American Merc shooting up a school in Ukraine:
❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on February 24
▪️AFU launched massive strikes on Popovo Lezhachi in Glushkov district of Kursk Region.
About a dozen residential houses and civilian buildings came under fire. One of them caught fire, but casualties were avoided.
▪️In addition, Ukrainian formations again shelled the border town of Shebekino in Belgorod region.
One of the unexploded shells was found on the territory of a children's playground.
▪️In Kup’yans’k sector, Ukrainian forces relocate personnel to Dvorichna.
The enemy command is planning a counteroffensive against Russian positions on the eastern bank of Oskil, but the operation is unlikely due to a lack of manpower.
▪️After the liberation of Berkhivka, Wagner PMC fighters stepped up their assault on the Ukrainian garrison in Yahidne.
The storm troopers managed to dislodge the enemy to the outskirts of the settlement, finally cutting off Bakhmut from the north-west.

The enemy is trying to counterattack from Min'kivka direction and regain control over part of the road to Slovyansk.
▪️After fighting in Pobjeda, Russian troops had to regroup and retreat.
Unsupported, the fighters withdrew in an orderly manner along the road to Mar’inka and took positions to the southwest of the town.

As we already wrote, the Russians began to use unmanned armored personnel carriers stuffed with explosives at the front. They are sent to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and undermined remotely. Many sources report this.
Yesterday, the American "Institute for the Study of War" mentioned this fact in its daily report. He said that the Russians used a remote-controlled improvised explosive device north of Kremennaya.
It was reportedly manufactured by the 35th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade (41st Combined Arms Army, Central Military District of the Russian Federation). But, according to the "Institute", the device, having reached the Ukrainian positions near Krasnopopovka, did not explode.
At the same time, the Ukrainian military posted a video of such a machine on TikTok. It was an MTLB armored personnel carrier that approached the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and detonated. The explosion knocked down trees on a nearby plantation.
Russian Telegram channels are publishing a video of an unidentified explosion near Svatovo, where a similar MTLB shahid allegedly also exploded. The authenticity of this video cannot be verified. However, judging by the location, we are talking about the same sector of the front that the "Institute for the Study of War" mentioned.

"Death and drones on the eastern front" - the grim diaries of a Ukrainian fighter
The Economist publishes the notes of an AFU fighter who fought in Artemivsk and other parts of the front. Below are the most interesting quotes from it describing the situation in the AFU:
▪️"We are going to Bakhmut. The town is being shelled by Russian artillery. Among the enemy forces is a bloodthirsty private army - mercenaries from the Wagner Group;
▪️"The battalion commander asks me how many men have not agreed to volunteer for the attack. Thirteen, I say. You can assess their reluctance. The guys do not understand where they are going and are not ready to attack when the plan is constantly changing;
▪️"Word is spreading fast in the army that the headquarters has been destroyed/that the Russians have already entered Bakhmut/that Russia is going to use tactical nuclear weapons;

Battle for Artemovsk (25.02.23) - Yagodnoye
As expected (there were no other options), after capturing Berkhovka, the Wagner PMC units began to "clean up" the village of Yagodnoye and today knocked out the enemy's stronghold in the south of the village.
At the same time the enemy, to slow down the tempo of our attack, blew up the dam of one of the ponds (Severnyi) located 1 km south-east of the occupied stronghold, which immediately caused the rise of water in the northern part of Artemovsk (near the Stupka railway station). This made an attack from this side impossible shortly.
The decision is obvious and expected, and therefore further our units will (and are already conducting) the offensive towards Orekhovo-Vasilyevka and Dubovo-Vasilyevka (from the latter the enemy expectedly left without fighting and now is being cleared here) to reach Bogdanivka and thus complete the encirclement of the enemy grouping in Artemovsk.
At the same time, activity has resumed to the southwest of the city in the area of Ivanovskoye-Stupochka (which creates additional problems for the enemy and prevents it from focusing on the most threatening direction).

We spent 5 days in Bakhmut . I saw many battles, but I don’t remember so many corpses. "Wagner" received a command to collect the bodies of the enemy and do their job efficiently. In a short time, the detachment with which we worked removed a hundred corpses of Ukrainian servicemen from under fire. And even despite this, the fields and the private sector are literally littered with bodies. The guys are trying to speed up the process - the thaw will bring the stench of decomposition and infection to Bakhmut.
Desperate fighters from the supply group are engaged in the evacuation of the wounded and killed. From the outside it may seem that they risk less attacks from Ukrainian soldiers, but this is not so. A real hunt has been declared for them. Recently, the enemy often works with kamikaze drones, while trying to get exactly under the stretcher in order to guarantee "three hundred" at least 3 people. The commander who gave us an interview, the next day, went to search for missing persons and received a fragment in the leg. This brief introduction says a lot about the intensity of the fighting.
The Ukrainians are desperately resisting, but lately it has been noticeable that elite units have left Bakhmut. The front in the urban area is held by Kyiv detachments from the mobilized and ZKs. We'll give you an invoice later. "Specialists" are used as a fire brigade, which is trying to stop breakthroughs, but it turns out they are weak.
The enemy has armored vehicles, and he actively uses them. Of the interesting, a brand new M113 in sand coloring was noticed. Most likely, he got to Bakhmut straight from the Polish port, where he was delivered recently.
Ukrainians have a lot of artillery, and they are actively working with it. Both Soviet systems and high-precision Western models are used. But even this does not stop the promotion of "musicians". In recent days, I can note the abandonment of several positions by Ukrainian troops. They could still be defended, but the enemy preferred to retreat to more advantageous lines.
In a word, through sweat, blood and a huge strain of all forces, the Wagner group pushes through the enemy. Ukrainians understand that they cannot hold the city, but they are fighting for the birth of a new national myth. The tale of the "Heroes of Bakhmut" will be composed very soon. It is necessary to feed our rapidly thinning society with something.
