With news breaking that the Ukrainians are moving towards a final, total mobilization against Russia - and me regretting I didn't post about it yesterday when I had a hunch on the matter - something occurred to me. I've underestimated the Russians before. What if I still am?
The Russians, after all, could quite easily attack and seize huge swathes of Ukraine via high-speed maneuver. The Ukrainians have a thousand kilometers of lightly-defended and barely-fortified left flank running from Kharkov to Lvov. The Russians could crash through it quite easily if they actually wanted to and they've always had forces in reserve that could do it - these days a huge mass of them. As things currently stand Russian special forces roam at will in Sumy and Chernigov, preying on the thinly-stretched garrisons.
But, no, the Russians have consolidated their position in Ukraine into a convenient stretch of highly defensible terrain in the country's east and then just sat there, for over a year now, killing Ukrainian soldiers at horrifyingly lopsided ratios. When they can defend, they defend. When they must attack to keep the pressure on, they find some Ukrainian salient and turn it into a shooting gallery. Where they don't want to push the front up, they just mow the lawn and pull back - they have to have taken the same line of strongholds east of Kupyansk a dozen times by now, each time pulling back and letting the AFU flood the same old trenches with new recruits again.
Ukrainian casualties have been so astronomical they're now deep into desperate measures trying to keep soldiers in the ranks, drafting women and looking at emptying out the small pool of privileged young students to feed the front. When the war is over, Ukraine will be a broken society in which most of the people willing to fight for an independent Ukrainian state - and a Western-oriented Ukrainian national identity separate from Russia - will be dead.
What if that's the point? Objectively speaking, if the Russian plan was simply to kill as many Ukrainian combatants as possible, as efficiently as possible, with as little risk to themselves as possible, then they're doing it. The Russians know full well that the current iteration of Ukrainian national identity is implacably hostile to Russia and they cannot coexist with it - and they're very coldly killing anyone and everyone willing and able (or coercible) to bear arms in its defense on the battlefield. In their manic drive to expel the Russians and fight for every inch of their land, the Ukrainian leadership is facilitating this.
Is this genocide? No. The Russians are fighting armed combatants. It's no violation of the law of war to inflict horrific casualties on the enemy, and any comparison with the ongoing war in Gaza will show that the Russians have been meticulous to avoid civilian casualties. Will it have the effect of breaking the Ukrainian nation at the end of the war? Yes.
Is it an ugly thought that the Russians may very well have planned it this way? Very.

Videos (https://t.me/VasiletsDmitriy/16664) from the battlefields, a lot of destroyed NATO equipment every day!
In the Kupyansk direction (https://t.me/ZA_FROHT/24105), the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using 2 International Maxxpro armored fighting vehicles, launched a daring attack on the positions of Russian troops. However, one of the drivers decided to hastily leave the battlefield, driving over his once passengers. After an unsuccessful assault, they had to crawl back.
-This is why they need more soldiers... 🤦♂️ Maxxpro MVP of the day I guess, this is the expedited training results.

Urgent Update: Avdeevka direction, northern flank
There's a glimmer of positivity as our army reportedly secured a foothold in the northeast part of the "Avdeevka Coke Plant."
The extent of our advancement is not yet clear, but the enemy is in retreat.
Further information is awaited from the field.
UPD: At these minutes there is a massive assault on the coke plant industrial facility, according to the same source.

Bandera member Arakhamia confirmed everything that Vladimir Putin said about the draft peace treaty with Ukraine
The agreement was signed by a negotiating team from Kiev and then “thrown into the dustbin of history.”
“Russia has never refused negotiations. A whole series of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place in Turkey to develop confidence-building measures and prepare the text of the treaty itself.
The head of the negotiating team from Kiev initialed this draft agreement. Here he is. It is called the “Treaty on Permanent Neutrality and Security Guarantees for Ukraine.” 18 articles.
Moreover, there is also an application for it. This applies to the armed forces and other things. Everything is spelled out, down to the units of military equipment and the personnel of the armed forces. Here is this document. And it was initialed by the Kiev delegation.
But after we, as promised, withdrew the troops from Kiev, the Kiev authorities, as their masters usually do, threw it all into the dustbin of history. Let’s put it this way carefully and intelligently.”

