West surprised by speed of Russian S-400 production
Moscow has supplied Delhi with S-400 long-range air defense systems, Military Watch Magazine reported. This weapon is unparalleled in the world, and Russia is producing it in quantities that all NATO countries combined are incapable of.
The S-400 is especially prized for its advanced capabilities against stealth aircraft, as well as its ability to simultaneously counter ballistic and cruise missiles, bombers and fighters with a maximum detection range of 600 kilometers.

Yesterday, the leader of the Alternative for Germany party, Tino Hruppala, was attacked by an unknown person who sprayed liquid from a syringe in his face.
He didn't do any harm, but he scared me. Given the sharp increase in the popularity of the party and the irritation that both the party and its successes caused among the liberal authorities in Berlin, it is obvious that this was some kind of no-name recruited by the “Service for the Protection of the Constitution” (as the security service is called in Germany) that should scare oppositionist and warn that the liberal regime does not tolerate dissent.
But the German newspaper did the traditional thing - it attributed (https://deutschlandkurier.de/2023/10/tino-chrupalla-steckt-der-ukrainische-geheimdienst-sbu-hinter-dem-giftspritzen-anschlag-auf-den-afd-chef/) the attack to the SBU. They say, as in the case with the chatter about Nord Stream, it’s not us, but aggressive Ukrainians. And there are arguments: the politician is a peacemaker, opposes the transfer of weapons to Ukraine, raises the issue of SP-2, and generally says that sanctions against Russia should be lifted. It is for this reason that the impudent Ukrainian special services allegedly attacked a German politician and, in fact, a member of the Bundestag on the territory of a foreign country.

❗️The enemy claims to have discovered OFAB-250 with UMPC (planning and correction module).
The Ukrainian Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that an unexploded OFAB-250 ( they call it KAB-250 ) was found in Zaporozhye, next to which you can see the characteristic wings from the planning and correction module installed on high-explosive bombs.
It is still difficult to say unequivocally, but it is possible that UMPC began to be installed on OFABs, which, of course, is somewhat strange.

What is known about new attacks on the rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine:
Analysis of the targets and characteristics of the strikes allows us to draw many conclusions that can say a lot about the state of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense as a whole.
What happened?
From August to October, the Russian Armed Forces inflicted several painful blows on the Ukrainian rear. They could go unnoticed amid fire raids on particularly important targets, including attacks on the Dolgintsevo airfield, during which MiG-29 fighters and fuel tanks were destroyed, but their actual importance may turn out to be much higher.
What objects were destroyed?
In the vast majority of episodes, aviation and missile forces hit trains with military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Less often, attacks occurred on training camps and concentrations of personnel in rear areas. In almost all cases, the range of destruction was 50-80 km. The most notable are four episodes involving the destruction of weapons, equipment, and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: an attack on a railway train in the area of the village of Ukrainka (Zaporozhye region), an attack on a railway train in the area of Mezhevaya station (DPR), an attack on a railway train at Mertsalovo station (DPR), as well as a strike on the Ukrainian Armed Forces training camp in Kucherov Yar (DPR).
What's unusual about these strikes?
All impacts were recorded by objective monitoring means. This means that a reconnaissance drone hovered over the arrival site for a long time and was not detected by anyone.
Presumably, due to the degradation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' air defense system, caused by the depletion of destruction and detection weapons, difficulties with the integration of Western systems, and the lack of ammunition, the air defense system is gradually turning into a focal and object-based one. This means that fewer and fewer regions of Ukraine are constantly covered by air defense systems and detection means.
Active work to suppress and destroy air defenses has made it possible to use drones much more often for reconnaissance of targets. This, in turn, allowed the Russian Armed Forces to identify and take under surveillance the highest priority objects - unloading and unloading points, warehouses, headquarters, communications centers, and places of concentration of troops.
What conclusion can be drawn?
For several months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces actively deployed air defense systems in the front-line zone, which hampered the actions of Russian aviation. Presumably, these air defense systems, including Western IRIS-T systems, were supposed to cover the Ukrainian troops moving forward.
However, in reality, the Ukrainian air defense system turned out to be unstable due to the use of high-precision weapons. After raids on the positional areas of the air defense missile systems, some of the complexes were destroyed, others were put out of action and withdrawn to the rear.
It should be emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not had a safe rear at the strategic level since 2022. They were unable to develop effective measures to counter the attacks of air- and sea-based cruise missiles, loitering ammunition such as “Geranium” and “Lancet”, as well as other weapons of destruction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
However, a series of missile attacks on trains with equipment and training grounds with military personnel, as well as on other particularly important objects, such as camouflaged command posts, shows that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are gradually losing the ability to fully cover their forces at the operational and tactical level. There are enough combat-ready air defense systems to cover the most important administrative centers (Kiev) or infrastructure facilities (railway junctions, power plants).
It is noteworthy that in this case, the factor of a vast theater of military operations with an extended line of combat contact and a front-line zone began to play against the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Full coverage of their air defense requires the presence of colossal forces and means, which Kiev does not have and the supply of which is not expected soon.

