⚔️ Fighting results and the situation on the fronts by the morning of 20 September ⚔️
▫️The Ukrainian armed forces are preparing a new offensive in the Kupyan-Izyum direction. The concentration of forces and assets continues in the area of Dvurechnaya and a pontoon crossing is set up. Rocket strikes hit the crossing and places of accumulation of equipment, but the enemy has not abandoned its plans. In the event of success in the Limansk direction, one can expect two counter-strikes by the Ukrainian armed forces on Svatovo from Dvurechnaya and Kreminna.
Both Russian and Ukrainian DRGs are active in Kupyansk in both parts of the city. There is no traditional urban fighting as neither side has been able to fully equip the defensive lines.
In the southern sector, the Russian Armed Forces are fortifying near Rubtsov due to the threat of the AFU from Sviatogorsk.
▫️ The situation in the Limansk direction remains difficult. The Ukrainian armed forces have established another crossing point near Serebryanka and are moving units near Yampil. An enemy DRG reached the outskirts of Kremenna through the forest, was detected, and forced to retreat. The occupation of Yarovaya is confirmed: the threat of an assault on Liman from the west is created. Sviatogorsk is actively being saturated with AFU manpower, there is no information about the transfer of equipment.
▫️At the Bakhmut-Sole Darya direction, heavy fighting is taking place near Sporny and Bilohrovka: the latter is occupied by the enemy, and the LNR military units retreated to the western defensive line. The capture of Bilohorivka will allow the AFU to set up pontoon crossings across the Severskyi Donets and advance on Kremenna.
Fighting is continuing in Bakhmut and Soledar, and Vagner PMC units are advancing in the city.
In the southern direction, the "bandwagon" reports the occupation of Otradivka and fighting in Veselya Dolina and Zaitsevo. There are unconfirmed reports of an assault on Kurdyumovka: the capture of this settlement will open the road to Chasov Yar and allow Bakhmut to be surrounded from the south.
▫️ There are no significant changes in the Donetsk direction. According to official sources, more than 20 counterattacks by the AFU near Pervomayskoye, Opytne, Donetsk airport, and Krasnogorovka were repulsed in a fortnight.
▫️ The enemy is preparing for a counterattack in the Ugledar-Zaporizhia direction: according to intelligence reports, the Orekhov-Melitopol and Huliaipole-Berdyansk directions have been selected for the main strike. A series of diversionary attacks are expected near Vasilyevka, Velyka Novosyolka, and Ugledar. The start of the offensive can be expected in the next few days. Ukrainian UAVs are active in the areas of Vasylivka and Novoselivka.
▫️On the Nikolaevsko-Krivorozhsky direction active combat is taking place near Posad-Pokrovsky, the Andreevsky bridgehead, and Vysokopolye.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces again try to break through the Russian Armed Forces' defenses near Pravdino, but without success - attacks with up to a company of infantry supported by armored vehicles are repelled daily with heavy losses for the Ukrainian troops.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to equip defensive positions at the bridgehead near Andreevka. Pontoon crossings have been set up near Ternivka: ammunition and equipment have been transferred to units in Bilohirka and Malaya Seideminukha. Assault groups are being formed for a possible attack on the Bruskinskoye-Davydov Brod road
Large reserves are being transferred to the Vysokopolsky section of the AFU for an offensive against Arkhangelskoye and Lyubimovka.
The AFU command plans to land up to two BTGr on the Kinburn Spit simultaneously with the start of the offensive in Kharkiv Oblast to bypass the AFU defensive lines and reach Kherson from the southwest.

🇷🇺⚡️The State Duma of the Russian Federation introduces the concepts of “mobilization”, “martial law” and “wartime” into the Criminal Code.
Voluntary surrender, looting and unauthorized abandonment of a unit during the period of hostilities entails imprisonment for up to 15 years.
The State Duma on the eve introduced a package of amendments to the bill on amendments to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, adopted in the first reading in July.
▪️The amendments introduce a whole set of new articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: "Voluntary surrender" (Article 352.1) and "Looting" (Article 356.1). For surrender, one faces from three to 10 years in prison, if there are no signs of high treason. For looting - up to 15 years in prison.
