⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in #Starobelsk Direction at 12:00 on 6 Oct 2022⚡️
#Kupyansk Section:
▪️ On the #Kupyansk front, the 2nd and 3rd Battalions of the AFU's 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade with artillery support attempted to storm #Tavolzhanka and #Olshana. The Russian troops repulsed the attack and the AFU withdrew.
Due to numerous failures in this area, the Ukrainian command has changed tactics. The AFU formations plan to take #Olshana from the south (#Sinkovka) and from the north (#Gorobyevka). Air defenses in the area of #Lyman 1 provide cover from air strikes.
#Petropavlovsk Sector:
▪️ In the #Petropavlovsk sector, strike groups of the 14th and 92nd AFU Divisions continue attempts to reach the #Kislovka - #Orlyanka line. On the evening of October 5, tank units of the Russian Forces engaged the enemy in the area of Stepova Novoselovka.
During the clash, the Ukrainian infantry suffered losses and retreated to #Petropavlovka. Despite the defeat, the brigade command has given the order to take #Kislovka within the next 24 hours.
For this purpose, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of foreign mercenaries and members of AFU Special Forces is being formed in the #Petropavlovka area, comprising up to 20 people.
#Kremennaya Section:
In the #Kremennaya region, the AFU is finishing regrouping for an offensive on #Kremennaya and #Svatovo.
▪️ Up to 200 mobilised civilians were moved near #Torskoye. In the areas east of #Makeevka and south of #Ploshchanka, Ukrainian SRGs are active and probing the defences of Russian Forces.
For two days, Ukrainian artillery has been trying to take fire control over the #Kremennaya - #Svatovo road. Target acquisition is carried out by reconnaissance drones equipped with a projectile dropping device.
Units of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade form the backbone of the AFU offensive grouping. Control and coordination of operations in the two sectors #Svatovo and #Kremennaya is carried out from the command post in #Lyman.

▪️ After yesterday's failure in the storming of Ternovye Pody, the command of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the AFU conducted a rotation and organised the supply of ammunition to the #Lyubomirovka area.
▪️ On the morning of 6 October, an armored reinforced company of the 59th Brigade, supported by three artillery crews, from the vicinity of #Novogrigorovka, resumed the assault on Russian positions .
▪️ Barrel and rocket artillery of the Russian Forces is shelling the AFU attack groups. Fighting is currently ongoing.
▪️ Ukrainian formations are actively using UAVs in the front section of #Aleksandrovka. Apparently, the AFU are planning an attack on the settlement to reach the rear of the Russian Forces grouping in #Kiselevka and Ternovye Pody.

⚡️ Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine (October 6, 2022)
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
💥 Up to 3 battalion tactical groups made an unsuccessful attempt to resume their offensive towards Pershotravnevoye, Kislovka and Berestovoye at Kupyansk direction.
◽️ Decisive action of Russian forces has resulted in repelling all the attacks.
◽️ Up to 120 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), 5 tanks, 12 armoured combat vehicles and 14 motor vehicles have been eliminated.
◽️ Kiev regime's military units have conducted no active operations at Krasny Liman direction.
💥 2 Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been eliminated by Russian artillery fire near Petrovskoye (Kharkov region).
◽️ The attack has resulted in the elimination of 25 militants and 2 pickups with large-calibre machine guns mounted.
💥 Offensive of the allied forces has resulted in the liberation of Zaytsevo (Donetsk People's Republic) at Artyomovsk direction.
◽️ The offensive has resulted in the elimination of over 120 personnel from 58th Mechanised Infantry and 128th Mountain Assault brigades of the AFU, as well as 3 infantry combat vehicles.
💥 Attacks launched by army aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces near Novy Komar (Donetsk People's Republic) have resulted in the elimination of up to 60 servicemen from 56th Mechanised Infantry Brigade of the AFU, 2 tanks and 5 motor vehicles.
◽️ 4 enemy battalion tactical groups made numerous attempts to break through the defence of Russian forces towards Dudchany, Sukhanovo, Sadok, Bruskinskoye at Andreyevka-Krivoy Rog direction.
