Domestic Telegram channels are writing a lot about the beginning of the offensive on Avdeevka. Why they write about it - it is clear. It is, first of all, an anticipation of the expectations of the residents of the DPR, who suffered greatly from the indiscriminate fire of the AFU on residential areas.
In our video-explainer we explained in detail why Avdiivka has not yet been taken and what the difficulty of taking it is. If you still haven't watched the video, let's summarize it simply: taking Avdiivka will not remove the threat of shelling, and in addition to Avdiivka itself, a broad buffer zone must be created.
With the current configuration of the front, this is unlikely: first it is necessary to level the front to the north and take at least the Seversk - Soledar - Bakhmut (Artemovsk) line, repulsing the AFU defensive lines. Attacking Avdiivka head-on now is difficult: it is fraught with a huge expenditure of far from infinite manpower and resources, as well as losses in manpower and equipment. This is because Avdeevka is surrounded by a very powerful fortification that must be bypassed from the north.
▪️At the moment position fighting with active artillery preparation is going on in Peski and Krasnogorovka with periodic capture of small strongholds in the fields. The artillery has swept out the AFU units that arrived by rotation: Ukrainian servicemen have fled from the unaccustomed. This is not the first such operation; these are the usual realities of war on a local section of the front, which do not affect its overall configuration much.
The offensive in the Spartak - Opytnoye sector did not yield any results. However, we can assume progress in the assault on Sandy, at least in one of the three directions of the offensive. But progress is expressed only in the grinding of enemy manpower.
▪️ In Marinka, so far there has been no effective progress, except for the occupation of the AFU stronghold near the mine ventilation shaft (https://t.me/Slavyangrad/3789) (the actual passage of 300 meters). This is a company-level success, but the Shchurovo mine slagheap still needs to be reached.
▪️There is not a single fact documenting little to no progress under Avdiivka itself.
▪️Massive and more effective than before firing is there: as the AFU has rotated near Avdeevka, a cadre of young Ukrainian recruits is now being methodically slaughtered. And allied forces are tackling the priority task of suppressing enemy firing points.
But it is highly premature to say that Avdiivka is about to be stormed.

▪️ The air defense system went off over the village of Novosadovoye on the outskirts of Belgorod this morning. There were no civilian casualties or injuries.
▪️ In the morning hours, the Russian Armed Forces carried out massive missile strikes on the training point of the 57th brigade and 55th oabr of the Ukrainian army in the village of Goncharovskoye in the Chernihiv region. In addition, Russian artillery struck enemy positions in Tolstodubovo and Ryasne in the Sumy Region.
▪️ In Kharkov region there are no significant changes on the front line. Positional battles and artillery duels continue along the entire line of contact. During the night hours, Russian troops hit AFU facilities in Kharkiv, Chuguev, and other cities in the region.
▪️ In the past 24 hours, the main events unfolded in the Avdiivka direction in Donbas. In the vicinity of Bakhmut (Artemivsk), the parties are preparing for a further offensive of the allied forces.
➖Russian aviation destroyed an S-300 SAM launcher near Kramatorsk.
➖After capturing Novoluganskoye and Uglegorsk TPP, Allied forces are preparing for a further offensive. Reports of the Russian Armed Forces establishing control over the village of Vershina were not confirmed.
➖In a recent retreat from Pokrovskoye, Ukrainian servicemen from the 58th OMBr came under fire from the 118th Terror Brigade occupying defensive positions in the vicinity of Bakhmutskoye.
➖The Allied forces, having occupied the shaft of the Shchurovka mine, advanced to the strategically important waste heap in Marinka. The occupation of the heights and the AFU stronghold will make it possible to liberate the entire village.
➖Russian artillery and missile units, supported by the Russian Air Force, are continuously working on the enemy fortifications in Avdiivka.
➖ Ukrainian formations, in addition to shelling towns in the Donetsk agglomeration on a regular basis, have begun to remotely mine towns with "petals" mines from Uragan multiple rocket launchers. As a rule, civilians from the Donbass fall victim to these low-visibility and dangerous shells.
▪️ In the Zaporizhia direction, Ukrainian formations in the morning hours dropped an explosive device from a UAV on the Sosnovy Bor settlement near Energodar, no casualties.
The Russian Armed Forces, in turn, hit AFU positions in Stepnogorsk, Kamenskoye and Malye Shcherbaki.
▪️ In the Krivoy Rog direction, the sides continue to prepare for further combat operations. In the area of Topolinoe, the Russian Air Force struck a large concentration of enemy manpower, among them a large number of 200s and 300s.

That strike on the pretrial detention center should be the end of all Western support. Unfortunately, it will not be. How will the Nazis in the Ukrainian high command respond? Were they complicit with denazification as well? Or will Zelenskyy pay for this?
Its really sad and sickening how low the ukraine can sink and kill 52 own soldiers with that attack on the PoW prison, they sure knew who was interned.
