⚡️ Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine (October 2, 2022)
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
💥 Missile attacks launched at the concentration areas of 92nd and 14th brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) deployed near Sinkovka and Petropavlovka (Kharkov region) at Kupyansk direction have resulted in the elimination of over 100 Ukrainian servicemen and 12 units of military equipment.
💥 Attacks launched by Russian Aerospace Forces at AFU units deployed near Yampolovka (Donetsk People's Republic) at Krasny Liman direction have resulted in the elimination of over 200 Ukrainian servicemen, wounding 320, destroying 10 tanks and 25 infantry combat vehicles.
❗️ Kiev regime made an attempt to launch an offensive towards Nikolayev, Andreyevka and Krivoy Rog simultaneously at Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog direction.
◽️ The most intense offensive action of up to 6 AFU battalions, including 2 armoured ones, had been being conducted towards Davydov Brod.
◽️ At the same time, 2 reinforced AFU battalion tactical group had been carrying out an offensive towards the positions of Russian troops near Bruskinskoye and Kostromka.
◽️ The stubborn defence and massive fire attacks launched by Russian troops have resulted in frustrating enemy's offensive at the abovementioned area.
◽️ 31 tanks, 78 units of special equipment and over 240 Ukrainian servicemen have been eliminated.
📊 Over the past 24 hours of intense operations at Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog direction, Russian troops have eliminated 43 Ukrainian tanks, 89 units of other military equipment and over 400 Ukrainian servicemen.
💥 According to the revised data, high-precision missile attack launched by Russian Aerospace Forces on September 29 at the building of the directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Dnepropetrovsk has resulted in the elimination of over 35 personnel, including foreign advisors.
◽️ About 40 personnel of the Security Service of Ukraine are reported missing.
💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery have neutralised 51 artillery units at their firing positions, as well as 178 manpower and military equipment concentration areas.
◽️ The list of the neutralised targets includes the command post of a battalion from 46th Airmobile Brigade of the AFU near Belaya Krinitsa (Kherson region), provisional bases of 128th Mountain Assault Brigade of the AFU near Arkhangelskoye (Kherson region), 14th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU near Dvurechnaya and Kutkovka (Kharkov region), as well as training base of 9th Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine in Zaporozhye.
◽️ 7 missile, artillery armament and munitions depots have been destroyed near Sadovod (Kharkov region), Kalinovka (Nikolayev region), Zaliznichnoye, Rovnopolye and Obshcheye (Zaporozhye region), Kramatorsk and Volnoye Pole (Donetsk People's Republic).
◽️ 1 guidance radar of S-300 air defence missile system has been destroyed near Novaya Kaluga (Kherson region).
💥 Air defence facilities have shot down 8 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Olginka, Novopetrikovka, Kirillovka (Donetsk People's Republic), Sadok, Borozenskoye, Staritsa, Shevchenkovka and Osokorovka (Kherson region).
◽️ 22 projectiles launched by U.S.-manufactured HIMARS multiple launch rocket system have been destroyed in air near Novaya Kakhovka, Berislav, Vesyoloye and Brilyovka (Kherson region).
◽️ Moreover, 1 Tochka-U ballistic missile has been shot down over Brilyovka (Kherson region).
📊 In total, 310 airplanes and 155 helicopters, 2,134 unmanned aerial vehicles, 378 air defence missile systems, 5,281 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 858 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 3,443 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 6,126 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in #Kupyansk Section at 15:00 on 2 Oct 2022⚡️
▪️ Units of the 14th Brigade continue their consolidation on the left bank of the #Oskol river near #Dvurechnoye. Armoured equipment was moved through the settlements of #Andreevka and #Vodyanoye. An enemy artillery column crossed #Kutkovka.
▪️ Ukrainian forces failed to break through the defences of Russian Forces in #Tavolzhanka. Therefore, the command is planning an offensive in #Olshanskoye sector. As part of the preparations, the AFU artillery is shelling Russian positions on the line of contact.
▪️ At the same time, the 1st battalion of the 92nd AFU Brigade is advancing in the #Petropavlovsk sector to consolidate in the Olivovsky Yar area. An additional company eas sent to reinforce the 92 Brigade's assault group.
▪️ The Ukrainian command has tasked the 14th and 92nd AFU Brigades to break through the defensive lines of the Russian forces and reach #Orlyanskoye and #Nikolaevka from two directions in the next few days.
▪️ An electronic reconnaissance group is operating near #Kupyansk, providing targets to Ukrainian artillery along with reconnaissance drones.