◽️ The enemy has been driven from the defence line of Russian forces.
◽️ Over 100 Ukrainian personnel, 6 tanks, 8 armoured combat vehicles and 9 motor vehicles have been eliminated.
💥 Missile and air defence attacks launched by Russian Aerospace Forces at the provisional bases of 35th Marine Brigade of the AFU near Davydov Brod (Kherson region), 46yh Airmobile Brigade of the AFU near Murakhovka (Nikolayev region), 60th Infantry Brigade near Trifonovka and Novaya Kamenka (Kherson region) have resulted in the elimination of over 280 Ukrainian personnel and 9 units of military equipment.
💥 High-precision missile attacks of Russian Aerospace Forces near Velikoye Artakovo (Nikolayev region), Novogrigorovka and Belaya Krinitsa (Kherson region) have resulted in the destruction of 3 pontoon crossings of the AFU over Ingulets river.
💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery have neutralised 9 AFU command posts, 63 artillery units at their firing positions, 173 manpower and military equipment concentration areas.
◽️ 4 missile, artillery armament and munitions depots have been destroyed near Seversk and Vodyanoye (Donetsk People's Republic), as well as near Zaporozhye.
💥 Within the counter-battery warfare, 2 Ukrainian Grad MLRS batteries have been neutralised by missile attacks near Dvurechnaya (Kharkov region) and Karpovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥 Fighter aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces have shot down 2 airplanes of Ukrainian Air Force: 1 MiG-29 near Novogrodovka and 1 Su-24 near Sviridonovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥 Air defence facilities have destroyed 9 Ukrainian UAVs near Chervonoarmeyskoye, Dmitriyenko, Charivnoye (Kherson region), Pokrovskoye, Poltava, Troitskoye (Lugansk People's Republic), Orlinskoye and Mospino (Donetsk People's Republic).
◽️ Moreover, 3 projectiles launched by Olkha MLRS have been shot down in air near Velikaya Novosyolka (Donetsk People's Republic).
📊 In total, 315 airplanes and 157 helicopters, 2,160 unmanned aerial vehicles, 379 air defence missile systems, 5,412 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 862 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 3,452 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 6,316 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Battle for #Kherson: Situation in the #Andreevka and #Berislav Sections at 14:00 on 6 Oct 2022⚡️
▪️ After several unsuccessful forays by Ukrainian mobile groups into positions of the Russian Forces south of Davydov Brod and near #Pyatikhatki, the Ukrainian command had the dead and wounded of the 57th and 60 brigade evacuated.
During the night and morning of 6 October, enemy SRGs operated on the #Kostromka - #Bruskinskoye and #Pyatikhatki - #Kochkarovka lines. Each group included four men from the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade and 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the AFU.
▪️ Two Bayraktar TB2 UAVs from #Kanatovo airfield are patrolling over the #Ingulets River. At least one SAM and several mobile man-portable air defence systems are stationed near Belaya Krinitsa to cover the Ukrainian grouping.
At 10:00, units of the 60th Brigade of the AFU, supported by mortar crews, began an attack on the #Pyatikhatki - #Polyanka line. At the moment, the fighting continues.
The forces of the 57th Brigade have again tried to storm the positions of the Russian Forces near the forest belt south of Davydov Brod. The artillery of the Russian Forces shelled the AFU assault groups and the enemy withdrew with losses.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in #Zaporozhye Direction at 15:00 on 6 Oct 2022⚡️
In the #Zaporozhye direction, the AFU continue to accumulate personnel and military equipment for the offensive.
▪️ The command of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the AFU has rotated personnel to the frontline. Another convoy of armoured vehicles has arrived from #Volnyansk station to reinforce the Dnepr Troop Grouping.
▪️ Ukrainian formations still intend to carry out an offensive against Russian positions at the #Orekhovsky and #Gulyaypol sections in order to cut through the front and possibly reach #Melitopol and #Berdyansk.
In recent days, UAV teams from the 44th Separate Artillery Brigade have been actively searching for Russian supply lines and air defence systems. Pro-Ukrainian citizens in the #Zaporozhye region have been assisting them.
