#PosadPokrovskoye Section:
The commanders of the 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 28th Mechanized Rifle Brigade are preparing for an offensive against Russian positions.
▪️ In this context, artillery shells have been delivered to the forward ammunition depots in #Lyubomirovka and #Lymany. And AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radars have been deployed in #Novogrigovka and Kirovo.
▪️ On the evening of 19 October, the AFU once again attempted to break into the Russian defence lines near #Pravdino with an armoured group of three BMPs. However, fighters of the 56th Airborne Assault Regiment destroyed two armoured vehicles with ATGMs. The attack was repulsed.
#Andreevka - #Berislav Section:
The AFU is restoring combat capability after the failed morning assault.
▪️ The command staff of the 17th Tank Brigade held another meeting in #Ukrainka to plan further actions in the #Kherson direction.
Immediately afterwards, the 1st and 3rd Companies of one of the Compound Battalions were moved to #Chervonoye and #Novogrigorovka, while the remaining units were transferred to the Novaya Kamenka area.
▪️ Due to high Russian aviation activity, Osa SAMs of the AFU 39th Air Defence Regiment were moved to Zolotaya Balka and north of #Dudchany, and man-portable air defence systems (MANPADs) have been deployed in Davydov Brod.
▪️ 22 units of military equipment with personnel, ammunition and fuel have arrived in the #Chervonoye district to replenish the 60th Infantry Brigade of the AFU.
▪️ Ukrainian UAV crews, including Bayraktar TB2, are conducting reconnaissance flights to the positions of the Russian Forces near #Zamozhnoye, #Sukhanovo, Chervony Yar, #Pyatikhatok and #Aleksandrovka.

#Kupyansk Sector:
The AFU are trying to gain a foothold in #Kislovka with the forces from the 14th Mechanized Brigade and 233rd Battalion of the 128th Territorial Defence Brigade. The enemy has no secure control over the settlement.
▪️ During the offensive, the Ukrainian Territorial Defense units suffered significant losses. Near #Petropavlovka, the assault groups are being replenished again.
▪️ Russian Forces are shelling AFU strongholds along the line of contact.
▪️ The Ukrainian command expects an active offensive by the Russian Forces on the #Sinovka - #Zagoruykovka line from the direction of #Gorobyevka. Engineers of the 14th Mechanized Brigade of the AFU have mined the approaches to the settlements, and several tanks have been sent to #Sinkovka.
#Lyman - #Svatovo Sector:
The AFU still continue to gather resources for an offensive on #Svatovo and #Kremennaya.
▪️ Consolidated foreign mercenary units have been deployed in #Gusinka, #Kondrashovka, #Vishnevka, #Tishchenovka, #Poydunovka, #Izyum, #Lyman, #Shchurovo and #Borovaya.
▪️ A mobile sabotage group is operating on the #Terny - #Nevskoye line to "probe" the Russian defences. Its main task being to direct artillery and MLRS at Russian facilities in the rear.
▪️ The AFU have moved several artillery pieces and MLRS launchers to the area west of #Raygorodka.

At noon, the Russian Forces again struck critical infrastructure facilities in #Ukraine. Several targets were hit, including Ladyzhinskaya TPP in #Vinnitsa and Burshtynskaya TPP in the Ivano-Frankovsk region.
Due to the systematic fire, the Ukrainian powery system is losing resilience. Authorities have planned a temporary power outage across the country on 20 October.
#RussianFederation Territories:
▪️ During the day, Ukrainian militants shelled #Belgorod, shells fell on one of the infrastructure facilities and caused no serious damage. Also AFU hit the town of #Shebekino in #Belgorod region. Two civilians were seriously wounded.
#Starobelsk Direction (MAP (http://t.me/sitrepmaps/36)):

#Soledar Direction (MAP (http://t.me/sitrepmaps/34)):
▪️ Formations of the 54th AFU Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade attempted to retake the territory of an asphalt plant. Wagner PMC fighters repulsed the attack and Ukrainian troops suffered heavy losses.
▪️ Due to the threat of a defensive breakthrough by Wagner PMC assault troops, the enemy command moved units of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade into the city and to the south of #Andreevka.
▪️ AFU units continue to arrive in Chasov Yar. By 25 October, the Ukrainian command plans to deploy a grouping of around 10,000 troops in that direction.
#Lugansk Region:
▪️ Ukrainian militants have launched a HIMARS MLRS strike on #Popasna.
#Donetsk Direction:
▪️ There are no significant changes in the front line near #Donetsk. DPR troops are fighting near #Donetsk airport, defeating enemy SRGs trying to penetrate advanced Russian positions.
▪️ Ukrainian militants again shelled #Donetsk, #Yasynuvata, #Makeevka, #Yelenovka and other settlements in the #Donetsk agglomeration.
#Zaporozhye Direction:
▪️ In the early hours of the morning, Ukrainian HIMARS missiles attacked the city administration building of #Energodar.
#Nikolaev - #Berislav Direction on Southern Front (MAP (http://t.me/sitrepmaps/35)):
▪️ In the #Berislav section, AFU forces with assault groups of 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, 60th Infantry Brigade, 28th Mechanized Brigade and 17th Tank Brigade launched an offensive on the Russian positions near #Sukhanovo and #Polyanka.
▪️ Russian Forces repulsed the attack, the Ukrainian formations lost more than 10 pieces of equipment. Russian servicemen captured a group of Ukrainian fighters and seized several trophy armoured vehicles.
▪️ In the Posad-Pokrovskoye sector, Russian Airborne Troops repulsed an attempted breakthrough by an AFU armoured group near #Pravdino and destroyed two enemy BMPs with anti-tank guided missiles.

