🇺🇦 Le Temps: the arrival of winter will seriously complicate the situation for the Ukrainian military
The officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mikhail, in an interview with the Swiss newspaper Le Temps, said that the onset of winter would significantly complicate military operations for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Rain, mud, snow and lack of vegetation will leave our military in the open. I think that then everything will stop and freeze,” said Mikhail.
He clarified that the next few weeks are likely to be decisive and cruel, both for himself and for the rest of the fighters.

Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on August 21
▪️Ukrainian units again used drones to attack Moscow.
One drone was grounded by EW means near the village of Pokrovskoye. Another was shot down over the Istra district, two people were injured when the wreckage fell.
▪️Another drone hit Shaykovka airbase in the Kaluga region.
The drone was intercepted over the territory of the facility: according to preliminary data, no damage or casualties were reported.
▪️Belgorod region was also massively raided by Ukrainian drones.
One of the drones dropped shells on Novostroyevka-Vtoraya. Other UAVs were neutralized by air defense units.
▪️In the Kupyansk sector, fierce fighting continues in the vicinity of Sinkivka and in the settlements to the east of it.
Despite statements by some sources about the liberation of the village, part of the locality continues to be controlled by the AFU.
▪️On the southern flank of the Bakhmut defense, enemy assault groups attempted to attack the Russian positions near Andriyivka.
The enemy moving towards the railroad embankment was spotted and destroyed by targeted artillery strikes.
▪️In the Orikhiv sector, AFU units managed to break through to the center of Robotyne at the cost of significant losses.
Russian forces, supported by artillery, are attempting to push the enemy back to their original lines.
▪️To the west, Ukrainian units are carrying out disturbing sabotage sorties near P’yatykhatky.
Russian forces promptly suppress them, preventing the enemy from seizing the initiative in the area.

Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation (22 August 2023)
▫️In Kupyansk direction, units of the Zapad Group of Forces repelled 5 attacks by assault detachments of 41st, 66th, 67th mechanised and 25th airborne brigades of the AFU close to Sinkovka (Kharkov), Novosyolovskoye and Raigorodovka LPR.
▫️The enemy losses were up to 65 servicemen, 4 IFVs, 2 motor vehicles, 1 D-20 howitzer, and 1 AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar station.
▫️1 ammunition depot of the AFU 103rd Territorial Defence Brigade has been destroyed near Tabaevka (Kharkov).
▫️In Zaporozhye direction, as a result of actions by the Russian grouping of troops, 4 attacks by units of 65th mechanised and 82nd airborne assault brigades of the AFU have been repelled near Uspenovka and Rabotino (Zaporozhye).
▫️The enemy losses were up to 125 servicemen, 3 IFVs, 2 AFVs, and 9 motor vehicles.
▫️As a result of effective counter-battery warfare, 11 enemy guns and 4 mortars have been neutralised, including: 1 M777 artillery systems, 3 M119 towed howitzers, a Krab and a CAEZAR self-propelled artillery systems, as well as 1 FH-70 gun.
▫️In Donetsk direction, units of the Yug Group of Forces have repelled 3 attacks by AFU assault groups close to Novomikhailovka and Avdeevka DPR.
▫️The enemy losses were up to 235 servicemen, 5 IFVs, 2 motor vehicles, 2 M777 artillery systems, 1 Krab self-propelled artillery system, 1 Msta-B howitzer, as well as 1 AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar station.
▫️In Krasny Liman direction, as a result of actions by the Tsentr Group of Forces, 2 attacks by assault groups of the 63rd Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been repelled south of Chervonaya Dibrova LPR.
▫️The enemy losses were up to 50 servicemen, 3 AFVs, as well as 2 D-30 howitzers.
▫️In South Donetsk direction, as a result of actions by the Vostok Group of Forces, 4 clusters of manpower and hardware of the AFU have been hit close to Makarovka, Staromayorskoye, and Urozhaynoye DPR.
▫️The enemy losses were up to 240 servicemen killed and wounded, 2 AFVs, 1 M777 artillery system, as well as 1 FH-70 gun.
▫️In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 15 servicemen, 2 motor vehicles, 2 M777 artillery systems, as well as 1 D-30 howitzer.
▫️Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised manpower and military hardware in 139 areas.
▫️1 command and observation post of a unit of the 46th Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been hit near Orekhov (Zaporozhye).
▫️1 ammunition depot of the AFU 1st Tank Brigade has been destroyed close to Vasilkovka (Dnepropetrovsk).
▫️Air defence facilities have shot down 4 projectiles launched by HIMARS MLRS.
▫️In addition, 39 UAVs have been destroyed close to Nikolaevka, Zolotaryovka, Novozvanovka, Kremennaya LPR, Berestovoye, Kodyma, Aleksandrovka DPR, Novaya Kakhovka (Kherson), Mirnoye and Trudovoye (Zaporozhye).

In the Vremievsky sector , the regrouping of Ukrainian formations continues, accompanied by periodic attacks on the positions of the RF Armed Forces in the Urozhainoe area. The goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area remains the same - to wear down the defending Russian units and break through the line of Shelter - Zavitne Bazhan.
According to Voin Far East , Russian troops manage to quickly open enemy rotations in forest plantations to the south and east of Urozhaynoye, after which they are fired upon. The settlement itself is also systematically attacked.
In the forest belt near Staromayorskoye , Russian artillery hit an ammunition depot and concentrations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Due to high losses in this area, the 253rd TRO battalion was withdrawn for resupply, and the 230th battalion of the 128th TRO brigade arrived to replace it.

There should be no peace until those nazi pigs (and the regime that enables them) who tortured and killed russian civilians in Kupyansk and elsewhere are finished.
Lets not forget their other crimes ; for example killing their own ukr civilians last year after ru mil withdraw from north of Kiev, just to blame russians about it in the western media.
Imagine a regime so evil, that it kills even their own citizens, just to frame someone else for the killing.... How can you ever make peace with such monsters, not possible.