▪️ The enemy command is paying special attention to counter-battery warfare. AN/TPQ-36 and AN/TPQ-50 radars are operating in the vicinity of Stepnogorsk and Malyye Shcherbaki, integrated into a common control and communication network between the units.
The Ukrainian command intends to implement a similar scenario in #Zaporozhye after the successes in the #Kharkov and Krivoy Rog regions. Strikes in several directions in the most vulnerable places, followed by deployment of mobile groups and wedging in the defensive lines.
In recent days, Ukrainian SRGs have been actively reconnoitring Russian Forces' defences in various parts of the front line. Reconnaissance drones, including Bayraktar, have been scouting the situation on the contact line. Primarily, Ukrainian Forces are trying to take out anti-aircraft missile systems and ammunition depots.
The landing of tactical landing troops from the left bank of the #Dnipro River, where the Ukrainian Forces are entrenched, cannot be ruled out. Such a scenario, assuming that an all-out attack is launched in the direction of #Zaporozhye, would make it possible to hit the rear of the Russian grouping in #Energodar and gain operational space in the direction of #Melitopol.
The command of the AFU has given orders to set up mine barriers and equip strongholds. The Ukrainian formations foresee a possible failure of their plan and are preparing troops to defend #Zaporozhye in case of a counteroffensive by the Russian Forces.

According to various sources, the AFU grouping in the #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk) direction currently numbers between 30,000 and 40,000 men. It includes units from the 55th Brigade, 93rd Brigade, 128th Brigade, as well as militants of the Aidar battalion.
▪️ In the course of the offensive from the #Nikolaevka Second, units of the Wagner PMC captured an AFU stronghold at a road junction south of #Otradovka and are moving further towards #Kurdyumovka. #Otradovka itself also came completely under the control of the Wagnerians.
▪️ Reports of the liberation of #Zaitsevo south of #Bakhmut proved premature. Most of the settlement is controlled by the Wagner PMC units, but the Ukrainian Forces remain present in the western part of the village, where fierce fighting is taking place. The advance of the advancing forces is being slowed down by a difficult mine situation.
▪️ The Wagnerians have also liberated the village of Veselaya Dolina and are advancing further towards #Ivangrad.
▪️ In #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMC units managed to expand their control zone along the highway and enter the industrial zone along Patrice Lumumba Street and occupy the Asphalt plant in the south-east of the city.
▪️ Information about a massive retreat of the Ukrainian Forces in the #Bakhmut direction does not yet correspond to reality. The numerically superior Ukrainian units are putting up fierce resistance against the advancing Wagner PMC troops.

▪️ 5 days ago the enemy launched a powerful offensive in the Berislovka section of the front, where we had a stretched focal point defense with large gaps between strongholds, narrowing the front allowed us to strengthen the defense.
▪️ Once the new defensive line was established, the front practically stabilized, this was also helped by the reserves being drawn up.
▪️ "There was practically no equipment left behind during the retreat, apart from a couple of trucks, but they were already out of action," report fighters of the 76th Airborne Division.
▪️ Contrary to erroneous reports, the fighters of the 126th Coastal Defense Brigade and paratroopers managed to hold Dudcany after the explosion of the bridge.
▪️ Our people are standing on the bank of the reservoir and have been repulsing enemy offensive attempts for 3 days, with the army's Rosgvardia Special Forces coming to the rescue.
▪️ Over the past 24 hours, 4 battalion tactical groups of the AFU repeatedly tried to break through our troops' defenses towards Dudchany, Sukhanovo, Sadok, and Bruskinskoye.
▪️ "We are blocking the enemy's constant attempts to break through. The concentration of our units is so dense that even if there is a breakthrough, we will neutralize it. I haven't seen so many artillery units in one place yet," adds a fighter of 76gv.
▪️ Our artillery is actively working on the enemy from both banks of the Dnieper.
▪️ Aircraft are also helping to repel the onslaught of the AFU. Striking Ka-52 helicopters burned several dozen units of the enemy's armored vehicles in 5 days.
▪️ Fighting continues near Dyvydov Brod, troops hold positions in the forest belt, and artillery and aviation strike the attacking AFU forces.
