⚓️ Baltic Fleet undergoes planned exercises to rescue a ship captured by terrorists

The Baltic Fleet's counter-sabotage detachments and special operations forces units practised liberation of a ship captured by terrorists.

▫️ According to the scenario, a civilian ship, which was a rescue tug of the Baltic Fleet, was captured by a group of armed men threatening to kill hostages if they failed to comply.

▫️ The Baltic Fleet Command decided to send anti-sabotage and patrol vessels as well as high-speed boats with special forces personnel of the Baltic Fleet to the area of the incident.

▫️ In order to support the actions of the special military forces, naval helicopters with assault detachments on board were involved. During this episode of the exercise, various options were practised to isolate the captured ship. They also trained to evacuate the wounded and provide them with medical assistance.

🚩 As a result of intensive operations, units of the Sever Group of Forces have completed the liberation of Kondratovka (Sumy region).

🔥 They inflicted fire damage on clusters of manpower and military hardware of two mechanised brigades, one tank brigade, one air assault brigade, one jaeger brigade, one coastal defence brigade, one air assault regiment and two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and one special operations centre of the Ukrainian Defence Intelligence Directorate near Iskrikovshchina, Petrushevka, Sadki, Yunakovka, Novaya Sech, Pisarevka, Khoten, Pavlovka, and Veliky Prikol (Sumy region).

▪️ The AFU losses amounted to more than 230 troops, two tanks, three armoured fighting vehicles, nine motor vehicles, and five field artillery guns. One radar and two ammunition depots were neutralised.

🚩 As a result of resolute actions, units of the Zapad Group of Forces liberated Redkodub (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥 Losses were inflicted on three mechanised brigades, one assault brigade and one airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the settlements of Chistovodovka, Kupyansk, Glushchenkovo, Borovaya, Peschanoye, Olgovka, Andreyevka (Kharkov region), and Volchy Yar (Donetsk People's Republic).

▪️The AFU losses amounted to up to 220 troops, one tank, four armoured fighting vehicles, 13 motor vehicles, and three artillery guns, including one 155-mm Bogdana self-propelled artillery system, and one German-made 155-mm Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery system. Moreover, Russian troops eliminated Kvertus and Anklav electronic warfare stations, as well as five ammunition depots.

🔥 The Yug Group's units improved the situation along the front line. They hit manpower and military hardware of three mechanised brigades, one motorised infantry brigade, one assault brigade, one airmobile brigade, and one mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Dronovka, Seversk, Privolye, Nikiforovka, Serebryanka, Pereyezdnoye, Konstantinovka, Ivanovopolye, and Aleksandro-Shultino (Donetsk People's Republic).

▪️ The enemy sustained losses of up to 250 troops, three motor vehicles, six artillery guns, and one Croatian-made RAK-SA-12 MLRS launcher. Two electronic warfare stations, one counter-fire radar, and three ammunition depots were neutralised.

📍 The Tsentr Group's units improved the tactical situation. They hit formations of six mechanised brigades, two air assault brigades of the AFU, two marine brigades, one territorial defence brigade, and two national guard brigades close to Petrovskoye, Udachnoye, Novonikolayevka, Dimitrov, Koptevo, and Bogdanovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

▪️The enemy losses amounted to up to 520 troops, five armoured fighting vehicles, and five field artillery guns.

📍 The Vostok Group's units continued to advance to the depths of the enemy's defence. They inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of one mechanised brigade, one air assault brigade, and one airmobile brigade close to Komar, Otradnoye (Donetsk People's Republic), and Temirovka (Zaporozhye region).

▪️ The AFU lost more than 180 troops, five armoured fighting vehicles, five motor vehicles, three field artillery guns, and three electronic warfare stations.

🔥 Elements of the Dnepr Group of Forces inflicted losses on formations of two mechanised brigades, three coastal defence brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and one territorial defence brigade near Plavni, Pavlovka, Orekhov, Novoyakovlevka (Zaporozhye region), Ponyatovka, Antonovka, and Sadovoye (Kherson region).

▪️ The enemy lost up to 75 troops, eight motor vehicles, and two artillery guns. Two electronic warfare stations, two counter-fire radars, and one ammunition depot were annihilated.

✈️ Operational-tactical aviation, attack UAVs, missile troops and artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces destroyed a launcher, a radar, and a combat control cabin of the German-made IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile system, and inflicted fire damage on a fuel production plant, drone assembling workshops and UAV storage areas, ammunition depots, a combat service support base, and temporary deployment areas of AFU units in 133 areas.

🎯 Air defence systems shot down three HIMARS MLRS projectiles and 109 fixed-wing UAVs.

📊 In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the enemy has lost:

🤝 Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the command and personnel of the 283rd Motorised Rifle Regiment on the liberation of Redkodub (Donetsk People's Republic).

‘In fierce battles against neo-Nazis in Rubtsy direction, the regiment's soldiers have shown great courage and selflessness, decisively defeating the enemy and leaving no chance for the Kiev regime's militants,’ the head of the Russian defence department noted.

🚩 Servicemen of the 20th Army (Zapad Group of Forces) liberated Redkodub in the Donetsk People's Republic.

Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov holds meeting on mine clearance operations in border areas

A meeting devoted to discussing mine action operations in border areas took place under the guidance of Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov.

'At a meeting on 22 May, the President instructed to create the conditions necessary for Russian citizens to return home to Kursk region as soon as possible. It is up to us to create these conditions in terms of demining territories, roads, and areas,' said the Russian Defence Minister.

💬 Andrei Belousov noted that most of the territory of Kursk region has been cleared of mines by joint forces of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

'A total of 42,000 hectares of land, 11,000 buildings and facilities, and 768 kilometres of roads have been cleared of mines. In total, 443,000 explosive objects have been detected and destroyed. However, there is still a great deal of work to be done, and it must be completed as soon as possible,' said the Russian Defence Minister.

⚙️ The Russian Defence Minister stressed that it is necessary not only to complete mine clearance, but also to create conditions for the work of builders, who will begin to restore residential and social facilities and roads.

'To this end, we have established lists of facilities to be demined, taking into account the distance from the line of contact,' said Andrei Belousov.

🏳️ AFU POW tells about personnel shortage in AFU ranks

Ivan Nabokov, a prisoner of war, was mobilised by TCC officers despite varicosis and difficulty walking.

'They said there would be a commission, to check everything,' Nabokov said. 'But nothing happened, no one even wrote anything'.

The prisoner says there are not enough soldiers in the AFU and soldiers are now trained for 30 days instead of 45. Those captured by the TCC officers are considered to be fit for service, regardless of results of the medical commission, and are sent to the front line.
