❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Deportation from Donbass to question the legitimacy of the upcoming referendum. Two articles🔻
MOSCOW, August 1. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army is forcibly evacuating civilians from Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) and marauding homes, the Lugansk People’s Militia’s spokesman, Andrey Marochko, said on Monday.
"We observe forcible evacuation of civilians from Artyomovsk [by the Ukrainian forces]. Also, there have been cases of marauding with support from Ukrainian military commanders locally, because they think that civilians’ valuables are their spoils of war," Marochko said on Russia’s Channel One.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk said that the country's authorities intended to carry out mandatory evacuation of local residents from Donbass. She explained that in areas under Kiev’s control there is no gas or electricity supply, which would pose a threat to civilians in wintertime. On July 30, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced that the government had decided on the mandatory evacuation of civilians from the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk Region.
On July 1, the leader of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, said that the Ukrainian authorities announced mandatory evacuation in order to be able to question the legitimacy of the forthcoming referendum in the DPR on joining Russia.

MOSCOW, August 1. /TASS/. Ukraine has announced mandatory evacuation of the population from the territories in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) that are still under its control to challenge the legitimacy of a referendum on the republic’s accession to Russia, DPR’s leader Denis Pushilin said on Monday.
"Any steps of the Ukrainian regime are geared at anything but defending the interests of civilians, the more so in Donbass. Here, such statements (about mandatory evacuation - TASS) have absolutely clear goals. These are elements of the frustration, attempts [at challenging] the legitimacy of a referendum due to be held in the Donetsk People’s Republic. What does [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky want? After these settlements are liberated, he will say: ‘There were no people there, what kind of referendum you are speaking about?’ It is a kind of preparatory work," he said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel.
Earlier, chairman of the DPR’s Public Chamber Alexander Kofman told TASS that a referendum on the accession to Russia may be organized in the republic in mid-September.
On July 30, Zelensky said that Ukraine’s government had decided to involuntarily evacuate people from the Donetsk region’s territories under its control. According to Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk, those refusing to be evacuated will have to sign a document recognizing their responsibility for their lives.

Donetsk Offensive Arc Update:
Conservatively, it can be assessed that at least 65% of Péski has been liberate, owing primarily to exceptionally accurate preparatory artillery barrage.
A significant bounty in trophies and Ukrainian POWs has been taken by the Donetsk Republic’s People’s Militia 1st Corps.
The Allied forces have also pushed into Krasnogorovka (west of Donetsk) and Maryinka, with success, and into the northern part of Avdeevka.
With the withdrawal of several Ukrainian units from the Donetsk defensive lines to the Kherson-Krivoy Rog theatre of the conflict, the continued forward progress should continue to accelerate.
