In the morning, the Russian Armed Forces launched massive missile strikes on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. Russian forces hit substations and switchgear of the #Kanevskaya, #Kremenchug, #Prydniprovskaya, #Dneprovskaya and #Kievskaya HPPs, as well as the #Zalyutino substation in #Kharkov.
The attack caused large-scale power outages across the country and further reduced the stability of the Ukraine's unified energy system.
#Belgorod Region:
▪️ AFU militants shelled the border village of #Krasnoye in #Belgorod Region, with no civilian casualties. In the evening, air defence intercepted several aerial targets over #Belgorod.
#Starobelsk Direction (MAP (https://t.me/sitrepmaps/136)):
▪️ In the #Kupyansk area, the enemy, supported by foreign mercenaries, made another offensive attempt towards #Kuzemovka and #Orlyanka, but failed and retreated.
▪️ In the #Tavolzhanka sector near #Dvurechnaya the 14th AFU Mechanized Brigade formed assault detachments for a diversionary attack.
▪️ In the #Svatovo sector, the enemy command is moving forces into the #Borovaya area for another offensive against #Raygorodka.
▪️ In the #Lyman sector, units of the 66th Mechanized Brigade and 25th Airborne Brigade of the AFU undertook an assault on Russian positions near #Chervonopopovka, but were unsuccessful and withdrew.
▪️ In the #Lysychansk sector, Reconnaissance groupsof the Ukrainian 81st Airborne Brigade are operating on the front line, looking for weak points in the Russian defences.
#Lugansk People's Republic:
▪️ During the day, Ukrainian militants shelled #Alchevsk, #Svatovo, #Kremennaya and #Pervomaysk with HIMARS MLRS.
In #Alchevsk, residential buildings and the Metallurg Hotel were shelled.
Donetsk Direction (MAP (https://t.me/sitreports/442)):
▪️ Fighters of the DPR's People's Militia and 150th Motorized Rifle Division have advanced on the northern outskirts of #Maryinka and took control of boarding school No. 3.
Russian forces have also occupied several streets near Druzhba Avenue in the centre of the settlement and are clearing the outskirts of #Maryinka city council.
▪️ Ukrainian militants have shelled the #Donetsk agglomeration once again. #Donetsk, #Makeevka, #Yasynuvata, #Gorlovka and #Yelenovka came under fire.
#Ugledar Direction (MAP (https://t.me/sitrepmaps/135)):
▪️ Russian forces liberated more than half of the village of #Pavlovka and took control of the crossing at #Kashgalach River. The AFU retain control of the state farm on the opposite river bank.
▪️ In the northeast, Russian forces are advancing south of #Novomikhailovka, success in this area will allow them to take control of the #Ugledar - #Konstantinovka road and launch an offensive on #Ugledar from the northeast.
▪️ An Ukrainian Mi-8 transport helicopter was shot down by Russian units in #Konstantinovka.
#Zaporozhye Direction:
▪️ In #Zaporozhye region, Russian forces engaged targets in #Olginskoye, #Gulyaypole and #Zaliznichnoye, as well as in #Nikopol district and #Marganets on the north bank of the #Dnipro River.
#Nikolaev - #Berislav Direction on Southern Front:
▪️ Russian troops struck #Bereznegovatoye during the night and destroyed the site of an AFU artillery unit.

🇬🇧🇺🇦 Chronicle of strikes and mutual shelling in the SMO zone during the night of October 30-31, 2022
▪️At night, near Lyubimovka in Sevastopol, air defense systems shot down an enemy drone.
▪️In the Kharkiv region, Russian missile troops and artillery hit enemy manpower in Olkhovatka, Volchansk and Gatishche.
▪️In the Starobelsk direction, Russian forces worked on targets in Kucherovka, Stelmakhivka, Artemovka, Petropavlovka and Nevsky.
▪️At night, the RF Armed Forces carried out at least 6 missile strikes on the facilities of Ukrainian formations in Kramatorsk.
▪️In the Bakhmut (Artemovsky) direction, Russian forces inflicted fire damage on the enemy in Bakhmut, Soledar, Grigorovka, Sporny, Belogorovka and Razdolovka.
▪️In the Donetsk direction, Russian troops worked out on the defensive positions of the enemy in Maryinka, Vodyany, Krasnogorovka, Pervomaisky and Vugledar.
Ukrainian formations, in turn, fired at Donetsk and Gorlovka.
▪️The RF Armed Forces, with the help of the Geran-2 UAV, inflicted several strikes on enemy targets in Poltava, after arriving in the city, a powerful fire broke out. Powerful explosions were heard not far from the Round Square.
