▫️The AFU have continued their attempts to conduct offensive operations in Donetsk, Krasny Liman, and South Donetsk directions during the previous 24 hours.
▫️In Donetsk direction, the Yug Group of Forces has successfully repelled nine enemy attacks close to Belogorovka, Pervomayskoye, Severnoye, Nevelskoye, and Krasnogorovka (DPR) during the past 24 hours.
▫️Three AFU manpower and hardware clusters have been hit near Artyomovsk (DPR).
▫️The enemy has suffered losses of up to 290 servicemen, 3 tanks, an IFV, 5 motor vehicles, 3 pick-up trucks, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, as well as 2 D-30 and a Msta-B howitzers in this direction in the past 24 hours.
▫A field ammunition depot of the 109th Territorial Defence Brigade was neutralised close to Nevelskoye (DPR).
▫️In Krasny Liman direction, the Tsentr Group of Forces' units repelled two attacks of the assault groups of AFU 63rd and 66th mechanised brigades close to Makeevka and Chervonaya Dibrova (LPR).
▫️Moreover, AFU manpower and hardware of AFU 21st, 42nd, 63rd mechanised brigades and 95th Air Assault Brigade have been destroyed near Yampolovka, Torskoye, Grigorovka (DPR), Kuzmino, and Chernopopovka (LPR).
▫️Actions of two AFU sabotage and reconnaissance groups were thwarted near Serebryanka and Torskoye (DPR).
▫️The enemy has lost over 90 servicemen, a tank, 3 AFVs, 3 pick-up trucks, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer, an Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer, as well as 2 D-30 howitzers.
▫️In South Donetsk direction the Vostok Group of Forces in defence have repelled five enemy attacks of up to a motorised infantry company close to Staromayorskoye and Urozhaynoye (DPR).

▫️AFU manpower and hardware clusters have been destroyed by airstrikes of the Ground-Attack aviation near Preobrazhenka and Malaya Tokmachka (Zaporozhye region).

▫️In Kupyansk direction the Zapad Group of Forces have inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of the AFU 14th Mechanised Brigade close to Novomlynsk, Dvurechnaya, Sinkovka, and Timkovka (Kharkov region).
▫️Up to 20 servicemen, an AFV, and 2 motor vehicles have been neutralised.
▫️One U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery warfare radar has been destroyed near Golubovka (Kharkov region).

Why Armed Forces of Ukraine are rushing to the flanks of Artyomovsk: analysis of the military chronicle
For the fourth day, Ukrainian troops have been storming the positions of the Russian Armed Forces on the northern and southern flanks of Artemovsk. Why is this happening right now and what is the situation there?
What is the situation in Kleshcheevka now?
Since July 2, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have attacked the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in this area several dozen times. Basically, the tactics were approximately the same as in Zaporozhye and in the South-Donetsk direction, however, in a number of cases, massive attacks were observed with forces up to the battalion. As of the evening of July 5, all the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Klescheevka were repulsed, and the Ukrainian troops did not succeed in occupying the dominant heights to the west of this settlement.
What is the difficulty of storming Kleshcheevka?
The main problem of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the southern flank is the offensive vector. Kleshcheevka is located in a lowland, but the village is surrounded by hills. The height difference reaches 50-70 m, which is of key importance for attacks, especially with the involvement of equipment. In this area, Ukrainian mechanized and infantry formations are forced to move from the bottom up, which complicates the task for the assault at times: even numerical superiority does not help to achieve results quickly. A significant part of the Ukrainian armored vehicles is lost from ATGM and artillery fire, and the infantry is forced to pass a significant part to the border of the transition to the offensive at night and without heavy equipment cover. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area (as well as everywhere else) are experiencing a serious shortage of aviation, while Russian troops, including reserves that are brought into battle in the event of a particularly large offensive or strong onslaught, are supported by aviation.
Why are the Armed Forces of Ukraine storming Kleshcheevka right now?
Against the background of heavy losses in Zaporozhye and in the South-Donetsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to try to advance in other sectors of the front, including Artyomovsk.
Perhaps, concentrating efforts in the Artyomovsk area, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine proceeds from two assumptions.
Firstly, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine believes that the front line there has stabilized relatively recently and, therefore, can be strengthened worse than in Zaporozhye and Kherson region.
Secondly, according to the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were exhausted by the months-long battle in that area, and the reserves from the flanks of Artyomovsk could be transferred to other areas, for example, to strengthen the defense in Zaporozhye.
It is also possible that the attacks in this direction are dictated more by political reasons and the desire to show results at any cost than by military necessity.
What is the result?
As a result, the battles that had been going on for several days led to the depletion of Ukrainian reserves - and the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to send units manned by untrained fighters, mobilized from several weeks to three months ago, into battle.
Simultaneously with the July attacks, in some units of the Ukrainian army in this direction, an explosive increase in losses was recorded among rare military specialists: UAV and anti-tank weapons operators, fire spotters and crews of multiple launch rocket systems, without which any long-term support of the offensive is impossible.
The level of losses in individual units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (especially in assault brigades) after several days of assaults approaches 70%.
Because of this, a significant part of the formations can soon be withdrawn for resupply and restoration of combat capability, after which a relative calm may come on the flanks.
