In the video, sappers are defusing a fallen FAB-500T with UMPK, which has a significantly modified rear part. The Ukrainians reported that among the debris they found Chinese SW800Pro engines, which seem to be located in this rear part.
Possibly, the rear cover is supposed to fly off at launch, but here it did not happen, causing the FAB to fall short of the target.

🗞 Before the meeting between Trump🇺🇸 and the Supreme🇷🇺 in Hungary🇭🇺, the media are discussing the allegedly announced “percentage” of the DPR, which according to Washington’s plan should go to Russia, provided that hostilities along the LoC stop. At the same time, Moscow’s public demands regarding full control over all new regions (including Kherson and Zaporozhye) have not changed.
▪️ Yesterday in Ukraine, our new FABs capable of flying 200 km were discussed, with reports of arrivals of such devices in Poltava. At night, they were also used over Kharkov, including the CHP-4 area. “Geraniums” targeted Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson, Cherkasy, Sumy, Chernigov regions. Residents of Chernigov were urged to stock up on drinking water. In the city of Smila, Cherkasy region, a fire broke out in the locomotive depot after strikes. Our forces are systematically knocking out the enemy’s traction fleet.
▪️ The enemy attacked Bataisk in the Rostov region with drones at night, damaging a house and commercial pavilions. ▪️ In the Belgorod region, an apartment building in Shebekino was attacked by a drone as well as the village of Starovshchina. A house in a Plotvyanka farmstead and in the village of Borisovka were damaged.
▪️ On the Kharkov front – heavy fighting. The enemy is pulling reserves and counterattacking. Advances on the left bank of Volchansk are reported; battles are ongoing for every building. Fighting continues in the forest west of Synelnykove and near Tykhyi. On the Melovoe-Khatne front section, our assault troops are advancing in forest plantations; the enemy is conducting counteractions. Three AFU servicemen were captured.
▪️ The situation in Kupyansk is worsening for the AFU. The enemy acknowledges the penetration of our advanced assault units into the south of the city.
▪️ On the Krasnolymansk front, Russian forces are breaking through enemy defenses near Novoselivka-Stavky.
▪️ In Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmiisk), Russian forces are advancing into the western part of the city. Successes are reported in the vicinity of Shakhovo and Promin. The Russian MoD reported the capture of Lenino (Molodetsky) on the border with Dnepropetrovsk region west of Udachne.
▪️ In the east of the Zaporozhye region, our assault groups are advancing westward from liberated Poltavka; there are also successes north of the Uspenivka bridgehead. Our forces are levelling the front.
❗️ On the Zaporozhye front, our forces yesterday launched a powerful offensive on Mala Tokmachka, preliminarily knocking out artillery, enemy drone launch points, and clearing minefields. The enemy counted 26 units of our equipment in the offensive, including tank hedgehogs with mine rollers, which are not easy to hit with drones. The enemy brought in HIMARS MLRS. The gray zone in the pocket from the settlement of Rabotino to Mala Tokmachka is shifting towards the road to Orikhov.
▪️ On the Kherson front, our forces continue strikes on the enemy shore. Two men were wounded by strikes from the AFU in Tavriyske. The enemy struck Aleysk, Velyka Lepetykha, Kakhovka, Korsunka, Solontsi, Brylivka, Nova Mayachka, Radensk, and Podokalinivka.

After prolonged preparation to destroy enemy minefields, UAV launch points, and artillery positions by the forces of the 4th Guards Military Base, our troops created a powerful armored fist with electronic warfare, “hedgehogs”, and grills. By creating false strike directions and thoroughly studying the enemy, with the skillful unified use of diverse forces and means of the 58th Guards Combined Arms Army, our forces occupied 3/4 of the village and managed to consolidate their position. Infantry from the 42nd Guards Motor Rifle Division was operating on the ground. Unfortunately, there are losses in armored vehicles and personnel, but they are minimal.
We are to entrench ourselves in the positions, organize logistics, and locate the annoying “HIMARS” that the enemy has brought in to support their forces.