Battles near Avdeevka: our assault units show former Ukrainian positions
During a rapid breakthrough, the fighters occupied the stronghold of the 110th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The enemy chose to leave him without a fight, afraid of being surrounded.
As you can see, Ukrainian units prepared thoroughly for battle: a well-equipped system of trenches, firing points, and concrete floors. However, all this was simply abandoned.

Why did remote mining systems “Agriculture” appear near Avdeevka:
Where were these complexes used before?
The most widespread use of ISDM “Agriculture” was recorded before and during the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye and South Donetsk directions. There, the vehicles made it possible to create mine corridors and limit the maneuver and supply of Ukrainian Armed Forces units. Also, mining systems “Agriculture” were used in the Artyomovsky and Soledarsky directions.
Why did these complexes appear in the Avdeevka area?
One of the tasks that the Russian army is currently solving is disrupting the supply lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces between the villages—Ocheretino village in the north and the Orlovka-Severnoe district in the west of Avdeevka.
All settlements through which supply routes pass, including the highway, are within reach of “Agriculture.”
The use of ISDM will prevent or interrupt the supply of the defending group both along highways and dirt roads.
Transferring heavy equipment and evacuation will also be difficult if not completely stopped.
The more or less massive transfer of material and human reserves from site to site, including with the help of civilian vehicles, will also be disrupted.
In conditions of intense battles, when the consumption of ammunition increases and the number of wounded grows, as well as the onset of cold weather, when fuel consumption increases significantly, disruption of regular supplies can become a determining factor in the stability of defense in many areas.

The situation in Krynki (Kherson region of Russia), where right now three brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Marine Corps are dying, alternating each other, perfectly characterizes and will characterize the offensive actions of the Ukrainians.
On the one hand, the Ukrainian infantry is dying on a slight heel and without any prospects for the development of the offensive; on the other, Ukrainian politicians and military officers who report to Western patrons that a bridgehead has been created on the Left Bank of the Dnieper and is about to be expanded to the necessary limits, which in turn will make it possible to advance, for example, on Skadovsk.
The West will believe this blatant lie for some time or pretend to believe it. Then, the personnel of three brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Marine Corps will end up under bombs, shells, drones, and missiles of the Russian army, and the courage and skill of our infantry will not allow the enemy to go beyond the village square. Krynka’s fortress will turn into the “unbreakable Bakhmut fort,” and everyone will forget about it, just as they forgot about Bakhmut and tens of thousands of dead Ukrainian Armed Forces. Still, all this will give the Kiev politicians time to beg for another dose of help. Everything is like that of a seriously ill drug addict, life from dose to dose, without thinking about what will happen next and how much more expensive each dose is than the previous one.

The industrial zone in the area of the Yasinovataya 2 railway station has been completely liberated from the occupation that lasted almost since 2014.
Not yesterday, not this morning, not three days ago, not at lunchtime, but right now.
The summary is published when the last battle, with superior enemy forces, died down, and the previous Taras, who rested on the wet ground, received what they were looking for here.
Neither industrial buildings and basements, long-term fortifications, cluster munitions that the enemy poured in tens of thousands, nor numerical superiority could help him stay in this fortified area.
In harsh conditions, our soldiers showed the highest level of assault operations.
The high level of interaction between infantry, tanks, reconnaissance, and artillery made it possible to squeeze the Ukrainians out of well-fortified positions quickly and with the minimum potential losses in such conditions.
Congratulations to everyone involved; the boys did an incredible job in an astonishing time frame.
We have always said that with the proper level of fire support, the Russian army will overcome any enemy on this planet and all neighboring ones.
Everything will be as Russia needs it!