▪️The list of aggravating circumstances includes the commission of a crime “during the period of mobilization or martial law, in wartime” (Article 63).
▪️Unauthorized abandonment of the unit during the period of mobilization and martial law (Article 337 of the Criminal Code) will be punished more severely:
• from two to 10 days - up to 5 years in prison, and not up to one year
• from 10 to one month - up to 7 years in prison, and not up to three years
• more than a month - from 5 to 10 years in a colony, and not up to five years.
▪️ Refusing. Non-fulfillment by subordinates of the order of the chief, given in the prescribed manner, during martial law, in wartime or in the conditions of an armed conflict or combat operations, as well as refusal to participate in military or hostilities, it is proposed to punish with imprisonment for a term of two to three years ( Part 2.1 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code).
▪️A group of articles is also introduced on non-execution of the state defense order and violation of the terms of the state contract (articles 201.2, 201.3, 285.5, 285.6 of the Criminal Code).
The second reading of the bill is scheduled today. The State Duma can adopt it simultaneously in the third, final one. By analogy with the package of laws on military censorship, it can be approved by the Federation Council, signed by the president and published before the end of the day.
The bill comes into force from the day of its official publication.

💥High-precision, long-range air-based missiles of the Russian Aerospace Forces have destroyed T-72 tanks and other armoured vehicles supplied by Eastern European countries and housed in the buildings of a car repair facility on the outskirts of Kiev.
💥High-precision air-based missiles in Kramatorsk, Druzhkovka and Chasov Yar (Donetsk People's Republic) have destroyed the factory shops where military equipment damaged during the hostilities was being repaired and restored for the Ukrainian armed forces.
▫️In addition, the command posts of the 81st and 95th Airborne Assault Brigades of the AFU, as well as 6 areas of Ukrainian manpower and military equipment concentration have been hit during the day.
▫️The attacks have resulted in the destruction of 2 Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile launchers near Cherkasskoe (Donetsk People's Republic) and Orekhov (Zaporozhye Region), 2 multiple-launch rocket launchers near Korotych (Kharkov Region), 3 missile and artillery weapon depots near Mayaki and Slavyansk (Donetsk People's Republic), and 1 US-made counter-battery radar (AN/TPQ-50) near Seversk (Donetsk People's Republic).
✈️💥Operational-tactical and army aviation have hit 3 command posts, 65 areas of manpower and military equipment concentration, and 3 ammunition depots.
▫️The attacks have resulted in the elimination of more than 350 nationalists, 10 tanks armoured and motor vehicles, 2 Grad multiple rocket launchers, 9 artillery pieces, 14 special vehicles, as well as tanks with fuel, near Konstantinovka railway station, destined for a group of AFU troops in Donbass and 2 ammunition depots near Bakhmut (Donetsk People's Republic) and Loskutovka (Lugansk People's Republic).
💥1 MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force has been shot down during an aerial battle near Slavyansk (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥Russian air defence means near Odessa have shot down 1 An-26 military transport aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force carrying weapons and military equipment.
Also during the day, 10 unmanned aerial vehicles have been shot down near Vidrodzhennya, Ryasnoe, Svyatogorsk (Donetsk People's Republic), Kirovsk, Prudovka, Borovenki, Varvarovka (Lugansk People's Republic), Volchiy Yar, Bolshie Prokhody (Kharkov Region), Zazornoe (Zaporizhzhya Region), including 1 Bayraktar TV2 near Berezovka (Kharkov Region).
▫️In addition, 2 Tochka-U tactical missiles have been intercepted over Novogeorgievka (Nikolaev Region), and 3 Ukrainian Uragan multiple rocket launchers have been shot down near Sukhaya Kamenka, Dolgenkoe and Kamenka (Kharkov Region).
💥Missile troops and artillery have hit 46 command posts, 123 artillery and mortar units at firing positions, as well as 498 areas of AFU manpower and military equipment concentration.