▪️Missile strikes on enemy targets in Zaporozhye.
▪️In the Dnepropetrovsk region, the Russian Armed Forces hit several targets in Dnepropetrovsk with kamikaze drones. In addition, Russian artillery worked on targets in Nikopol.
▪️During the night, Russian forces hit several targets in Nikolaev.

The command of the AFU´s OTG "Dnepr" has concentrated its efforts on conducting positional defence. The contingent previously stationed there was withdrawn from #Zaporozhye.
▪️ The command of the 65th AFU Mechanized Brigade continues to move additional units to the #Belogorye - #Charivnoye line.
▪️ Another convoy of military equipment and personnel moving southwards was observed near #Novoyakovlevka.
▪️ Formations of the 9th Special Purpose Regiment of the Ukrainian National Guard have established an advance observation post in the vicinity of #Kamenskoye. In the second half of 31 October, Russian troops struck National Guard positions, eliminating several men.
▪️ Units of the 102nd AFU Territorial Defence Brigade in #Novoselovka are monitoring Russian activity on the frontline and awaiting an offensive in the area.
▪️ Due to the active use of Geran-2 kamikaze drones, Ukrainian mobile man-portable air defence system launcher (MANPAD) groups are stationed near the settlements on the frontine.

#Kupyansk Sector:
▪️ Units of the 14th AFU Mechanized Brigade, reinforced by mercenary units, wanted to resume their offensive at the #Pervomayskoye - #Orlyanka line.
However, Russian troops launched a preemptive strike on enemy concentrations, forcing them to retreat to their initial lines. More than a dozen men, three tanks and four MBMs were destroyed.
▪️ More units of 232nd Battalion of 128th Territorial Defence Brigade were moved to the vicinity of #Petropavlovka. A maneuverable Signals Intelligence group of the 92nd AFU Mechanized Brigade is also operating near #Petropavlovka.
🩸 A series of unsuccessful attacks in the #Kupyansk sector last week has costed the AFU tangible losses in personnel and equipment. Therefore, the command of the 14th Brigade does not rule out the possibility of a counterattack by the Russian Armed Forces on #Kupyansk East of the city, the AFU has begun equipping defensive lines.
#Svatovso Sector:
▪️ Units of the 71st AFU Jager Brigade have crossed the #Zherebets River near #Stelmakhovka. They are ready to resume an assault on Russian positions.
#Lyman Sector:
▪️ Assault groups of the 25th Airborne Brigade are planning an attack on the Russian positions near #Chervonopopovka with subsequent access to #Kremennaya from the north.
▪️ The 3rd Battalion of the 66th AFU Mechanized Brigade has been moved to #Ploshchanka to block the #Svatovo - #Kremennaya road section and disrupt the Russian grouping's supply routes.
▪️ An artillery platoon of the 25th AFU Airborne Brigade's SAU Howitzer Division has arrived at the #Torskoye - #Terny line.
▪️ Russian artillery struck the AFU's staging areas in the direction of #Makeevka and #Chervonopopovka. As a result, four BMPs and three pickup trucks were destroyed.
#Lysychansk Sector:
▪️ Russian artillery and aviation struck the forward SRG position of the 81st AFU Airmobile Brigade on the #Serebryanka - #Belogorovka line, forcing the group to retreat to #Serebryanka.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
◽️ Massive attack launched by high-precision long-range air- and sea-based armament on 31 October at the facilities of the control, communication and energy systems of Ukraine have resulted in considerable disruption of guiding the groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and their logistic support.
◽️ Railroad deliveries of reserve forces and material means to the operations areas have been considerably disrupted. Production works at military industrial facilities of Ukraine have also been disrupted.
💥 In Kupyansk direction, a hostile battalion tactical group reinforced by foreign mercenaries made unsuccessful attempts to launch attacks towards Nikolayevka, Kuzemovka (Lugansk People's Republic) and Orlyanka (Kharkov region). All the attacks have been repelled.
◽️ The enemy has lost over 150 Ukrainian personnel and mercenaries, 3 tanks, 4 armoured fighting vehicles, and 6 pickups.
💥 In Krasny Liman direction, pre-emptive artillery fire attacks and operations conducted by Russian units against the AFU company tactical groups have resulted in frustrating enemy's attempts to commence an attack towards Chervonopopovka and Makeyevka (Lugansk People's Republic).
◽️ Over 30 Ukrainian personnel, 4 infantry fighting vehicles, and three pickups have been eliminated.