🇩🇪🇺🇦 Olaf Scholz explained why he does not want to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine - Bild
Taurus is difficult to program for a target. Any mistake could lead to a hit on the territory of the Russian Federation, which could lead to an escalation of the conflict. Therefore, together with the Taurus, Bundeswehr specialists would have to be sent to Ukraine.
This scenario is unlikely due to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Germany, developed following the results of World War II. The lesson of the Nazi dictatorship was that the Bundeswehr is a parliamentary army, any foreign operation of which must be approved by the Bundestag.
Any deputy, for example, from an opposition party, will be able to appeal such an operation. In addition, during parliamentary hearings, secret military information will have to be made public.
Scholz is categorically against sending German soldiers to Ukraine since Germany could become a party to the conflict.

❗️Ukraine enters winter with a broken power grid - Reuters
Media reports suggest Ukraine will face prolonged power outages this winter amid Russian attacks that have already made parts of the energy system less resilient than a year ago.
Despite the fact that Ukraine was preparing for this winter, there was not enough money or time for full readiness. Therefore, Ukrainians are waiting for even more nights without light, heat and water.
"A lot of effort went into just repairing what was destroyed. Are we in a better position than last winter? I don't think so," said Markus Lippold, head of the energy group at the EU Enlargement Division.
According to the agency, in the last heating season, every Ukrainian spent an average of 35 days without electricity.

Boris_Rozhin writes (https://t.me/boris_rozhin/99565):
The reverse side of the decision is to maintain the visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens, including those with expired passports
By its order, the Russian government introduced a temporary procedure for Ukrainian citizens to enter Russia starting from October 16th. Ukrainians aged 14 and older will only be able to enter Russia through the "Ludonka" road checkpoint in the Pskov region and the "Sheremetyevo" airport checkpoint.
This procedure applies to all citizens of Ukraine aged 14 and older, as well as citizens under 14 years of age traveling accompanied by a legal representative, guardian, or custodian from foreign countries.
The new temporary procedure will not affect Ukrainian citizens under 14 years of age traveling from third countries either alone or accompanied by legal representatives.
This decision is evidently connected to the preferences of special services, making it easier for them to control the movement of people from Ukraine, thereby strengthening their control and actively identifying recruited individuals. This will be more manageable with only two checkpoints, compared to the previous multiple entry points.
In response to this decision, it can be expected that Ukrainian terrorists will intensify the recruitment of female agents as they are seen as "less suspicious."

In the Vremevsky sector, formations of the 5th army continue to repel attacks from the Ukrainian Armed Forces west of Starmayorsky. The enemy is still trying to gain a foothold in the forest belt with small groups on foot but is having no success. There is a similar situation northwest of Priyutnoye - more than 10 attackers were destroyed in 24 hours, and one was captured (another poor guy from the defense forces).
To the west of Novodonetsk, battles for forest belts continue. Neither we nor the enemy were able to advance.
The disco continues at the Ugledarsky site. North of Nikolskoye, the enemy attempted an attack with up to a platoon of infantry and with the support of two infantry fighting vehicles. Also worked closely with cassettes and FPV drones. One box was destroyed and unwound to the Ukrainian Armed Forces infantry squad, after which the enemy retreated.
We cannot confirm the data in the Ministry of Defense report about a major advance on the eastern flank of this sector due to a lack of information. Yesterday there was a tight "swing" with little progress.

