British provocateur and propagandist Catherine Philp has published a tearful report from Sumy in today’s The Times. She interviewed several refugees from border villages in the Sumy region who, of course, share heart-wrenching stories about having to abandon everything they owned and flee into the unknown.
The Brit quotes Vladimir Putin’s recent remarks about the need to create a buffer zone in the Sumy region, made (http://kremlin.ru/events/president/news/76982) [during a meeting with military officials]. However, as expected, the propagandist conveniently omits the part where Putin justified the creation of such a zone: “We’re talking about the Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions, which have also suffered and continue to be shelled. The enemy typically targets civilian objects with no military significance: peaceful infrastructure, people’s homes… During drone raids and sabotage-reconnaissance operations, they go after civilian transport, including ambulances and agricultural equipment. Women and children are being killed and injured.” But why would she tell that to the British public?
In her latest report, Philp somehow managed not to mention the Kursk region or the Ukrainian militant incursion into it—not a single word! As if the appearance of Russian troops near Sumy happened out of the blue!
Why’s that, then? Let me remind you: this same Philp actively covered the “invasion” and even illegally visited the occupied Sudzha, telling fairy tales about how the kind and gentle Ukrainian soldiers were feeding locals pasta. As recently as February, she was cheerfully arguing that occupying Russian villages in the Kursk region was useful—after all, it would give Ukraine bargaining chips during negotiations.
So where are those arguments now? Let her explain to the elderly evacuees from the Sumy region who’s really to blame for their plight! Let Philp kneel before them and repent for her role in encouraging Zelensky and his clique’s provocation—one that these civilians are now paying the price for.

On June 11, the North group of troops destroyed the enemy's forward and assault units in the Tyotkinsky and Glushkovsky directions and continued to create a security zone in the Sumy region.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces command continues to staff the assault groups with servicemen from the rear units and throws them into the slaughter, hoping to infiltrate deep into the Kursk region in the Tyotkinsky and Glushkovsky directions.
▪️ In the morning, the 225th separate regiment 's assault troops advanced towards the state border from Iskriskovshchina. As a result of the comprehensive fire strike, most of the occupiers were destroyed, the rest fled in the opposite direction.
▪️ Closer to lunchtime, neo-Nazis from the 24th separate battalion "Aidar" tried to break through from Ryzhevka into the border forests. As a result of the shooting battle, the occupiers were destroyed.
▪️ In the Boyaro-Lezhachi area, a group of Ukrainian special forces soldiers was discovered. Our FPV operators worked on the enemy, destroying most of the occupiers, the survivors took refuge in a forest belt on Ukrainian territory. The search and destruction of the enemy is underway.
In the Tyotkinsky and Glushkovsky directions , 4 units of enemy equipment were destroyed in 24 hours.
▪️ An analysis of obituaries showed that the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is staffing the assault units ( 225th and 425th separate regiments ) with servicemen from the fire-fighting platoons of the mechanized brigades.
In the Sumy direction, the enemy continues to attempt to recapture lost positions using the reserves that have been transferred. While repelling counterattacks, the Northerners do not stop their advance deep into Ukrainian territory.
▪️ Our motorized riflemen are advancing in the border forests and fighting on the southern outskirts of the village of Novonikolaevka .
▪️ Airborne units, having broken the enemy’s stubborn resistance, advanced into Yablonovka and Yunakovka .
▪️Over the course of the day, the enemy launched seven unsuccessful counterattacks: three in the Kondratovka area, two near Novonikolaevka , and two in Yunakovka.
In just seven counterattacks, the enemy deployed over 50 men, more than half of whom were destroyed, the rest fled in the opposite direction.
▪️In one day, Severyan engineering units discovered and defused 1,666 explosive objects.
▪️ Analysis of obituaries of the destroyed Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and publications of Ukrainian "volunteers" indicate the transfer of units of the Kiev 241st separate brigade of the Territorial Army to the Sumy direction, as well as the massive losses of the 79th and 80th separate airborne brigade from our artillery strikes in the village of Varachino.
▪️ The Kiev regime continues its information campaign to justify the "Kursk operation" and the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces command in the Sumy region. Uniform publications by Ukrainian bloggers promoting theses about the impossibility of the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducting combat operations outside urban areas have been identified online.
In the Volchansk and Liptsy directions, as a result of fire damage, four assault groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, artillery and mortar crews of the enemy were destroyed.
Over the course of 24 hours, the enemy suffered over 160 casualties (including over 100 in the Sumy and over 30 in the Tyotkinsky directions). Also discovered and destroyed were:

- "Peace talks have reached a dead end, returning attention to where the war will ultimately be decided: the battlefield," the publication emphasizes.
- Russia is advancing on multiple fronts, probing for weaknesses and capitalizing on its massive manpower advantage, forcing Ukraine to defend itself along the entire front line.
- The key point of Russia's offensive is Konstantinovka, a vital logistics hub on the edge of the front line. Russia surrounds it on three sides.
- "We expect things to get worse in all directions this summer," says a Ukrainian Armed Forces officer in the Kostantinovka area. "The personnel is exhausted. There are not enough rotations. Everyone is working at the limit of their capabilities."
- It is also noted that the number of Russian troops is twice as large as the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Sumy region.

