⚔️ Fighting results and the situation on the fronts by the morning of 22 September ⚔️
During the difficult negotiation process, 55 Russian servicemen, who had shown courage and heroism in combat and honorably endured torture in the captivity of the Ukrainian Nazis, were released from Ukrainian captivity. Another 32 heroes will return to their homeland today.
For the liberation of our fighters, the Ukrainian regime had to hand over insistently requested fighters from the Azov National Front and foreign mercenaries. The Ukrainian side rejected the offers of exchange for the rank and file of the AFU, even in the proportion of 20 to 1 - they do not need rank and file soldiers, they need status Nazis. Well aware of the nature of these characters, Turkey kindly agreed to intern the Azov top brass until the end of hostilities.
As a goodwill gesture from the Ukrainian side, the Ukrainian opposition politician Viktor Medvedchuk was handed over to Russia. (The editorial board is perplexed as to why we need him.)
▫️There are no significant changes in the Kupyan-Izyum direction. Fighting continues in the eastern part of Kupiansk. Near Rubtsov, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to break through the Russian Armed Forces' defensive lines to bypass Liman from the north.
▫️The situation in the Liman direction remains difficult. Units of the Ukrainian armed forces have entered Drobyshevo: there is fighting in the village. A pontoon crossing near Studenok is hit by a missile strike. In the south, the Ukrainian armed forces continue to cling to villages south of Liman, moving reinforcements across the Seversky Donets.
▫️In the Bakhmut-Sole Darya direction, fighting continues in the Seversky section near Sporny and Belogorovka. There are urban battles in Bakhmut and Soledar, there are no significant changes. The Wagner PMC is fighting near Veselya Dolina, Zaitsevo and for fortifications near Kurdyumivka.
▫️ In the Donetsk direction, fighting continues in Pervomayskoye, Marinka, near Opytnoye. The Ukrainian Armed Forces started to remove minefields near Krasnogorovka.
▫️On the Ugledar-Zaporizhzhya direction no significant changes have been recorded. Ukrainian troops are active near Orekhovo and Vasilievka, and UAVs are operating.
▫️ In the Nikolaevsko-Krivorozhsky direction there are position battles in the Posad-Pokrovsky and Vysokopolsky areas. The stationary crossings to the Andreevsky bridgehead have been confirmed out of action: the water level in the Ingul River has risen by more than 1.5 meters. Supply to the remnants of the AFU on the left bank is being provided by pontoon crossings near Ternova.

⚡️ Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine (September 22, 2022)

◽️ The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
💥 Russian Aerospace Forces have neutralised the manpower and military equipment of the units from 93rd Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Monachinovka (Kharkov region).
◽️ The attack has resulted in the elimination of up to 100 militants and up to 20 units of military equipment, including 1 HIMARS multiple rocket-launching system (MRLS).
💥 Fire attack launched at the units from 14th Mechanised Brigade that made an unsuccessful attempt to pass through Oskol river near Dvurechnoye (Kharkov region) has resulted in the elimination of up to 30 enemy's servicemen and 6 infantry combat vehicles.
💥 Russian Aerospace Forces have launched high-precision attacks at the provisional bases of the units from 65th Mechanised Infantry Brigade, 19th Escort Guard Battalion and mercenaries from the 'Foreign Legion' near Zaporozhye. The AFU has lost up to 150 militants and 19 units of military equipment.
💥 High-precision air-based missiles have been launched at the provisional base of 17th Tank Brigade and a munitions depot of 80th Airborne Assault Brigade of the AFU near Seversk (Donetsk People's Republic).
◽️ The attacks have resulted in the elimination of over 90 Ukrainian servicemen, 15 units of military equipment and more than 1,000 munitions for mortars.
💥 Fire attacks launched at the positions of 60th Infantry Brigade near Novovoznesenskoye and Mirolyubovka (Kherson region) have resulted in total neutralisation of 96th Battalion's combat capacity. The rest of the personnel has abandoned the operations area.
💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery have neutralised: 1 command post of a battalion from 1st Tank Brigade of the AFU near Vesyoloye (Donetsk People's Republic), 3 artillery platoons of U.S.-manufactured M-777 howitzers near Velikaya Kostromka (Dnepropetrovsk region), Dneprovskoye and Yavkino (Nikolayev region), as well as 1 platoon of HIMARS MRLS near Bereznegovatoye (Nikolayev region).
◽️ Moreover, the manpower and military equipment of the units from 14th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU have been neutralised near Gusinka (Kharkov region), 46th Airmobile Brigade of the AFU and Belogorka (Kherson region), as well as 72 artillery units, 138 AFU manpower and military equipment concentration areas.