💥 In Nikolayev–Krivoy Rog direction, intensive action of Russian forces have resulted in preventing AFU units' attempts to launch an offensive towards Mylovoye, Sukhanovo, Bruskinskoye, Kostromka and Zelyony Gai (Kherson region). The enemy has been driven back to initial lines.
◽️ Over 110 Ukrainian personnel, 1 tank, 8 armoured fighting vehicles, and 8 pickups have been eliminated.
💥 Operational-Tactical and Army Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery have neutralised eight AFU command posts near Nikolayev, Bereznegovatoye (Nikolayev region), Andreyevka (Kherson region), Vodyanoye (Donetsk People's Republic), Kupyansk, Stepovaya Novosyolovka, Ivanovka and Golubovka (Kharkov region), as well as 63 artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 154 areas.
◽️ 3 ammunition depots have been destroyed near Kolodezi, Nevskoye (Donetsk People's Republic), and Novaya Kamenka (Kherson region). 2 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-50 electronic warfare radars have been destroyed near Belogorovka (Lugansk People's Republic), and Soledar (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥 Fighter Aviation has shot down 1 Su-24 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Apostolovo (Dnepropetrovsk region).
💥 Air defence facilities have destroyed nine unmanned aerial vehicles near Yevgenovka, Krasny Liman (Donetsk People's Republic), Voyevodovka (Lugansk People's Republic), Energodar (Zaporozhye region), Vasilyevka, Kalininskaya, Doslidnoye and Chervonoye Podolye (Kherson region).
💥 Moreover, 1 Tochka-U ballistic missile has been shot down near Antonovka (Kherson region), and six projectiles launched by Olkha multiple-launch rocket system near Donetsk.
⚠️ Kiev regime continues its provocations aimed at creating a possible technological disaster at Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
◽️ Over the past 24 hours, AFU artillery has launched over 20 projectiles at the north-western suburbs of Energodar and the territory adjacent to the nuclear power plant. The attacks were launched from AFU-controlled Marganets (Dnepropetrovsk region).
💥 The hostile firepower has been neutralised by Russian artillery's counter-attack.
☢️ The radiation environment near the nuclear power plant remains normal.

Colleagues from the War Whistleblower channel @milinfolive have pointed out (https://t.me/milinfolive/92728) an article by the US news agency CNN, the authors of which write about a shipment of Iranian strike UAVs and ballistic missiles to Russia.
If the purchase of drones is not surprising, in the second case the question may arise: why does the Russian Armed Forces need missiles from the Islamic Republic at all?
What exactly can Iran provide?
According to public sources, Tehran was considering supplying two types of systems - Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar.
▪️ The Fateh-110 is an operational tactical missile system on a three-axle vehicle chassis. A launcher without a container is mounted on the body of the vehicle.
The MLRS uses solid-propellant ballistic missiles, which are equipped with controls and guidance systems based on inertial and satellite navigation. The latest versions also have infrared homing heads (IR).
The Zolfaghar is an improved version of the Fateh-110, with a 1.5-meter longer hull, improved solid propellant engine and lighter hull made of carbon fiber.
The launcher is mounted on a dual-guided vehicle. The missile's warhead is fitted with an infra-red seeker, which improves guidance accuracy. It is activated in the last leg of the flight and improves targeting accuracy.
🔻 So why does the Russian Armed Forces need Iranian missiles?
▪️ The Fateh-110 is a cheaper counterpart to the Russian Iskander SAM. It is inferior in range and types of munitions used, but is superior to Iskander in terms of cheapness and weight of the warhead.
The Fateh family also has a modification, Ormuz, with an anti-radar surface-to-air missile system for countering radars and SAMs, which is quite relevant in the context of the unsuppressed Ukrainian air defenses (https://t.me/rybar/39327).
▪️ The Zolfaghar missiles are capable of destroying targets at ranges of up to 700 km. This makes it possible to hit targets at long distances with high accuracy and destructive power thanks to its powerful warhead.
🩸 In terms of increased operational and combat capabilities, the Iranian missiles will expand the range of weapons in addition to the more expensive Russian Iskander.
This will also make it possible to replenish Russian tactical weaponry and continue massive strikes against targets in AFU-controlled territory.
The GPS-guided precision-guided complexes could make a significant contribution to the military operation, which the US Himars have essentially done previously. The cheaper rockets from the MLRS did more damage than the expensive Iskanders.
High mobility and manoeuvrability, combined with a conventional wheelbase, will allow for the quickest and most effective strike at the target coordinates and escape from the launch area, avoiding detection.