Russian Armed Forces’ successes in central Pokrovsk
In the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd direction, the situation remains dynamic and extremely tense. On the northern flank, heavy fighting continues at the approaches to Zolotyi Kolodets near Kucherov Yar and Shakhove.
The confrontation for Rodynske continues — neither side has full control over the settlement yet. At the same time, on the central sector, Russian troops continue to develop previously achieved successes in the vicinity of Mirnograd and Pokrovsk.
🔻What is known at the moment?
▪️Russian small assault groups have begun operating on the eastern outskirts of Mirnograd. Based on objective control footage, we can confirm the Russian Armed Forces’ entry into the city from the Moskovskyi side. However, they do not yet have full control over the village.
▪️In Pokrovsk, the “gray zone” is gradually expanding: pairs and triples of assault troops and reconnaissance units are working in different parts of the city, slowly advancing towards the central area. On the western outskirts, troops managed to cut the M-30 highway in the industrial zone area.
Supplying the AFU garrison is still possible from Hryshyne and Rodynske, but involves significant risks. Real vehicle graveyards are already forming in the city’s surroundings.
▪️In the central part, troops are advancing along Zaliznychna Street, seeking to establish themselves on the railway station territory. If the Russian Armed Forces manage to hold the forward line, the AFU positions south of it in the Sobachivka and Pivdennyi neighborhoods will soon find themselves surrounded.
📌 Over the past two weeks, the Russian Armed Forces have achieved significant successes in the urban area. This may indicate both the exhaustion of the enemy’s resources and changes in Russian command approaches after unsuccessful attempts to establish a foothold in August.
At the same time, it should be noted that due to constant drone attacks, it is too early to speak of stable control over the built-up area.
❗️The high density of drones prevents long-term force accumulation or building retention, turning any personnel concentrations into priority targets for aviation and artillery. This applies equally to both sides.

When you see a Ukrainian counteroffensive retake Russian positions it is often part of a “feigned retreat”.
The video above gives some consequences of this.
Also in some conditions, “spiked ammunition” is left for the opposing forces to ‘find’ and use. This tactic was brutally effective in Syria and anyone following the conflict will recall many episodes that were filmed - often fatally.

On October 20th, the North troop group continued establishing a Sanitary Zone in Kharkiv and Sumy regions

Northmen’s Marines continue to advance on the North troop group’s right flank. Russian Air Forces, strike drones and MLR systems strike at enemy positions all along the frontline. The enemy is putting up a fight, deploys reserves and tries to counterattack.
▪️Our assault units advanced over 200 meters through the forest belts on the right flank.
▪️The enemy 225th Assault Regiment attempted to counterattack three times in Kostyantynivka. All attacks were foiled with comprehensive fire attacks, the enemy suffered losses and had to retreat. One enemy soldier was taken POW.
▪️All is relatively quiet in Tyotkino and Glushkovo directions. Russian Air Forces and artillery were striking at enemy positions in Iskryskivshchyna and Ryzhivka.
Kharkiv direction
The Northmen’s assault units continue advancing all along the frontline in Kharkiv region, assisted by Russian Air Forces and rocket artillery. The AFU is deploying reserves, foreign mercenaries among them, and tries to counterattack.
▪️The Northmen advanced over 200 meters on the left bank of Vovcha river, capturing over five buildings.
▪️Our assault units advanced over 200 meters in the woods west of Synelnykove.
▪️The Northmen continued to advance, gaining over 500 meters and clearing two forest belts in the vicinity of Tykhe.
▪️Out assault units advanced over 500 meters in the forest belts along the Milove-Khatne line, foiling two enemy counterattacks. Three enemy soldiers were taken POW.
▪️All is relatively quiet in Liptsy direction. The enemy was laying low.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy’s losses amounted to over 200 people (including over 130 in Sumy region and over 70 in Kharkiv region), four enemy soldiers were taken POW. Also uncovered and destroyed:
