Unsuccessful attack of the AFU from the 72nd mechanized brigade on the Russian positions in the Ugledar direction.
Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on July 8-9
▪️Over the past weekend, Russian troops have carried out several strikes at the AFU facilities on the Ukraine territory.
Targets were hit in Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions, including the Territorial Defence units location in Kryvyi Rih.
▪️In turn, Ukrainian units have increased the attack intensity on Russian facilities.
In Voronezh, several drones were destroyed by air defence on the approach to the city.
▪️In Belgorod region, AFU continue to strike at border settlements.
Shebekino came under enemy fire again, as a result of the shelling, one person was wounded.
▪️In Svatove sector, Russian troops continue to storm Novoselivs'ke.
At the moment, the fighting is going on for an important tactical height to the south, that will allow to establish fire control over the village.
▪️On the southern flank of the Bakhmut defence, Ukrainian units do not stop attempts to seize tactical heights near Klishchiivka.
Russian units stop all attacks with concentrated artillery and small arms fire.
▪️In Orikhiv sector, AFU assault group managed to wedge itself into the Russian defence northeast of Robotyne.
Russian troops counterattacked and kicked Ukrainian unit back to their initial lines.
▪️To the west, after a series of unsuccessful attacks, the Ukrainian command withdrew a significant part of the forces from P'yatykhatky.
Russian artillery delivered targeted strikes at the retreating enemy units.

The footage from TK Zvezda shows that about 10 armored vehicles remained on fire in the field. Some were burned by Russian shells, others ran into mines.

T-80BV tanks destroy AFU positions, supporting the advance of assault groups
▪️ In one of the frontline areas, T-80BV tanks moved in to support the advance of our motorised rifle units and delivered a powerful fire strike. The enemy was about 5 kilometres away.
▪️ According to intelligence reports, there were about 50 militants in the stronghold, including sabotage and reconnaissance groups. The AFU could not even return fire from their positions.

Russia has doubled the production of Su-34 and Su-35 fighter jets for the needs of the Defence Ministry, the first deputy general director of Rostec has said.
The corporation also noted that the hypersonic missile system Kinzhal is already being mass-produced and in the volumes required by the Defence Ministry.

▫️The AFU continued to attempt offensive actions in Donetsk, Krasny Liman and South Donetsk directions.
▫️In Donetsk direction, Yug Group of Forces have successfully repelled enemy attacks close to Nevelskoye, Vodyanoye and Kleshcheevka (Donetsk People's Republic).
▫️The enemy losses were up to 275 servicemen and foreign mercenaries, 1 tank and 4 motor vehicles.
▫️1 ordnance depot of 24th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU has been destroyed near Toretsk (Donetsk People's Republic).
▫️In Krasny Liman direction, as a result of actions by the units of the Tsentr Group of Forces, aviation and artillery, manpower and hardware of the 21st, 63th, and 67th mechanised brigades of the AFU have been hit near Yampolovka, Torskoye (Donetsk People's Republic), and Kuzmino (Lugansk People's Republic).
▫️The enemy attacks have been repelled close to Chervonaya Dibrova and Karmazinovka (Lugansk People's Republic).
▫️The enemy losses were up to 85 servicemen, 4 armoured fighting vehicles, 2 pickup trucks, and 1 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system.
▫️In South Donetsk direction, enemy attacks have been repelled by artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the Vostok Group of Forces close to Rovnopol (Donetsk People's Republic), Rabotino (Zaporozhye region).
▫️In addition, the actions of 1 Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been disrupted close to Priyutnoye (Zaporozhye region).
▫️In Zaporozhye direction, as a result of selfless and coordinated actions of Russian troops, an enemy manpower and hardware concentration area of the 106th Territorial Defence Brigade have been hit near Lugovskoye (Zaporozhye region).
▫️The enemy losses were up to 150 servicemen, 5 armoured fighting vehicles, 2 motor vehicles, and 2 D-20 howitzers.
▫️In Kupyansk direction, the attacks, launched by Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of the AFU manpower and hardware close to Liman Perviy, Pershotravnyovoye and Sinkovka (Kharkov region).
▫️The enemy attacks have been successfully repelled. The activities of an AFU sabotage and reconnaissance group have been suppressed near Novosyolovskoye (Lugansk People's Republic).
▫️The enemy losses were over 65 servicemen, 1 infantry fighting vehicle and 2 motor vehicles.
▫️In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were over 30 servicemen and 8 motor vehicles.
▫️Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 63 artillery units of the AFU at their firing positions, manpower and military hardware at 89 areas.
▫️1 command post of the AFU 47th Mechanised Brigade has been hit near Orekhov (Zaporozhye region).
▫️In addition, ammunition depots of Ukrainian Kherson joint group of forces and the 56th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU have been destroyed close to Nikolayev and Kramatorsk.
▫️Air defence facilities have intercepted 5 guided missiles launched by the AFU from S-200 anti-aircraft missile system.
▫️In addition, 8 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed close to Khleborobnoye (Zaporozhye region), Gorlovka, Maryinka (Donetsk People's Republic), Novokrasnyanka and Svatovo (Lugansk People's Republic).