🔎 Rybar's team continues its daily analysis of the consequences of systemic fire strikes on Ukraine's energy system.
🔻 Confirmed strikes:
▪️ #Burshtynskaya TPP - autotransformers struck. Located in the Ivano-Frankovsk region, the TPP supplies power to western Ukraine as well as Transcarpathia and Precarpathia. Depending on the severity of the damage, the entire southwest of the country could face significant power shortages.
▪️ #Ladyzhinskaya TPP - the facility was hit by three missiles, the exact extent of the damage is unknown. Together with the cascade on the #Dnipro River, the TPP feeds the entire south-west of the country, and a complete failure of the facility would increase the load on the grid and lead to power shortages in the region.
🔻 On Power Cuts:
Ukrainian authorities have announced rolling blackouts across all regions for 20 October, which will last from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. People have been urged to cut electricity consumption as much as possible. Street lighting will also be limited.
According to the deputy head of the presidential office, Kirill Timoshenko, if the power consumption is not reduced, it will be necessary to switch to temporary blackouts. First of all, businesses should reduce electricity consumption.
The Ukrainian energy system is experiencing a shortage of both generating and transmitting capacities. Autotransformers at substations and thermal power plants have been hit. And hydropower plants appear to have been switched to maximum electricity generation, but there is nothing to compensate for morning and evening consumption peaks.
🔻 So far it is impossible to confirm the degree of damage to the energy system at 30-40%, as #Kiev claims. However, the damage has already been quite severe, although not enough to cause a complete collapse.
The 750kV and 330kV switchgear of the remaining three NPPs could cause critical damage to the energy system fairly quickly. But they would also have a strong political cost.
Continued strikes on substations and thermal power plants would achieve the same effect. However, they would require more time and more missiles.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
💥 The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued launching attacks with high-precision long-range air-based armament at the military control and energy system facilities of Ukraine.
◽️ All the assigned targets have been neutralised.
💥 Concentrated fire of Russian troops have resulted in frustrating the attempts made by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to cross Zherebets River near Nadiya, Stelmakhovka, Makeyevka (Lugansk People's Republic) and Yampolovka (Donetsk People's Republic) at Krasny Liman direction.
◽️ The enemy has been driven back to initial positions by fire attacks launched by Russian artillery and army aviation.
◽️ Over 40 Ukrainian personnel, 2 armoured fighting vehicles and 3 pickups have been eliminated.
💥 Up to 3 AFU battalions, including 1 armoured, attempted to break the defence of Russian troops towards Novaya Kamenka–Chervony Yar (Kherson region).
◽️ The enemy succeeded in wedging into the defence of Russian units near Sukhanovo (Kherson region).
◽️ Russian command that involved armoured reserve forces and organised ambush operation that caused considerable casualties among enemy units and made Ukrainian units to escape disorderly.
◽️ The positions along the frontline have been completely recovered.
◽️ Over 200 Ukrainian personnel, 14 tanks, 16 armoured fighting vehicles and 7 motor vehicles have been eliminated at the abovementioned direction.
◽️ 3 tanks, 1 infantry fighting vehicle and 1 UR-77 mine action system have been captured as trophies.
◽️ 18 Ukrainian personnel have surrendered.
💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery have neutralised 3 AFU command posts near Dvurechnoye, Glushkovka (Kharkov region), Lyubimovka (Kherson region), as well as 72 artillery units at their firing position, manpower and military hardware in 179 concentration areas.
◽️ Moreover, 5 AFU provisional bases have been destroyed near Kramatorsk, Seversk, Kirovsk (Donetsk People's Republic), Novaya Kamenka and Pyatikhatki (Kherson region).
◽️ 4 munitions depots have been destroyed near Figolevka (Kharkov region), Artyomovsk, Petrovskoye (Donetsk People's Republic) and Matveyevka (Zaporozhye region).
◽️ Fuel depots for AFU military hardware have been destroyed near Ingulets (Dnepropetrovsk region).
◽️ 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-36 counterbattery warfare radar has been destroyed near Berkhovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
◽️ 1 ST-68UM low-altitude target detector has been destroyed near Nikanorovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥 Within the counterbattery warfare, 1 Olkha MLRS battery has been neutralised near Liptsy (Kharkov region).
💥 Air defence facilities have shot down 1 Mi-8 helicopter of Ukrainian air force near Terny (Donetsk People's Republic).
◽️ Moreover, 18 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle have been show down near Vysokoye, Sukhanovo, Sadok, Tomarino (Kherson region), Zelyony Gai, Skelki and Burchak (Zaporozhye region).
◽️ 3 projectiles launched by Olkha MLRS have been intercepted near Novomikhaylovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
