Russia To Build Floating Pumping Station to Restart Zaporozhye Nuclear Plant
Last week, we dismantled the claims made by IAEA Director Rafael “I Didn’t See Anything” Grossi, who outlined a list of supposed obstacles preventing the restart of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). At the time, we noted that water supply was the only unresolved issue — and we said confidently that Russia surely had a plan for that.
Fast forward to today, and now it’s official: Russia has begun constructing a floating modular pumping station to restore water flow to ZNPP.
According to the Russian outlet Neftegaz, Rosatom chief Alexey Likhachev confirmed the project and stated that a phased plan for restarting the plant is already in motion.
Likhachev emphasized that the new pumping station will eliminate the critical water supply bottleneck — long considered the main technical hurdle to getting the plant back online. However, he also made it clear: implementation depends on neutralizing military threats in the area.
So now, the only obstacle left — at least the only one Grossi had the nerve to mention — is the so-called political issue of restarting the plant.
And let’s be honest: no one really cares about that.

According to El País, Ukraine has begun assembling combat drones inside ordinary residential homes.
One such site, described in detail by the Spanish newspaper, produces around 20 drones per day, with output sometimes reaching up to 100. The house employs a team of about a dozen workers. From the outside, it appears to be just another civilian residence — there’s no visible sign of the military production inside.
El País reports that this so-called "garage military-industrial complex" was officially presented to Zelensky in February, although this particular workshop had already been running since last year.
The process involves importing civilian-grade drones, which are then modified on-site for frontline use — either into FPV kamikaze drones or fitted with drop mechanisms for carrying explosives.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 Russia Deploys New AI-Equipped Kamikaze Drone in Sumy Sector, According to Ukrainian Sources
According to Ukraine’s military intelligence (GUR), Russia has developed and deployed a new strike drone powered by artificial intelligence, designated V2U. The drone reportedly has the ability to autonomously search for and select targets without human input.
Ukrainian sources claim the V2U is already being used on the Sumy front, where Russian forces continue to advance.
The drone is said to be equipped with a Chinese Leetop A203 mini-computer, based on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin AI platform. Most of the other internal components are also reportedly sourced from China.
Ukrainian reports further allege that the drone uses onboard visual data comparison—matching live footage to preloaded imagery of terrain—and can also be manually controlled in FPV mode via a SIM card from a Ukrainian mobile network.

⚡️Two Majors #Summary for the morning of June 9, 2025
▪️ At night, 49 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs were shot down over the Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Oryol, Bryansk, Belgorod regions, as well as the Chuvash Republic. Footage of a UAV strike on Cheboksary is circulating, the enemy identified the hit object as "ABS Electro and VNIIR-Progress".
▪️ Geranii and missile weapons were operating on enemy territory. Explosions were reported in Cherkassy, Kiev, Ternopil, Rivne, Poltava, Chernigov, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsa, and Sumy regions. Separately, it should be noted that the enemy reported that at about 01:50 , explosions thundered in the area of gas platforms in the Black Sea (allegedly our Kh-22 missiles). Numerous landings in the Rivne region were characterized by the enemy as the strongest attack on the region since the beginning of the war.
▪️ On the Kursk section of the border, the paratroopers of the 425th separate regiment of the AFU once again tried to infiltrate the village of Novy Put, were met with fire, destroyed or retreated. Also in the first half of the day, the 24th separate battalion "Aidar" of the AFU advanced from Ryzhevka in the direction of Tyotkino, were destroyed by drones. Fierce fighting is underway in the Sumy direction, the enemy is trying to counterattack.
▪️ In the Belgorod region, in the village of Krasnaya Yaruga, two men were injured as a result of a drone attack. Near the village of Chaiki, a man was injured by an FPV drone strike. AFU drones twice struck a parking lot of a commercial facility in the village of Nikolskoye, Belgorod district. Five people were injured, including two self-defense fighters and one from the Orlan unit, who were providing assistance to civilians at the time of the second attack. Maysky, Dubovoye, Nikolskoye, Malinovka, Oktyabrsky, Grushevka, Malinovo, Grayvoron, Shebekino, Novaya Tavolzhanka, Valuyki, Baytsury were under attack.
▪️ In the Konstantinovsky direction, the enemy recognizes the advance of the Russian Armed Forces in Yablonovka in the western part along two streets north and south of the Bychok River. An offensive is underway in the direction of Aleksandro-Kalinovo, battles are taking place in the Popovy Yar area, south of Poltavka and in the Dachnoye area.
▪️ In the South - Donetsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces repelled enemy counterattacks and continued offensive operations. The battle for Komar continues. Far Eastern soldiers report that control has been established over the southern part of the settlement. Cleansing is underway.
▪️ In the Kherson region, in Radenske, as a result of shelling of a residential sector, a man born in 1969 was wounded. Under attack, an electrical substation in Verkhniy Nizhniye Serogozy. Forests are burning due to strikes by the AFU. Aleshky, Novaya Kakhovka, Kakhovka, Dnepryany, Olgino, Kazachiy Lagerya, Korsunka, Proletarka were shelled.

