Politico:
A group of Ukrainian soldiers have completed a training program on U.S. M1 Abrams tanks, a lethal new weapon officials hope can help Kyiv break through Russia’s entrenched defenses.
Around 200 Ukrainians have practiced on trainer tanks at U.S. Army training areas in Germany, said spokesperson Col. Martin O’Donnell. The soldiers recently completed one of the last phases of the program, a combined arms, battalion force-on-force exercise at Hohenfels Training Area.
Ukraine is slated to receive the first ten of 31 promised Abrams tanks in mid-September, according to a Defense Department official and another person familiar with the discussions, who like others interviewed for this story was granted anonymity to discuss sensitive plans. Western officials hope the arrival of the tanks will give Kyiv’s forces the edge they need to push through Russia’s fierce defenses in their grueling counteroffensive.
Ten of the 70-ton tanks are currently in Germany undergoing final refurbishments, said the DOD official. Once that is complete, they will be shipped to Ukraine.
“The U.S. is committed to expedite delivery of the 31 tanks to Ukraine by the fall,” said O’Donnell. He declined to provide a specific timeline.

"We didn't get there": Ukrainian militants are filming mountains of destroyed APU equipment
🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 The enemy increased the intensity of artillery strikes on our positions near the Vremevsky salient
Soldiers of the Vostok battalion report on the situation in the area of the Vremevsky ledge at the junction of Zaporozhye and the DPR.
"Good morning. The shelling did not stop even at night, with dawn the intensity increased. Yesterday we could not find where they were hitting for a long time. We found self-propelled guns on our own, but the distances were prohibitive for almost everything that we and our neighbors had. We had to use BM- 21, in the hope that we would at least be scared. Only the eres at the limit were able to reach out, damaging one of the self-propelled guns - it remained standing when the others retreated. Many fighters know - this, of course, is an uncomfortable feeling when they cut you into one gate, and you "I can't even answer with anything. It's a pity that our OBTF, to which we were assigned, no longer has the resources to support us, but thanks to the army team - sometimes they help out with personal relationships. Have a good day, everyone."

National Endowment for Democracy
In the 2016 election, Americans were outraged to hear that Russia was meddling in our democratic institutions. Anyone who has been around for awhile probably already realizes that superpowers meddle in others elections regularly. This post is just a glimpse into one of the ways the US meddles in Ukraine elections.
We’ll be adding videos from The Duran, and others that post late, once they are posted. Check back right here in a few hours.
