Press TV (Iran) follows closely the BRICS summit events and declaration

Last night, I joined a panelist from Germany in a half-hour discussion on Press TV devoted to the day’s events in Delhi. As I understood, Iran’s President Pezeshkian was one of the very few who called a spade a spade from the dais when he addressed the BRICS assembly: he spoke directly about not submitting to U.S. bullying and was not afraid to name the villain who unleashed an illegal war of aggression against his country. He condemned unilateral tariffs and secondary sanctions of that same villain most forcefully. Although the Delhi declaration passed unanimously by the BRICS members was much more restrained in its language, Iran’s basic points on the need to protect Palestinians, to condemn attacks on peaceful nuclear installations and the like were in fact embedded in the Declaration. What is missing, of course, is a plan of action to resist the crimes and abuses of said villain…