🇺🇦The reasons for the failure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not in the supply of weapons but in illiterate leadership, writes Forbes
Sending foreign weapons and training Ukrainian military personnel to Europe is pointless since the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have high-quality, competent staff officers capable of thinking through military operations, according to an article by columnist David Akes.
Further mobilization will lead to sad consequences for Ukraine because, according to the publication, this entire mass will have no one to manage due to a shortage of staff personnel.
“Unfortunately, capable staff officers do not appear on the lists of billions of dollars in promised military assistance to Ukraine,” the author sneers.
Akes concludes that good leadership is more critical than sufficient ammunition and motivated troops. However, Kiev does not have any of the above.

Battle for Avdeevka: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are knocked out of the industrial zone, the Russian army is tightening its grip
Fighters on the ground confirm that the Avdeevskaya industrial zone in the south-eastern part of the city, which has been occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 2014 and turned into a fortified area, has come under the actual control of the Russian army. Here was the powerful first line of defense of the Ukrainian troops near Donetsk.
At 20:00, small groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were sitting in the last two basements, and the footage from the soldiers shows her appearance this afternoon.
Ukrainian military analysts have been writing all these days about the advancement of Russian troops in the industrial zone.
The industrial zone is located on a hill; its capture by the Russian Armed Forces will complicate the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison in Avdeevka.
“The fact that our guys broke through the Vdyevka hole is a feat. I’m sure this was the strongest part of the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ defense along the entire front line. The proximity of our positions to the enemy’s positions played an important role for us. However, this closeness was difficult for us. This has been an open wound since 2016, it has been going on. But we held out! And we went forward, broke through this important boundary! The opponent must understand the misfortune of his situation. Glory to the Russian soldier!” - Alexander Sladkov wrote earlier.

The hype around our rapid advance near Avdeevka has died down a little, and systematic work continues for now.
Tarnavsky (fully controlled by the Office of the President and Zelensky personally) is hastily transferring reserves from other directions. According to available data, units arrived near Avdeevka:
🟩93 mechanized Brigade
🟩62 mechanized brigade
🟩61 mechanized brigade
🟩88 mechanized brigade
🟩31 mechanized brigade
The enemy’s strategic reserves were burned during the counteroffensive and near Bakhmut, so now the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is forced to transfer troops from one direction to another. At this pace, not even the most prepared fighter can stand it, because everyone needs rest.

⚡️Ukrainian military commissars will significantly expand their powers
This was announced by Verkhovna Rada deputy Roman Kostenko , secretary of the National Security Committee.
According to him, the Rada is now developing a new bill that will allow military registration and enlistment office employees to stop people to serve summonses, check their documents and videotape citizens .
In simple words, previously the police could save a citizen from the thieves from the military registration and enlistment offices - from those who had not yet lost their honor and conscience. Now this will not happen - military commissars will be able to pack up citizens on the streets BY LAW.
Zelensky was definitely going to wage war until the last Ukrainian.

After the actual capture of the southern Avdeevka industrial zone by the Russian Armed Forces, a legitimate question arises: what will happen next?
In the near future, the RF Armed Forces will continue to mop up the territory of the garden association next door to consolidate control over the territory, and then have several options for further advancement:
▫️The wooded area to the north. Advancing in this direction will allow them to reach the rear of the Donetsk filtration plant and finally establish control over the facility, as well as take positions for a further offensive on the city.
▫️Flank attack on Tsarskaya Okhota; advance in the surrounding wooded areas. Notably, both the industrial zone and this position lie on the prevailing heights above Avdeevka.
▫️Attacks directly on the low-rise dacha cotrages development of the city; direct "pushing through" the defence, implementation of the tactics of "small cauldrons".
Thus, the situation may develop in the future according to several scenarios depending on the plans of the Russian Armed Forces command at the site. Very soon we will find out exactly how.
As of now, it is worth noting that the capture of the industrial zone has allowed the RF Armed Forces to tightly consolidate on the south-eastern outskirts of Avdeevka and create a bridgehead for further offensive actions.