📊In total, 189 Ukrainian aircraft and 129 helicopters, 1,114 unmanned aerial vehicles, 330 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,416 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 470 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,778 field artillery and mortars, as well as 3,419 units of special military vehicles were destroyed during the operation.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ The defeat of AFU Militants in Kherson Direction⚡️
Footage of repulsing the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of #Pravdino in the #Kherson direction. The fighting in the area of the settlement continued for two days.
On the afternoon of September 16, the 4th and 5th companies of the 28th Brigade attacked the positions of the 56th Airborne Assault Regiment of the Russian Airborne Forces from the direction of the village of #Pribugskoye. They moved in two columns with the support of armored vehicles: one had 6 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 armored personnel carriers and one tank, the other - 6 tanks, 8 infantry fighting vehicles and 2 armored personnel carriers.
The artillery of the 8th Guards Artillery Regiment of the RF Armed Forces began to conduct barrage fire on the advancing enemy, slowing down one of the armored groups. The second column broke through to #Pravdino, but drove into the minefields. With the explosion of the lead tank, the crews of the remaining vehicles panicked, as a result of which another 4 armored personnel carriers were also blown up on the barriers.
After the formation of a traffic jam, the surviving fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to hide in houses at the northern entrance to #Pravdino. One of the armored personnel carriers with ammunition was hit by an ATGM and completely destroyed. The enemy began to retreat, but was hit by artillery and lost another tank.
The next morning, September 17, the Ukrainian command came across to release the remaining forces in #Pravdino and sent a maneuver group on three HMMWV armored vehicles. The attempt also ended in failure: one vehicle was blown up by a mine, the second was destroyed by Russian BMD-4M fire, and the third retreated to the Pribugsky area.
The two-day offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ended in complete failure: the enemy lost 15 armored vehicles, another 2 tanks and 3 infantry fighting vehicles went to Russian soldiers as trophies. A group of Ukrainian soldiers blocked in #Pravdino surrendered.

▪️ Part of the Wagner PMC forces were moved to the #Spornoye region to regain control of the allied forces over the previously recaptured AFU settlement.
The aim is to prevent the breakthrough of Ukrainian forces to the #Lysychansk refinery and the development of further counter-offensives by Ukrainian formations towards #Lysychansk.
▪️ The long-suffering northern #Belogorovka in #LPR is under the control of the AFU. Ukrainian units were able to gain a foothold in the village located in the "grey zone" yesterday.
▪️ AFU units attempting to build on their success and advance from southern #Belogorovka into #Berestovka were dislodged from the village. The settlement is under full control of Allied Forces.
▪️ Positional fighting continues in #Soledar.
▪️ Reports of an offensive in the east of #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk) proved premature. The Wagner PMCs are currently controlling a crossroads in the east of the city near Patrice Lumumba Street, striking at AFU strongholds and suppressing identified firing points.
A head-on offensive is fraught with pointless casualties, so the assault on the city is not expected to begin until after the Wagner units have cleared the area south of #Bakhmut.

The AFU command continues preparations for further development of the offensive and probes the Russian defences on the left bank of the Seversky Donets.
▪️ Assault groups of the 81st Airborne Brigade conducted a reconnaissance battle near #Drobyshevo. AFU reconnaissance teams revealed the locations of forts and the number of people in this section of the front. It is likely that the soldiers of the 81st Brigade will make another attempt to capture the settlement during the night.
▪️ More Ukrainian units continue to be moved via a pontoon to #Svyatogorsk to reinforce the troop grouping and limit the actions of Russian forces towards #Aleksandrovka.
▪️ On the #Bogorodichnoye — #Tatyanovka — #Prishib line, servicemen of the 95th Brigade have crossed the #Severskiy Donets in inflatable boats and occupied a bridgehead on the opposite bank. The Ukrainian units are now waiting for the main forces to approach.
▪️ Russian forces have broken through a section of AFU defences southeast of the settlement in a counter-offensive near #Lyman. Ukrainian units retreated to the Seversky Donets area.
▪️ The Ukrainian command set up pontoon crossings across the #Oskol river to provide communications and logistical support to the group advancing on #Svatovo with rear support in #Izyum.