💥 4 AFU munitions and armament depots have been destroyed near Mochaninovka (Kharkov region), Poltavka and Olgovskoye (Zaporozhye region).
💥 Air defence facilities have shot down 17 unmanned aerial vehicles near Beryozovoye, Urozhaynoye, Stepnoye, Valeryanovka (Donetsk People's Republic), Ternoviye Pody (Nikolayev region), Maksima Gorkogo, Charivnoye, Stepnoye and Novaya Kakhovka (Kherson region).
◽️ In addition, 37 projectiles launched by multiple rocket-launching systems, including 27 projectiles launched by HIMAR, have been destroyed in air near Svatovo (Lugansk People's Republic), Kakhovka hydroelectric plant and Kherson, as well as 10 projectiles launched by Olkha near Makeyevka, Volnovakha (Donetsk People's Republic), Chervony Mayak (Kherson region) and Kherson.
💥 7 U.S.-manufactured HARM anti-radar missiles have been shot down near Chernobayevka (Kherson region).
📊 In total, 295 airplanes and 155 helicopters, 2,035 unmanned aerial vehicles, 375 air defence missile systems, 5,073 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 842 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 3,406 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 5,786 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in the #Kharkov Direction at 14:30 on 22 Sep 2022⚡️
The AFU launched a counteroffensive to reach the borders of the LPR and flank the grouping of Allied Forces. They succeeded in partially breaking through the defence lines of the Russian Forces in the #Dvurechnoye-#Kupyansk area.
▪️ Assault units of the AFU's 14th and 92nd Brigades used a crossing near #Dvurechnoye to pass the #Oskol River and bypass #Kupyansk from the north, taking advantageous positions for the offensive.
It is likely that the village of #Tavolzhanka is in the grey zone and the Russian Armed Forces control the eastern outskirts. Otherwise, it would be impossible for the AFU to reach the northern outskirts of eastern #Kupyansk.
▪️ At the same time, servicemen of the 14th Brigade set up pontoon bridges near #Kupyansk itself. Fighting continues in the settlement. The AFU intends to reach #Kucherovka with subsequent access to #Petropavlovka.
▪️ To cover the troop grouping on the right bank of the #Oskol river, the AFU has deployed mobile MANPADS groups. Massive artillery fire is being directed at the Russian Forces' positions east of #Kupyansk.
▪️ Russian units launched a missile attack on Ukrainian servicemen of the 14th Brigade crossing the #Oskol at #Dvurechnoye. The crossing itself has been partially disabled and is being actively rebuilt. Four BMP-1s were damaged.
▪️ The Ukrainian command intends to consolidate on the opposite bank these days and establish full control over #Kupyansk and #Petropavlovka. Reserves continue to be moved to the demarcation line along the #Oskol river.
▪️ A pedestrian crossing is in operation near #Senkovo south of #Kupyansk - Ukrainian forces still have the possibility to deploy sabotage and reconnaissance groups to this section of the front.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦📐 Shelling of Donetsk's Central Market on 22 September 2022⚡️
This morning, Ukrainian Forces once again shelled residential areas in the centre of Donetsk with large-calibre artillery.
Several strikes hit the central market area at once, and one of the shells hit directly a passenger bus.
At least six Donetsk civilians were killed, including a girl born in 2008. Six people were injured.
🔎 Our OSINT team analysed images from the scene. The shelling came from the north-west from the direction of #Orlovka, which is just over 20 km from the centre of #Donetsk.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Krasny #Lyman at 22 Sep: 3td AFU Offensive⚡️
Yesterday the AFU launched its third offensive in the Krasny #Lyman direction (the first two were successfully repelled by the town's garrison).
The main strike this time was launched to the north-west of the town, bypassing the town from the direction of the #Oskol Reservoir and under the cover of artillery located behind it.
Consequently, after taking control of the village of #Rubtsy and reaching the village of #Drobyshevo, today the enemy tried to extend its success towards the village of #Redkorub (up to two companies with 25 BMUs), but was met with heavy fire from Russian artillery and retreated back to #Rubtsy.
Nevertheless, by evening it is trying to gain a foothold in Koroviy Yar (the result is still unclear) and thus the enemy's main intention is already clearly visible, and therefore it is very likely that tomorrow will be the critical part of the third assault of Krasny Lyman.
But no matter how difficult it was for the volunteers from the Kuban and the Russian Armed Forces soldiers in Krasny #Lyman today, the main result of almost two weeks of fighting for this key city is that despite the numerical superiority of the AFU, they did not allow the enemy to repeat the success that they had achieved in the #Balakleya-#Izyum area. At the same time, the enemy's losses in this area have already exceeded those of the entire Balakley-Izyum offensive.