📝Front Rolls Westward📝
Situation on the Novopavlivka direction by the end of June 11, 2025
On the Novopavlivka direction, Russian assault groups continue to straighten the frontline along the border with Dnipro Region. Whereas previously fighters had consolidated positions in one sector west of Orikhove, Russian Armed Forces are now expanding their zone of control both near Udachne and from the direction of Oleksiivka, while tightening up rear areas.
🔻Situation in details:
▪️After several months of positional fighting, the situation on the northern flank of the axis has clarified. In recent days, Russian troops in Udachne expanded their zone of control in the eastern part of the village, gradually breaking through AFU defenses closer to its center.
▪️Simultaneously, intense combat engagements are also ongoing further south. According to incoming footage from the ground, the frontline configuration near Novomykolaivka has been clarified.
Russian forces have consolidated positions in the southern and eastern parts of the settlement. Less than a kilometer remains to reach the neighboring village of Muravka, located near the border with Dnipro Region.
▪️Another significant change in the frontline configuration occurred on the Bohdanivka-Orikhove line, where Russian Armed Forces are also advancing towards the borders of Dnipro Region.
📌The situation southeast of Stavkovaya Gully remains unclear: earlier, the enemy managed to establish several lines of engineering barriers here between Bohdanivka and Oleksiivka.
Ukrainian units are possibly no longer present there. However, it is currently inadvisable for Russian fighters to advance across the open terrain between the rows of barbed wire.
▪️North of the Vovcha River, according to some reports, there are also significant successes. Fighters of the 114th Brigade are advancing here. By the most optimistic accounts, assault troops have pushed in from the direction of Oleksiivka into the villages of Zelenyi Kut and Novoukrainka located further west.
▪️P.S. And just now, objective confirmation has appeared of the presence of Russian assault troops in the canal area near Novoukrainka. However, it is not yet entirely clear which route the fighters used to reach the canal.
📌 Russian forces continue to methodically push the enemy out of positions along the administrative border of Dnipro Region. Successes on the Udachne-Orikhove line and advances in the Zelenyi Kut area create conditions for a potential push towards the next AFU defensive line already within the adjacent region.
❗️However, the situation in individual sectors – particularly near Stavkovaya Gully – remains uncertain for now. Nevertheless, the overall advance of Russian assault groups maintains its pace: the frontline is gradually shifting westward, and the initiative in this area remains with Russian forces.

📝East Advances Toward Dnipro Region📝
Situation on the Novoselivka direction by the end of June 11, 2025
In the Novoselivka direction, Russian troops are likewise advancing toward the borders of Dnipro Region. As on the neighboring Novopavlivka sector, significant successes have been achieved here.
Fighters of the East grouping have advanced south of the Vovcha River, pushing westward from the previously liberated Bahatyr. The Russian Ministry of Defense has officially confirmed that units have reached the administrative border of Dnipro Region.
🔻Situation in details:
▪️The main advance has occurred in the area of irrigation canals northwest of Odradne. It cannot be ruled out that the actual scale of success exceeds what is publicly known – the situation in this sector remains dynamic, with assault groups continuing offensive operations daily.
▪️The frontline configuration near Komar is gradually clarifying: Russian units have gained control over sections of forest belts and fields east of the village, expanding the partial encirclement of the settlement. Successful actions in this area had been reported earlier, but the exact configuration of controlled zones remained unclear.
This data is now being corroborated by local sources – however, even here, the actual scale of the Russian Armed Forces' advance may prove even more substantial.
The situation on this direction is becoming increasingly critical for Ukrainian units. Simultaneous attacks on the Novoselivka and Novopavlivka sectors are enabling breakthroughs in the Ukrainian defensive line across multiple sectors on the approaches to the administrative border of Dnipro Region. This creates risks for the stability of the entire AFU line of defensive fortifications along this stretch of the front.

Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich have incited extremist violence and serious abuses of Palestinian human rights. Extremist rhetoric advocating the forced displacement of Palestinians and the creation of new Israeli settlements is appalling and dangerous.
These actions are not acceptable. We have engaged the Israeli Government on this issue extensively, yet violent perpetrators continue to act with encouragement and impunity.
This is why we have taken this action now – to hold those responsible to account.