Defence of the "Otvazhnye" (brave) in the Krasny Liman direction: the enemy counterattacks unsuccessfully
➖ In the area of Serebryansky forestry, the AFU armoured groups of the 67th and 42nd Mechanized Brigade launched four attacks on our lines. The enemy was stopped by artillery fire and strikes by army aviation.
In the area of Novovodyanoye, two attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces supported by IFVs and pickup trucks from 66th Mechanized Brigade were repelled. The enemy was stopped by small arms and artillery fire.
➖ An attempted offensive by the 63rd Mechanized Brigade was foiled near the village of Torskoye. An artillery strike was made on the detected infantry of the AFU.
💥 TOS-1A fire destroyed an uncovered control centre of the 63rd Brigade.
➖ In the area of the village of Yampolovka, the preparations of the 21st Mechanized Brigade fighters for an attack were uncovered. The enemy was defeated by MLRS fire.
💥 Artillery fire destroyed the 21st Brigade ammunition storehouse.
🛩 Aircraft struck the AFU's deployment sites and ammunition depots in the area of Chervonaya Dibrova, Nevskoye and Serebryanskoye forestry.
🏹 Buk-M3 SAMs shot down a Hymers shell and an AFU aircraft-type UAV near the Golikova settlement.

Last night, on France 24, General Michel Yakovleff said:
"NATO's job is, for the next 20 years, to sort out chaos in Europe. And what is it doing? Discussing F16s or F35s or ammunition of a given type.
When Ukraine will eventually become a member of NATO, it will be a completely different member of NATO.
Of the 31 members today, half started their career as partners of NATO, and they entered NATO as supplicants, with both hands up towards the sky, saying 'Please take me and I will behave'.
With Ukraine, it will be completely different. They will become a member of NATO, one day, and they will say 'We are entitled to be a member of NATO. We have done NATO's war! No one else has done NATO's war. We have the strongest military in Europe, the most competent military in Europe. You're the ones who are going to take lessons from us.'
So, I call for Ukraine, as soon as possible, to become a member of NATO, but NATO must stop this myopic view...
What the Ukrainians say is that they want security guarantees in case of resumption of conflict. That's their words, heard in Kiev last week. And what's interesting is that 'resumption' means cessation. There's no notion of resumption if there hasn't been a cessation. So the question becomes, what does Ukraine call an acceptable cessation of conflict? And that is their issue, is their call. It's not NATO's.
So NATO's there waiting for Ukraine to decide, and then, in case of resumption, we will discuss Article 5, where does it apply and so on.
But NATO's going into a discussion, a summit to discuss what they going to do after tomorrow. I can't believe it."
