasnopolye. The Russian 35th Army continues mopping up the Sherwood Forest area located roughly between and to the west of the two settlements.
➖ To the northwest of Popasnaya, fierce battles are being fought in the Yakovlevka-Belogorovka-Berestovoye-Nikolaevka section for control of the Artyomovsk (Bakhmut)-Soledar-Lysichansk highway. To the southwest, fighting continues for the Novoluganskoye settlement and the Ugledarskaya Thermal Power Plant.
➖The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing a reserve line of defense behind the Artyomovsk (Bakhmut)-Seversk route in anticipation of a possible breakthrough by the Russian army. Anti-tank units of the Ukrainian 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade, equipped with Western ATGM systems, have been deployed to Markovo and Bondarny.
➖ Assault units of "PMC Wagner" are developing an offensive in the direction of Artyomovsk (Bakhmut): Fighting is underway on the outskirts of Pokrovsky. The Russian army (assault) air forces conducted strikes at personnel concentrations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the buildings of a school and a pre-trial detention center in Artyomovsk.
➖ The LNR People’s Militia, advancing from the south, occupied the eastern part of the settlement of Katerinovka [other reliable reports indicate Katerinovka has been taken over by the Allied forces]. The operational encirclement of the enemy in the Zolotoye-Gorskoye stronghold continues. In Toshkovka, the Allied forces knocked out units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Toshkovskoye mine.
➖Clashes between units of the DNR People’s Militia and the defending Ukrainian troops continued on the outskirts of Novgorodskoye (Niu-York).
▪️In the Zaporozhye and Krivoy Rog theatres of the conflict, the parties are conducting active artillery preparation.
➖On the line of demarcation between the Kherson and Dnepropetrovsk regions, the Russian Armed Forces inflicted fire damage on enemy forces in Trudolyubovka, Velikaya Kostromka and Knyazevka. Ukrainian forces responded by shelling Vysokopolye and Arkhangelsk.
➖ A large convoy with fuel, lubricants, and ammunition left Dnepropetrovsk towards Krivoy Rog.
➖ In Zaporozhye, the Russian Armed Forces attacked Ukrainian positions in Orekhovo and Kamyshevakha.
