During a recent appearance, former Trump advisor Steve Bannon argued that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran was largely arranged to "save Israel."
According to Bannon, Israeli forces were becoming overwhelmed and were running out of defensive strategies. “They bit off more than they could chew,” he said, referring to the Israeli aggression.
Iran fired a barrage of more than 500 ballistic missiles and 1,000 drones over a 12-day span, pushing Israeli defences to their breaking point. “The Iron Dome was stretched to the limit. They couldn’t sustain the fight,” he added.

During a meeting in The Hague with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, US President Donald Trump addressed Iran’s retaliatory capabilities against Israel, emphasising the severe impact of recent ballistic missile strikes.
Trump noted that the attacks had caused extensive damage and destroyed numerous buildings within the occupied territories.