On June 8, the North troop group eliminated enemy forward and assault units in the Tyotkino and Glushkovo directions, and continued establishing a Sanitary Zone in the Sumy region.
The enemy is still trying to break through in Tyotkino and Glushkovo directions on foot. The Northmen are grinding down enemy forces, no letting the enemy cross the border.
▪️An assault group of 425th Assault Regiment once again attempted to storm Novy Put early in the morning. Most of the enemy soldiers were eliminated with a comprehensive fire attack, the rest are now hiding in cellars in Pavlivka.
425th Assault Regiment’s ‘MIA’ soldier’s families couldn’t get any information from the Regiment’s command and are now trying to learn something from Territorial Centers of Recruitment (TCRs), but are met with rudeness and uncooperative workers.
▪️An assault group of 24th Assault Battalion (‘Aidar’) set off from Ryzhivka towards Tyotkino in the morning. The group was met with kamikaze drones and swiftly eliminated.
▪️Furthermore, some enemy troops were eliminated with comprehensive fire attacks in Ryzhivka and Katerinivka.
In Tyotkino and Glushkovo directions, 6 units of enemy equipment were destroyed in 24 hours.
In Sumy direction the Northmen, having deflected an enemy attack, are advancing into Ukrainian territory.
▪️The enemy is using newly-deployed reserves of 225th Assault Regiment to try and overwhelm our Marines south of Kindrativka. The enemy soldiers left their dead and ran away after a gunfight.
▪️Our Airborne units continue mopping-up actions in forest belts along the border, as well as fighting in Yunakivka and Yablunivka. Both settlements are under partial Russian control, the AFU are slowly but surely retreating.
▪️Our engineering units neutralized over 1018 explosive objects over the past 24 hours.
▪️AFU soldiers complain about the state of fortifications in Sumy region on social media.
This may be a coordinated effort – part of the propaganda campaign aimed at putting the blame for AFU’s losses in Sumy region on region’s ex-governor Volodymyr Artiukh (previously fired by Zelenskyy).
▪️AFU’s ‘MIA’ soldiers’ families complain that local administration of Poltava wouldn’t allow them to hold a demonstration.
Many Ukrainians say this is because Kyiv refused to receive the bodies of 6000 dead AFU servicemen from Russia. It is believed, that widows may take radical action during a peaceful protest.
In Volchansk and Liptsy directions four AFU assault groups, along with their vehicles, were eliminated with comprehensive fire attacks.
▪️The Northmen advanced over 50 meters in Volchansk and captured a fortified enemy position in the direction of Vovchanski Khutory.
▪️The enemy made 5 attempts at aerial reconnaissance using expensive airplane-type UAVs. All enemy drones were shot down while in Ukrainian territory.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy's losses amounted to over 150 people (including over 90 in Sumy direction and over 30 in Tyotkino direction). Also uncovered and destroyed:

Quite a few Geraniums and missiles flew into the area of the settlement of Dubno in the Rivne region tonight.
🔊 Based on the first fires recorded by NASA satellites, one of the targets ( probably the main one ) was the Dubno airfield. There, in the area of the vehicle depot and the technical and operational part, a fire was recorded.
Locals confirm that there have been many strikes at the airfield, and since satellite images are updated every couple of hours, the results will likely be updated.
🟠 It is noteworthy that the airfield previously housed an extremely large container storage facility, in principle, it is clear what the contents were, which indicates the active use of this airbase in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On the night of June 9, 2025, Russian forces launched a series of strikes with Kh-22 cruise missiles and attack UAVs on military and strategic targets. Hits were recorded in five areas, including targets on the Black Sea coast, military logistics, and airfield infrastructure. The fact of the defeat of both military units and dual-use facilities was confirmed.
🔻 Pechenegi, Kharkov region (01:40, 09.06.2025)
Four attack UAVs hit two objects. Three of the devices struck a sawmill on Partizanskaya Street, causing a major fire to break out on an area of about 500 m². According to information from the scene, the explosion of a gas cylinder caused a secondary fire and resulted in injuries to a State Emergency Service employee.
The fourth drone hit the temporary location of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade's logistics platoon. An army VW CRAFTER in a multi-purpose configuration, used as a mobile supply point, was damaged.
🔻 Dubno, Rovne region

As a result of a massive attack by 14 attack UAVs, the infrastructure of the Dubno military airfield was damaged. The airfield is actively used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces command as a reserve airfield for the deployment and maintenance of Western-made fighters , including the F-16 . According to intelligence, the facility serves as a logistics base and maintenance point in the western operational direction.
The targets of the strike were:
— fuel storage facilities and distribution units of the PMM
— capital hangars and maintenance facilities
- open parking for aircraft
- temporary air defense and radar tracking points
- field command post for airfield control
According to preliminary data, the destruction of at least two units of airfield special equipment was recorded, including a tractor-aircraft carrier and a mobile food station . Damage to an An-26 transport aircraft , located in the southwestern sector of the parking lot, was also confirmed.
As for aviation: there was no information about damage or destruction of American F-16s , however, there is initial information about damage to one Su-27 fighter of the Ukrainian Air Force, which was undergoing maintenance outside the shelter. The damage was presumably caused by shrapnel impact and secondary combustion.
According to available information, part of the airfield infrastructure has been decommissioned , including the RTO systems, lighting and communications with command posts. The operational readiness of the airfield is currently partially limited.
🔻 Nikolaipole, Donetsk region ( 04:00, 09.06.2025)
The strike of one UAV hit the positions of the battalion tactical group of the 18th brigade of the NGU. The attack was carried out on an engineer-equipped field stronghold. According to radio intercept data, damage was recorded to one multi-purpose armored vehicle and technical camouflage equipment. There were no casualties among the personnel, but the facility was temporarily taken out of combat readiness.

A sea-launched cruise missile, the Kh-22, hits the Ukraine jack-up drilling platform located east of Zmeiny Island. The strike hit a site previously upgraded to house radio-technical and hydroacoustic surveillance equipment that provided surveillance in the Black Sea. According to updated information, the equipment is out of order.

Presumably, about 3-5 Kinzhal missiles and up to 10 Kh-101 and Kh-31P missiles were used against the Dubno airfield in the Rovno region of Ukraine. Such an expenditure of missiles indirectly indicates that there was something valuable at the airfield, for which they did not spare extremely expensive weapons. What exactly it was is still unclear, but there are no Maxar or PlanetLabs satellite images from this place, and most likely there will not be, because the damage was considerable.