▪️ The Ukras spread a fake about their occupation of Snegiryovka in Nikolaev Oblast, our comrades on the ground confirm that the enemy tried to attack airborne positions in the area, but retreated with losses.

On the probable offensive of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Zaporozhye direction
Earlier we wrote that Ukrainian formations are preparing for an offensive in the Zaporozhye direction. According to the characteristic signs, we assume that the preparation is close to completion.
🔻 What is the AFU's plan?
▪️The use of mobile groups
Since October 3rd, Ukrainian DRGs (Diversionary Reconnaissance Groups) of up to 20 men have been conducting daily reconnaissance operations in the areas of Mirnoye and Pologi settlements, and before that in Gulyai Pole. The groups consist of foreign mercenaries, mainly Poles.
Their main task is to cut in and gain a foothold by exploiting gaps in the Russian Armed Forces' fighting lines.
▪️ Massive artillery attacks
DRG activities are accompanied by massive artillery and MLRS fire. Ukrainian troops are firing indiscriminately at Russian positions almost non-stop.
Over the course of September, more than 20 Western-made barreled and self-propelled artillery pieces were transferred to the Gulyai Pole and Orekhov sites.
The main purpose of the first two sites is to probe the most vulnerable points in the Russian Armed Forces' defences and wear out the Russian contingent due to constant attacks and strikes mainly at night.
▪️Concentration of armoured vehicles at the main strike sites
Simultaneously with the actions of the assault groups, the AFU is moving a large number of armoured vehicles in the direction of the main strike to cut into the Russian Armed Forces' defence.
Just today a column of military equipment, including six tanks, arrived at the Stepnogorsk-Orekhov line. At the same time, Ukrainian SAM systems have been moved to the southern outskirts of Zaporozhye to cover ground forces, and mobile MANPADS firing teams are operating on the line of contact.
▪️Masking the main direction
And the most important thing for the AFU is to ensure the secrecy of the activities carried out. To this end, the Ukrainian command conducts deliberate disinformation through both open and closed sources.
Only recently, we wrote about the fact that in a radio exchange the units of the 66th AFU detachment deliberately reported the withdrawal of the unit from the direction due to allegedly heavy losses in manpower and equipment in the hope of an offensive by Russian troops.
In order to mislead the Russian command, the AFU conducted a demonstrative redeployment of forces in false directions, forcing the RF Armed Forces to redeploy units to hold the line.

▪️ In the Posad-Pokrovskoye sector, the AFU are firing disturbing mortars near #Lyubomirovka. Logistics services have arranged for the delivery of ammunition and food to #Zarya.
▪️ In the #Snigirovka sector, the Ukrainian command has formed an assault group from 105th and 106th Battalions of the 63rd AFU Brigade in the #Novoselovka - #Kiselevka area for an offensive on #Maksimovka.
▪️ In the #Andreevka sector, the command of the AFU´s 57th Separate Mechanized Infantry Brigade conducted a rotation of personnel from the 42th to the 34th Battalion of the compound.
Near Sukhoy Stavok, artillery crews of the 3rd Battalion of the AFU's 28th Brigade have taken up positions and are firing indiscriminately into the #Kostromka and #Bruskinskoye areas.
▪️ In the #Berislav area, the AFU has formed a combined grouping of the 128th Mountain Assault Infantry, 60th Infantry and 17th Tank Brigades in the #Chervonoye - Novaya Kamenka area. Communication between the units was established via Starlink.
Near #Petropavlovka, a position room is being set up for barrel, self-propelled and reactive artillery of the 60th Infantry Brigade Artillery Group.
The Engineer forces of the 60th Brigade are setting up strongholds on the #Trifonovka - Novaya Kamenka line, where two companies of the Brigade's 98th Battalion will arrive in the morning.
The Ukrainian command is regrouping its forces ahead of the planned offensive over the next 24 hours.
It is likely that sabotage groups of the AFU will continue their sorties in the most vulnerable parts of the front during the night, and a new stage of the offensive on #Kherson and Novaya Kakhovka will begin in the morning.
