According to various sources, the Ukrainian militants of the 35th Marine Brigade AFU defending in the Maryinka direction are deliberately deceiving the commanders in order to save their lives.
They report to the brigade commanders about their losses while significantly overstating the death toll. By doing so, they are trying to convince their commanders that they have lost their combat effectiveness and need to be replaced urgently. The 35th Marine Brigade was manned mainly by mobilised people from the western regions of Ukraine. By withdrawing Westerners from the areas of fiercest fighting, such as Marinka, the Ukrainian command is plugging gaps in the defences with natives of Russian-speaking regions.
This was the case, for example, with mobilised men from Kherson. They were sent into the meat grinder to atone for surrendering the city to Russian troops at the very beginning of the operation. Apparently, it was the Marines of the 35th Brigade who replaced the Kherson men.

Part 1
Artillery, the GOD of war.
While there is a window and opportunity, let's talk about how the intelligence-art ligament has now started to work quite well.
Positions. Apart from Artemivsk and similar situations, there is now a gray zone between our positions and the enemy. It can be from a kilometer to 3. Thus it is possible to secretly move out small reconnaissance groups into these gray zones, which secretly observe the enemy's movements and activities (how and when to move out will be discussed with your comrades on the ground). Also, in each area of responsibility has artillery (let's omit the number), which is responsible for one or another section of the front. And here begins the most interesting part...

Part 2
Interaction. Earlier, we wrote articles on this subject. Here's a concrete example: artillerymen always have a representative from the surveillance (an experienced officer) who has a connection with his "eyes" in the area of responsibility. In case of a report by eyes that there is a worthy target, THIS officer decides to destroy or suppress the target that was uncovered by "eyes," thus bypassing the long knee from reconnaissance > chief reconnaissance officer > senior commander > chief of artillery > battery commander (SOB) > battery—because of this "knee," the time to make a decision stretched up to 12 hours (those who are in the subject, you know what I mean). Now it has been reduced to 10 minutes at the most, and the experience of our artillerymen in preparing a gun for firing and the expertise of our COBs and DISs in calculations has reduced the running time even further. The efficiency has increased in comparison with the beginning of the SMO by TIME. This is super.
Nuances. This is how the system works, where "initiative groups" are listened to by their superiors. And where subordinates are not afraid to go into arguments with their commanders with valid concerns (eh, Kherson brothers?). And in some places, everything remains the same.
Comrade commanders of all ranks, show SOMETHING of initiative and get movement from your superiors. You are in the trenches, not them. As a colleague of mine used to say: cognac does not flow under a lying commander. Only then will victory be ours.

Front Svatovo - Kremenna
Starashie Eddie
This is where the most difficult battles of the war are being fought by the 144th motorized rifle division. The story of the officer of the 144th motorized rifle division about today's trip to the 254th motorized rifle division.
I have already written many times about the feats of the 254th motorized rifle division and its commander, "Metis." It was "Metis" that took Dolghenkoe and led its people out of the encirclement in Terny through the combat lines of khokhlovaks. Today I was again lucky to talk to him and learn something interesting about how the situation at the front is changing in our favor.
"The Kohls are trying to pile us with corpses." Shaking his hands and frankly perplexed, "Metis" talked about the battle going on at the moment, distractedly talking on the radio and brushing plaster falling from the ceiling off the working map.
- They were being brought in columns of trucks from Yampol and taken to their positions. POWs said that it was going so far that their commanders sent soldiers to equip fortifications in the forest belts, where our troops were already sitting. We used to take them there. Those who tried to shoot - two soldiers were killed, and if they raised their hands, why would they kill them? We take care of our soldiers; we do not drive them into the attack for anything. If possible - go, no - iron with artillery until it does not appear. From the quad, for example, the Special Forces copied the dugout of the khoklya immediately to the tank coordinates. From closed firing points, they hit the exact p...ts, a deviation of 5-7 meters. Their pickups are coming up... The new ones. I wish I had one of those... They're pulling out the wounded. There were 5 of them... Our artillery is already working with a 50-meter fire transfer. In short, in the morning alone, 20 khokhils were killed. And it's like this every day; they keep bringing them in and out...
- All almost mobilized. But the funny thing is if they were all from these places before... Remember Izyum? Kharkov, Slavyansk... Now it's increasingly western Ukraine. Yesterday the scouts brought in a TRO man from Lvov. But we don't keep them here, straight to Russia. One wounded (AFU man)... It turns out they brought him in the day before yesterday. His leg was punctured, and an artery was damaged. He was sent to our hospital. Of course, the guys were angry with them, but they let him live...
- Not many mercenaries in the field here, actually. There were a few Poles; I did not see any black people. Their SDF soldiers do not fight against us. They only drop into their settlements to be photographed beautifully. Therefore we capture mainly our arms.
- Our snipers are working well. Boys in 2 weeks from "Lobayevka" killed 12 khokhlovs. Scouts in heat observe their positions at night and have already learned how to determine who is who.
"Metis" interrupted his story to receive a report from the scouts who had returned from the mission. Two young guys, drawing icons on the map, vied with each other to tell about an ammunition depot that the Ukrainian armed forces had set up at one of their positions and a tank that had attempted to drive out from the Ternov side unnoticed.
- Great. Come on, seven shells, seven shells at these coordinates... Want some coffee?
But I had to hurry. The day was coming to an end. We didn't say goodbye; we just shook hands in silence. As we were leaving, I heard him smoking one cigarette after another, praising the artillerymen in his "erka" pipe.
