Judging by the intercepts on the Zaporozhye front, the enemy personnel are demoralized. The main demotivating factors are:
▪️The inability of the AFU to achieve meaningful successes in a month of a previously widely-advertised counteroffensive.
▪️The significant losses of personnel and equipment.
▪️The changes in combat tactics by the AFU command. NATO equipment is now being spared.
▪️Steadfast and skilful defence of the Russian units, despite the heavy fighting.
▪️The rising discontent of the AFU personnel, that as a result of high losses the command transfers people from tank and rear units to frontline infantry assault troops. [GB: To add, there are reports even of military aerodrome security forces being sent to the front. If things go this way, not every Ukrainian fighter pilot is destined to see the promised F-16s.]
▪️Unjustified mass discharge of "lightly wounded" servicemen from military hospitals [to be sent to the front line]. At the same time, hospitals are overcrowded with Ukrainian servicemen suffering minor gunshot wounds, which may be a sign of widespread "self-inflicted injuries.”
Adding a further dimension to the picture is the endemic alcoholism in the ranks of the AFU.

▪️On the night of July 5, the AFU launched HIMARS strikes on the Chervonohvardiis'kyi district of Makiivka.

▪️In the Svatove sector, active combat operations continue in Novoselivs'ke.
As a result of the fighting, the Russian forces took control of the depot and the industrial zone near the railroad, located on the dominant heights.
▪️In the Soledar direction, the enemy continues to attack near Rozdolivka.
The AFU operate in small groups without armor cover, which leads to serious losses in manpower.
▪️On the flanks of the Bakhmut sector, heavy fighting continues near Berkhivka and Klishchiivka.
Despite the difficult situation and the numerical superiority of the AFU, Russian units are holding their defensive lines.
▪️In the Vremivka sector, the AFU continue to try to attack in the direction of Staromaiors'ke and Urozhaine.
Acting in small groups, the enemy is most likely trying to probe Russian defenses in preparation for a large-scale offensive.
▪️It is relatively calm in the Zaporizhzhia direction: combat operations are mostly positional.
Nevertheless, the enemy is actively redeploying forces. Troops and armored vehicles are moving to the front line from various areas.
▪️The situation near the Antonovsky Bridge remains tense, with Russian forces still failing to establish control over the area.
Despite periodic strikes by Russian aviation, the AFU continue to redeploy forces to the other side of the Dnipro River.

Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation (6 July 2023)
▫️The Russian Federation Armed Forces launched a concentrated strike with long-range sea-based high precision weapons against temporary deployment sites of AFU personnel and foreign mercenaries, as well as storage sites for foreign-manufactured armoured vehicles.
All the assigned targets have been neutralised. The goal of the attack has been reached. The enemy strategic reserves have sustained significant damage.
The AFU continued to attempt offensive actions in Donetsk, Krasny Liman and Kupyansk directions.
▫️In Donetsk direction, as a result of actions by the defending units of the Yug Group of Forces, 9 enemy attacks have been successfully repelled close to Pervomayskoye, Vodyanoye, Opytnoye, Krasnogorovka, Severnoye DPR and Zolotaryovka LPR.
Enemy manpower and hardware concentration areas have been hit to the west of Kleshcheyevka DPR.
The enemy losses were up to 385 servicemen, 1 tank, 3 AFV, 8 motor vehicles, 2 D-20 howitzers and 2 Polish-manufactured Krab self-propelled artillery systems.
▫️In Krasny Liman direstion, as a result of actions by the units of the Tsentr Group of Forces, 4 enemy attacks have been repelled close to Yampolovka, Torskoye DPR and Kovalyovka LPR.
AFU manpower and hardware concentration areas have been hit near Yampolovka, Torskoye DPR, Novoyegorovka and Chervonaya Dibrova LPR.
The actions of 2 Ukrainian SRG have been suppressed close to Nevskoye and Belogorovka LPR. The enemy losses were over 90 servicemen killed and wounded, 3 AFVs and 4 pickup trucks.
▫️In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, as a result of actions by the defence units of the Vostok Group of Forces, enemy manpower and hardware concentration areas have been hit close to Rovnopol, Makarovka, Novodonetskoye and Urozhaynoye DPR.
Also, the activities of 2 Ukrainian SRG have been suppressed near Urozhaynoye DPR and Dorozhnyanka (Zaporozhye region).
The enemy losses were up to 165 servicemen, 3 AFV, including 1 U.S.-manufactured Stryker armoured personnel carrier, 3 motor vehicles, 1 Grad MLRS vehicle, 1 French-manufactured Cezar self-propelled howitzer, and 1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.
▫️In Kupyansk direction, by the actions of the units of the Zapad Group of Forces, an attack by the AFU has been repelled close to Novosyolovskoye LPR.
Also, the enemy units have been defeated close to Novomlynsk, Petropavlovsk, Timkovka, Berestovoye (Kharkov region) and Stelmakhovka LPR.
1 Ukrainian SRG has been neutralised close to Novosyolovskoye LPR.The enemy losses were up to 40 servicemen, 2 AFVs, 2 pickup trucks, as well as 1 U.S.-manufactured M777 artillery system.
▫️In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 130 servicemen, 8 motor vehicles, as well as 1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer.
▫️Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 86 artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 119 areas.
▫️3 control points of the 118th Territorial Defence Brigade, the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade of the AFU and the 4th Brigade of the National Guard have been hit close to Stupochki, Vyemka and Zvanovka DPR.
▫️Air defence facilities have shot down 2 Su-25 aircraft of Ukrainian Air Force near Novoandreevka and Georgievka DPR. 4 Storm Shadow cruise missiles have been intercepted, as well as 4 HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system projectiles. 15 Ukrainian UAVs have been destroyed near Kremennaya, Privolye LPR, Aleksandrovka, Vesyoloye, Rovnopol, Orlinskoye, Volodino DPR, Dneprorudnoye, Chistopolye (Zaporozhye region) and Konstantinovka (Kherson region).