▪️ Ukrainian SRGs operate in the forested areas in the territories controlled by the Russian Armed Forces, whose task is to identify the rear routes of the Russian Forces and organising ambushes. The groups are predominantly composed of foreign mercenaries.

GB: Get ready to be tested again. This time on the Nikopol-Kherson front.
According to various reports. the Ukrainian forces, with larger numbers, are conducting an offensive in the direction of Dutchany, Kherson Oblast of the Russian Federation. Russian Army and Akhmat spetsnaz are resisting the onslaught, with the situation stably difficult—but, nonetheless, stable. (see map below)
There are reports, as always, of reinforcements coming from the east, but the difficulty—as always—is how fast they can get there. The fact that the situation is stable is a positive development, and there is no evidence of loss of control or disorganization on the part of the defendants, They are defending well, and in an organized manner.
However, this pattern of multi-vector probing attacks is consistent with my expectation of the Ukrainian strategy. Having a shorter internal logistics structure and a more cohesive and better defended front line, they will continue to strike from the northern side to the southern front, pulling the Russian reserves first to one, then to another side, in a series of feints and false offensives, with the real strike concealed until the last moment. The short internal logistics network allows the Ukrainian army to conceal its ultimate objective.
I believe—as I have for months, even during the Kupyansk breakthrough—that Ukraine's real offensive objective is in Zaporozhye, with eventually a deep strike at Melitopol or Berdyansk in order to encauldron the Kherson grouping of the Russian army. A deep strike like that seemed inconceivable months ago—now less so.
As much as I believe this to be the Ukrainian objective, I equally believe it will not succeed. The depth of the attack is too far. This 4-5 times the depth of the Kupyansk-Balakleya-Izyum offensive, with its denouement in Krasny Liman (once again, here I am convinced that the heroic defense of Krasny Liman has given the Russian Army just enough time to shore up the Svatovo and Kremennaya lines and that is where the saga that began in Balakleya will end).
However, any delay in successfully countering the multi-vector attacks (all the while protecting the critical Zaporozhye direction) threaten to further undermine the morale (public and military) and will make the eventual victory over Ukraine all that much harder (the likelihood of such victory is not in question). For that reason, reserves must be rushed to the front from within Russia—not from one part of the front to another. The latter is suicide.
A further two (2) waves of mobilization must be declared and conducted over the winter in order for a wide-scale offensive to begin in the spring. The first, initial wave will plug the holes. The latter two (2) will enable victory.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Battle for #Donbass: Situation in Eastern #Ukraine at the End of 2 Oct 2022⚡️
#Kharkov Direction:
▪️ Units of the 14th Brigade of the AFU continue to entrench themselves on the left bank of the #Oskol River near #Dvurechnoye. Russian Forces repulsed enemy attacks near #Borovaya.
▪️ Assault groups of the 92nd AFU Brigade are trying to advance towards of #Orlyanka and #Nikolaevka.
#Lyman Direction:
▪️ Russian units have seized defensive positions on the #Kremennaya - #Svatovo line. Allied Forces are moving additional and engineering equipment to #Kremennaya to reinforce the city's defences.
▪️ Ukrainian formations have occupied the village of #Terny and occupied the right bank of the #Zherebets River.
#Bakhmut (#Arteomovsk) Direction:
▪️ Wagner PMC assault troops continue fighting on the outskirts of #Bahmut and #Soledar.
▪️ On the southern flank, the Wagnerians are storming the positions of Ukrainian militants in the villages of #Zaitsevo and #Otradovka.
#Donetsk Direction:
▪️ Units of the DPR People's Militia are advancing from the #Peski settlement further into #Pervomayskoye. About half of the settlement is under their control.
▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled residential areas of towns in #Donetsk agglomeration and killed several civilians.
#Zaporozhye Direction:
▪️ Ukrainian command continues to saturate the front lines with personnel and equipment, preparing for a potential offensive.
▪️ Russian Forces struck the training base of the Ukrainian National Guard´s 9th Regiment and industrial infrastructure in #Zaporozhye and hit targets in #Gulyaipolsky and #Ravnopolye.
#Dnipropetrovsk Region:
▪️ Russian Forces fired a barrage of Geran-2 munitions at an infrastructure facility in the centre of Krivoy Rog overnight.
#KrivoyRog Direction:
▪️ The AFU continue their offensive from #Novovorontsovka to reach Novaya Kakhovka. Russian Forces withdrew from the Zolotaya Balka settlement and entrenched themselves in #Dudchany. Heavy fighting on the whole contact line is ongoing.
