❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Donbass offensive: situation in Eastern Ukraine For July 16-17, 2022 by @rybar:
▪️ In the past days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out several artillery raids on Russian territory: the border villages of Zernovo and Tetkino in the Bryansk and Kursk regions were shelled. There were no major damage or casualties. In the Belgorod region air defense facilities were working during the day.
▪️ Russian artillery units carried out a number of strikes on the territories bordering Russia in the Sumy Region: targets in Zarutskoye, Starikovo, Budivelny and Esmani were hit.
▪️ There is a relative lull in the Kharkov region.
➖ In the north of the region, the AFU relocated the AN/TPQ-50 counterbattery radar to the Cherkasy Tishkov area.
➖ The Russian Armed Forces carried out massive strikes on enemy facilities in Kharkov, including the Khartron factory, where foreign instructors were stationed.
▪️ In Eastern Ukraine, the main events remain concentrated in the Bakhmut (Artemivskoye) direction:
➖ Russian formations continued to suppress AFU defensive positions on the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk-Konstantinovka line with fire.
➖ In the southeast of Seversk, fighting for Ivano-Daryevka continues. In order to preserve the combat effectiveness of the AFU units in the area, the command conducted a rotation of the 1st Rifle Battalion of the Terrorist Defense Battalion.
➖ Due to a possible breach of the defense line, the command post of the Severskaya group of troops was moved to Zvanovka.
➖ In the Soledar area, units of the 1st and 2nd battalions of the 14th Brigade are holding their defenses against the advancing Allied forces in the vicinity of Belogorovka and Berestovoye. AFU artillery crews fired on the outskirts of Nikolayevka and Berestovoye, as well as Stakhanov from HIMARS MLRSs.
➖ In Bakhmut (Artemivsk), AFU engineering units are preparing defensive positions for an offensive by the Russian Armed Forces. The relevant preparations are also underway in the vicinity of the Uglegorsk thermal power plant and Novoluganskoye.
➖ In the Donetsk direction, the allied forces took positions along the Avdeevka - Kostyantynivka highway and gained fire control over the Kamianka - Avdeevka road. This made it possible to block several units of the 110th brigade in Kamianka.
➖ Fierce fighting took place at night in Marinka between units of the DPR People's Militia and the AFU.
▪️ In Zaporizhzhia region and in the Krivoy Rog direction, the sides continue to engage in artillery duels, without taking any offensive action.

▪️The Russian Armed Forces launched several missile strikes against the enemy in Kharkov in the late evening. At least one is known to have arrived near Pyatikhatok.
However, the main target of the strike by Russian formations was the Ukrainian army facilities in Chuguev, where at least three sorties were recorded during the night.
In addition, the suppression of AFU positions in the north of the Kharkov region in Zolochiv, Dergachy, Pechenega, Verkhniy Saltov and other settlements on the line of contact continued.
▪️ In the Slavyansk agglomeration, the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive strike against the Ukrainian formations at the NKMZ in Kramatorsk. Russian artillery also dealt fire to AFU positions in Slaviansk.
Artillery dueling along the entire line of contact continued in the Bakhmut (Artemivskoye) direction. Flights were reported at locations where Ukrainian forces were concentrated in Bakhmut, Seversk, Soledar, as well as at the territory of the Uglegorska TPP and other surrounding settlements.
In the Donetsk direction in the morning there was a rocket attack on the enemy in Toretsk. The suppression of AFU positions in Kamianka and Avdeevka continued.
▪️In the morning, locals reported air defense work over the Sinelnikovskiy district of Dnipropetrovsk region. In the evening, the Russian Armed Forces used MLRS to hit AFU facilities in Nikopol.
▪️In Zaporizhzhia region, artillery duels continue near Kamenskoye and Shcherbakov.
▪️At about 3 a.m., Russian forces launched massive missile strikes on AFU positions in Nikolaev. It is known of several arrivals at a dormitory in the Solyanye neighborhood, where Ukrainian servicemen were stationed.
▪️Overnight, Ukrainian formations continued shelling towns in the Donetsk agglomeration. The city of Stakhanov in the LPR was shelled from Western HIMARS.
During the night, the Ukrainian armed forces launched massive strikes against Novaya Kakhovka and Raisky in the Kherson region. According to preliminary reports, one of the BK depots was hit, some of the shells were intercepted by air defenses.