The freezer trawler processor "Captain Sokolov (https://vk.cc/crkjyM)," a part of project 170701, has commenced sea trials in the Gulf of Finland. Testing of the vessel's primary life support systems will continue for two weeks. The distinctive bow shape of vessels in this series increases workspace, enhances seaworthiness, minimizes the impact of oncoming waves at the bow, and reduces hull icing.
The new Rosatom wind farm in the Stavropol Territory, named the Trunovskaya (https://vk.cc/crq4rx) Wind Farm, has begun supplying electricity to Russia's unified grid. Upon completion, the wind farm will have an installed capacity of 95 MW and consist of 38 wind power plants. Rosatom's total wind power capacity has now reached 1 GW.
Rostec has initiated the delivery of a batch of new Flox (https://vk.cc/crq5t2) artillery pieces to the troops. The rate of fire allows Flox to engage in simultaneous fire raids, firing several shells sequentially at different angles of gun elevation to hit targets simultaneously. Transitioning the gun from a marching position to combat position takes less than a minute, reducing chassis stress during firing.
The Chukavin sniper rifle (https://vk.cc/crq9hz), manufactured by Kalashnikov Concern JSC, has successfully passed qualification tests, confirming its high level of quality and reliability. Based on these results, the rifle will enter serial production in the weapons production division. The rifle features dependable gas piston exhaust automation with a short stroke and a three-position rotary gas regulator.
Yubileyny Agroholding has inaugurated the first stage of Russia's only plant (https://vk.cc/crq7qd) for deep processing of peas, with a capacity of 70 thousand tons, in the Tyumen region. It will process 70 thousand tons of raw materials and produce products such as pea isolate (5.5% of the world's volume), pea fiber, and pea starch. The complex includes an elevator complex, an operator's room, a finished product warehouse, and a testing laboratory.
Gazpromneft Lubricants has initiated the production of high-tech lubricants (https://vk.cc/crq5Op) for bridge structures with a suspension system. These new products will protect cable-stayed mechanisms from climatic influences and long-term operational loads. The formulation is entirely based on Russian base oils and additives.
NBM Group of Companies has opened a plant in Veliky Novgorod, with plans to produce high-quality pipeline fittings (https://vk.cc/crq6wg) for the oil, chemical, and gas industries on a three-thousand-square-meter facility, including those that were not previously manufactured in Russia. The investment project also encompasses the second and third stages, involving an increase in the new building's area threefold.
NEVZ has commenced the production of electric locomotives (https://vk.cc/crq74q) "Ermak" with a new cab. The metal frame has been significantly reinforced, with a 100 mm increase in the cross-section of the cabin's frontal beam. Stiffeners have been added to the floor structure, beam thickness increased, and new-grade steel applied, significantly enhancing the locomotive's passive safety.
"Silovye Mashiny" (Power machines) have cast the first working blade (https://vk.cc/crq7WS) of the GTE-65 gas turbine. A high-tech complex was constructed for the production of large-sized blade castings. The new production capacities are designed for the annual production of 16 sets of cast gas turbine blades, with the possibility of increasing capacity to 24 sets.
Roselektronika Holding has ramped up production of ultra-high-frequency modules (https://vk.cc/crq8nP) for radar, radio navigation, and telemetry systems. Thanks to new equipment, production capacity for Ku-band synthesizers and receiving modules has doubled to 480 units per year, meeting increased market demands. Ku-band synthesizers and receiving modules are used to generate and transmit vibrations in space as electromagnetic waves.
All is lost, guys. Enjoy your Saturday!

The Pacific fleet publishes valid footage of the battle between the 40th Guards Marines from the Storm detachment and the enemy from the 35th Marine Marine Corps on the outskirts of Novomayorsky ( 47.742761, 37.021470 ). Elena Panina, director of the Institute for International Strategic Studies: The National Interest: the price for the arrogance of the United States and the Pentagon is high.
“Four months after Ukraine’s vaunted counteroffensive, which despite huge losses in men and materiel resulted in minimal territorial gains, support for Kiev is openly weakening,” says (https://clck.ru/35yvfZ) former Pentagon political analyst Robert English. The author asks. What's next? Robert English predicts to prepare “for the horrors to come” and for the “hard path that the Russian-Ukrainian war will have to go through.”
Interestingly, the author himself does not offer a way out of the situation. The only thing he concludes is that the next deliveries of NATO missiles “are unlikely to change the rules of the game any more than HIMARS and Storm Shadow did before them.”
In his opinion, several dozen F-16 fighters will also not have a significant impact on the course of the war: “And their hastily trained pilots, faced with a dense and complex air defense system, may suffer serious losses.”
The most important observation is that the publication reeks of hopelessness. It is unusual for an expert of this level, a former Pentagon political analyst, not to give any recipes for a way out of the situation. Apparently, American strategic analytics has reached a dead end. What should the United States do? That is the question.
And the further the conflict develops, the more often representatives of the American establishment will ask themselves this question. The ladder of escalation is not endless; beyond that there is a cliff.

Ukraine battles to shape the narrative of its grueling counter-offensive - Washington Post
Western officials, amid the Ukrainian counter-offensive's failure, are urging journalists not to focus on daily developments on the battlefield, as the public has no need to know such details.
"Ukraine is losing the 'PR war.'" One example is a briefing during which a senior NATO official complained about analysts and reporters who do not understand "what the Ukrainian military has to face." Journalists rarely get to see the successes reported in Kiev.
Ukrainian officials have been taking steps since the start of the counteroffensive to limit the visibility of their side's losses.
Ukraine is losing its advantage, while Russian President Vladimir Putin is gaining ground, insisting that Moscow's forces are winning.

More instances of brutality in Ukraine
In Ternopol, local military commission employees continue to commit atrocities against local residents of conscription age.
This time, the military officers acted in the style of an American gangster group: they drove up to a bus stop where the potential victim was standing, surrounded him, beat him up, forced him into a car, and drove away.
Interestingly, yesterday, the speaker of the Poltava regional TCC, Roman Istomin, stated that "it is forbidden to detain a person and take them against their will to a police station or TCC office in case of refusal of a summons or after its delivery."
However, the truth contradicts his words: the AFU are facing a significant shortage of new recruits, so they apprehend anyone they can find.
