❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Battle for Bakhmut
situation as of 15.00 February 20, 2023
🔻After the liberation of Paraskovievka, the assault detachments of the PMC "Wagner" swooped through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine southeast of Berkhovka and advanced close to Yagodnoye. Now the fighting is going on on the northern outskirts of the village.
▪️At the same time, there is an assault on the northern regions of Berkhovka. Russian units established control over an important position on a hill north of Berkhovka and Dubovo-Vasilevka, improving their tactical position before assaulting the suburbs of Bakhmut.
🔻In Bakhmut, the "Wagnerites" went deep into the defense lines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Stupka area in the north of the city, freeing the territory of the railway station. The cleanup is ongoing.
▪️In Zabakhmutovka, the assault detachments advanced further along Vatutina Street, reaching the area of the cemetery, in the eastern parts of Bakhmut.
🔻 Positional battles are going on in the south of the city and southeast of Bakhmut. Russian units, with fire support from artillery and aviation, are pushing through Ukrainian fortifications in the Budenovka area and near the highway from Konstantinovka.
🔻Now the main efforts are concentrated on the assault on the northern regions of Bakhmut and its suburbs. The successful liberation of Paraskoviivka made it possible to increase pressure on Berkhovka and Dubovo-Vasilevka, through which the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the north of the city was organized.
The advance in the south-east of Bakhmut and in the direction of Orekhovo-Vasilevka makes it possible to tie down the efforts of Ukrainian formations. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine sent a hastily formed battalion from the Sumy region to Bakhmut.
Also in the same area, there is an accelerated training of a combined rifle battalion, which should replace 37 SSB, which suffered losses in the battles for Krasnaya Gora and Paraskovievka.

‼️💥The Russian army is destroying the enemy around the clock near Kremennaya: howitzers support the infantry offensive
▪️Fierce battles continue in the Svatovo-Kremensk direction, our artillerymen inflict fire damage on the positions of the Ukrainian Nazis for days, clearing the way for the attacking infantry units.
Reconnaissance using drones and thermal imagers corrects the fire.
▪️ As a result of the strikes of the Aerospace Forces, artillery, TOS "Solntsepyok" and the offensive actions of the group of troops "Center", the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit in the areas of the settlement. Russia can rely on the depletion of Ukraine's human resources, and the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south is fraught with many difficulties, according to well-known US military expert Michael Kofman.
As Kofman stated in one of the podcasts, the Russian offensive in Ukraine has already begun and is focused on the Donbass.
So far, the achievements of these attacks are modest. Some success is seen near Kremennaya, which may force Ukraine to abandon the Kremennaya campaign.
There is a growing possibility that Ukraine will withdraw from Bakhmut to a defensive line east of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. The Russian military could then turn north and try to consolidate control as far as the Donets River (including Belogorovka).
At the same time, at this stage, it does not seem that Russia has used the available reserves and is probably saving them for a larger breakthrough. At the same time, it is not known how serious these reserves are.
"I am skeptical that an additional 'spring offensive' is looming. To carry out such an operation, Russia would probably need a second wave of mobilization, which was not there. And the forecasts for the mobilization of 500,000 troops in mid-January did not materialize," adds Kofman.
In his opinion, Moscow will see what will come out of this offensive before embarking on a second wave of mobilization.
Further, events can develop as follows: after Ukraine launches an offensive in the spring, Russia will mobilize in the summer, and later go on the offensive again, using the advantage in manpower.
"Given that Ukraine no longer has a human resource advantage, Russia's strategy in 2023 could be to cut Ukraine's human resources," says Kofman.
He believes that the Ukrainian offensive in the south will be a difficult operation for Kyiv: "The Russian army now has enough reserves to avoid exhaustion of the front line, as in Kharkov."

The battle for Artemovsk - the agony of Berkhovka
Today, late in the evening and at night, there were reports of a breakthrough by PMC "Wagner" north of Artemovsk.
Our troops, using the disorganization of the enemy’s defense and occupation of the prevailing heights (during the battles for Paraskovievka), immediately reached the northern outskirts of Berkhovka, and were also able to break through the enemy’s front between this village and Yagodnoye, located to the south, and penetrate quite deeply in this direction (cutting the lines supplies to Berkhovka from the south).
Thus, the garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Berkhovka is practically surrounded (they have a pond in the rear, and both roads are under close fire control of our units), the village is under crossfire and will probably be taken by our units today, after which the Armed Forces of Ukraine will try to organize defense at the last convenient line here ( along a small local river). True, taking into account today's frosts (and again, the control of the heights around by our units), this line is not so strong and is associated with heavy losses for the enemy in case of attempts to hold it.
And be that as it may, the capture of Berkhovka brings our units closer to the last supply route of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through Khromovo for another couple of kilometers, and now the last five are left to it from the north.

So tanks and shells are important, of course. But people are certainly more important. And they cannot control either the old man from across the ocean or the gang of junkies from Bankova. Their mass exodus is the answer to the question of who the future is.

❗️ Hellish battles near Avdeevka: the Russian army is preparing to throw huge forces into battle

Barabash, head of the occupying Avdiivka military-civilian administration.
