❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Situation on the Nikolaevsko-Krivoy Rog direction as of 1 p.m. on July 22, 2022 by @rybar:
The Ukrainian command is preparing for the previously announced large-scale offensive. In order to identify weaknesses in the RF Armed Forces' defenses on the front line, the AFU units conduct reconnaissance combat, knowing in advance about the likely losses in manpower.
▪️ During July 20-21, units of the 35th IRD, 46th OAEMR and 60th OPR attempted an offensive on the RF Armed Forces' positions on the Krivoy Rog section of the front.
➖ A company of the 18th Battalion of the 35th Brigade tried to take up positions in a wooded area near Andreevka. They were supported by soldiers of the 46th OAEMBr, who organized a ford across the Ingulets River north of Lozovaya.
Almost simultaneously, the 96th Battalion of the 60th Infantry Division launched an offensive from Knyazevka in the direction of Vysokopolye in order to dislodge the RF Armed Forces from their positions.
➖ The ground troops were supported by artillery crews, which hit the areas of Malaya Shesternya, Olgino, Kreschenivka, Vysokopolya, Andreevka and Ivanovka.
➖ Four Su-25 attack aircraft from the Voznesensk airfield and three Mi-8 helicopters from the base in Vladimirovka were engaged in the area of combat operations.
▪️ Artillery and mortar crews of the Russian Armed Forces, having uncovered the Ukrainian army's plan, carried out a massive shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive areas. Tank units supported by army aviation struck concentrations of Ukrainian formations.
▪️ During the fighting, more than 100 Ukrainian servicemen were eliminated and a company commander of the 98th battalion was taken prisoner. The remaining units retreated to their initial positions.
The wounded are being evacuated by helicopters. The personnel of the aforementioned brigades are demoralized, more than 20 people have refused to carry out combat missions.
▪️ In anticipation of a possible counterattack by the Russian Armed Forces, additional fortifications are being built at the Marjanovskoye-Velikaya Kostromka line in connection with the losses incurred.
▪️ Due to a shortage of military equipment on the Nikolaevsk-Krivorozhsk direction, Ukrainian units are restoring damaged equipment of the Russian Armed Forces for subsequent shipment to the area of combat operations.
🔻 Despite significant losses and low morale, the Ukrainian command will continue to probe the Russian Armed Forces' defenses in this section of the front.
Existing gaps in manpower are compensated by "cannon fodder" from other regions of Ukraine, including Odessa. At least two HIMARS MLRSs are deployed in the combat zone, engaging rear infrastructure facilities.

Allied forces are shelling Ukrainian positions along the entire line of contact. Fighting continues in the area of Belogorovka and Berestovoye, as well as Pokrovskoye.
🔻The Seversky section:
▪️ The AFU command expects an intensification of the Russian Armed Forces' offensive on Seversk. Fortifications are being built to strengthen the positions in the area of the settlement.
▪️ The 80th sep detached infantry battalion participating in the defense of the city was subordinated to it, two companies of which had lost over 50 percent of their personnel due to constant shelling.
▪️ At the same time, preparations are being made for the withdrawal of the most combat-ready servicemen of the AFU from Seversk in case of an imminent defense breakthrough.
🔻 In the Soledar area:
▪️ Ukrainian troops are trying to hold the line Yakovlevka - Soledar - Pokrovskoye. At the same time, amid incessant artillery fire and the offensive of the allied forces, the personnel of some units refuse to perform combat tasks.
▪️ Soldiers of the 72nd Brigade and the 24th Brigade are withdrawn from their forward positions on the eastern outskirts of Soledar to restore combat effectiveness due to panic.
▪️ In addition, the units of the 10th Detachment operating in the area 4 km north of Berestovoye have been rotated. The area around this settlement, as well as in Belogorovka and Pisetskyi is being mined.
▪️ Allied artillery crews hit the 14th Brigade's staging areas in Belogorovka, Zvanovka, Pereezdnoye, Soledar and Berestovo. Several APCs and a stronghold were destroyed.
▪️ Allied forces gained a foothold on the outskirts of Ivano-Daryevka.
🔻 In the Bakhmutovsky section:
▪️Wagner PMC units occupied the southern part of Pokrovskoye, the complete liberation of which will allow access to the eastern outskirts of Bakhmut (Artemivka).
▪️ In Bakhmut itself, active preparations are under way for a long-term siege of the city. A tank platoon is stationed at the Voda-Bakhmut enterprise.
▪️ In the area of the Bakhmut-Bakhmutskoye highway, strongholds are being established. In the vicinity of Shumy and Vasyukovka, counter-battery radars are deployed

The main efforts of the Ukrainian troops are focused on holding the occupied positions and strengthening the defensive positions.
🔻 In the Donetsk area:
▪️ To deter the RF Armed Forces, AFU artillery crews are shelling RF Armed Forces positions in Novobakhmutovka, Troitskoye, Nikolskoye, Vladimirovka and Panteleimonovka.
▪️ Artillery units of the Russian Armed Forces shelled AFU positions near Ugledar, Novomikhailovka, Avdeevka, Peski, Prechistovka, Vremevka, and Andreevka.
▪️ AN/TPQ-37 radars operate in the areas of Umansky, Berdychi and Yantarny to conduct counter-battery warfare. Visual surveillance is carried out through UAVs.
▪️ Engineer units of the 66th Brigade reinforce positions in Krasnogorovka by mining the approaches to the populated area.
▪️ After the troops of the 72nd Brigade withdrawn from Soledar are restored in combat readiness, they are expected to be sent to the Donetsk sector of the front. The combat readjustment and accelerated training of the new replenishment will be carried out at the training ground in Grodovka.
🔻 In the Zaporizhzhya sector:
▪️ The Ukrainian command is concerned about heavy personnel losses due to the constant fire action of the Russian Armed Forces and the lack of effectiveness of counter-battery fighting.
▪️ Therefore, U.S.-made AN/TPQ-36 counterbattery countermeasures radars deployed in Novoyakovlevka, Novoandreyevka, and Makarovka were assigned to this area.
▪️ The 128th OgshbR is being re-staffed after its withdrawal from the front line. Mobilized personnel undergo training at training ranges near Dnepropetrovsk and south of Zaporizhzhya.
▪️ Several Javelin and Stinger MANPADs are expected to be delivered to units on the front line in the near future. 155-mm FH-70 towed howitzers as well as RQ-20 Puma UAVs with laser targeting are deployed near Novovodarivka and Orekhovo.
▪️ Russian troops carried out strikes on AFU positions in Novoyakovlevka, Malye Shcherbaki, Kamenskoye, and Poltavka.
