⚡️☢️🇺🇦🏴☠️ UPDATE - Only one of two ZNPP units disconnected from power grid⚡️
after Kiev's strike commissioned again.
Earlier, the Ukrainian company Energoatom - the ZNPP’s operator - claimed that for the first time ever it had been completely disconnected from the power grid.
🇷🇺 MOSCOW, August 25. /TASS/. One of the #Zaporozhye NPP’s two power units that had to be disconnected from the power grid on Thursday after a bombardment by Ukraine’s armed forces is back in operation, the head of the military-civilian administration (MCA) of the Zaporozhye Region, Yevgeny Balitsky, has said.
"Today, as a result of a strike by Ukraine’s forces on high-voltage power lines in the area of the Zaporozhye NPP there was a fire in the territory of the security zone of the 750 kV power line. The fire caused a short circuit. The emergency protection system turned off two power units. A power outage in the whole of the Zaporozhye Region followed. Immediately after the fire was extinguished one power unit was put into operation," Balitsky wrote in his telegram channel.
Balitsky added that work was underway to restore power supply to the Zaporozhye Region and re-commission the other ZNPP power unit disconnected from the network. Power supply to all cities and districts of the region has been restored.
Earlier, the Ukrainian company Energoatom - the ZNPP’s operator - claimed that for the first time ever it had been completely disconnected from the power grid.
On Thursday, the media resource Zaporozhsky Vestnik said electricity supply for Melitopol, Energodar and a number of other localities of the Zaporozhye Region had been disrupted due to the Ukrainian army’s shelling of Energodar. A field near Energodar reportedly caught fire, which caused a short circuit at a substation.
Situation at Zaporozhye NPP
The Zaporozhye NPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper, next to the city of Energodar. With its six water-cooled water moderated 1000-megawatt VVER-1000 power units the Zaporozhye NPP is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. As Russia’s Defense Ministry has repeatedly said, Ukrainian forces have delivered several strikes on the NPP’s premises, using, among other things, drones, heavy artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems. The majority of attacks have been deflected by air defense systems, however, shells hit some infrastructure facilities and the vicinity of a nuclear waste storage facility, which is fraught with the risk of radiation leaks.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦💥 On yesterday's attack on the #Chaplino railway station⚡️
Russian forces attacked the Chaplino railway station in the #Dnipropetrovsk region yesterday. The Ukrainian authorities blamed Russia for the attack on a passenger train and claimed that several dozen civilians were killed.
However, Kiev was in no particular hurry to provide evidence of the "bloody crime". There was only one photo from the station, in which observers recognised a military truck (https://t.me/voenacher/27781) on the platform of a supposed passenger train, which was captured in the picture.
Today, the doubts have finally been dispelled: a video (https://t.me/Slavyangrad/6338) of the scene immediately after the attack has appeared on the net, clearly showing platforms with cargo and equipment covered with tarpaulins. This confirms that it was a military train that was the target of the attack.
Judging from the video, the troop cars were literally crushed and flattened by the explosion. The cameraman was only filming from one point, so it is difficult to determine the exact epicentre of the impact on the tracks and to assess the damage to the rest of the load.
🔻Could the missile have hit a civilian train that happened to be passing nearby? No!
▪️ Before the hostilities, only two long-distance trains passed through Chaplino: Krasnoarmeysk-Lvov and Krasnoarmeysk-Kirovograd. But they too passed through the station without stopping, and the probability that they were affected by yesterday's attack is practically nil.
▪️ Commuter trains from Dnipropetrovsk also go to Chaplino - up to 4 pairs of trains per day. The only thing you can see in the photo is that normal passenger coaches are affected, not the typical ER-2 trains.
Another important point is that the damaged train in the video is not on the main line, but on the outermost siding. Passenger trains simply do not run there, but it may well be that freight platforms or empty wagons are stationary or waiting to be reshaped.
🔻 Were there any civilian victims at all?
▪️ Unfortunately, yes: it is known that an 11-year-old boy died, and there is also information about the death of people in a car parked at the station. But they were accidental victims of a military target: for example, a child died from the explosion of the second landing that hit near a nearby village.
Moreover, the Ukrainian media are in no hurry at all to release the names and details of the deaths of the other 22 officially killed. This strange selectivity can only be explained by the fact that they were all soldiers: according to reports from the field, the number of AFU casualties during the attack is much higher than the reported number.
🔻 And what was the result?
Analysis of data from open sources suggests with certainty that the target of the Russian forces' attack was a military railway train. An unknown number of AFU fighters and several civilians who were in the vicinity of the explosions and happened to be victims of the attack were killed.
No matter how the Kiev authorities and resources try to portray the incident as a targeted attack on a passenger train, objective evidence suggests otherwise.
