BREAKING: American journalist Gonzalo Lira has died in Ukrainian prison
"I cannot accept the way my son has died. He was tortured, extorted, incommunicado for 8 months and 11 days and the US Embassy did nothing to help my son. The responsibility of this tragedy is the dictator Zelensky with the concurrence of a senile American President, Joe Biden" -Gonzalo's father
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov: Today on the British TV channel Sky News there was a big story about how Iran is supplying weapons to Russia and the Yemeni Houthis. And on this basis, the conclusion was made that it was time to strike at Iran.
How interesting! That is, Russia also, by the same logic, has the right to strike those countries that supply weapons to Ukraine? Today, for example, the mayor of Gorlovka Prikhodko announced that all the latest shelling of the city by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being carried out by Czech “Vampires”. Do I understand correctly: Sky News, with its story, allows us to launch a missile strike on the Czech Republic? This will not be considered an act of aggression and an attack on NATO? 🤔

US-British Strikes Waste Critically Scarce Munitions on Futile (Stated) Objective
The US-UK all but fought Yemen itself through Saudi Arabia - selecting targets, arming and maintaining warplanes, through the provision of ground weapons, and even through deploying special operations forces on the ground inside Yemen since 2015.
It did nothing to discourage forces inside Yemen fighting for independence. They are better armed today and more experienced than ever before.
Squandering Scarce Munitions...
A few additional air and missile strikes will make little difference. Even the prospect of a larger ground campaign will make little difference unless it is on a scale so far unseen.
Thus, the US-UK are expending critically short munitions they will need for all the other wars they are provoking around the globe, on a battle they have long since demonstrated they cannot win.
Toward a Wider Regional War (Unstated Objectives)
It is, however, a dangerous escalation regionally - stemming from the US-sponsored Israeli operation in Gaza - and specifically seeking to draw Iran, Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon into the fighting allowing the US to reassert itself in the region or at a minimum, burn the region to the ground if it cannot.
We see the futility and self-destructive nature of US foreign policy in Europe, but it hasn't stopped Washington from trying anyway, and it won't in the Middle East either.

@fisherofsea on X: 🆘Apparently Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria wants to float new modified “minesweeping ships” on the Black Sea.
These NATO “minesweeping ships” with onboard sensors & real-time live signaling communication systems; sent to Ukraine real-time info targets in Crimea & deeper.
The US and UK, with the support of Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands, carried out strikes at night on targets in Yemen.
The Houthis previously said they were attacking their military bases and related facilities in the Middle East in response to attacks by the US and UK.
The Jerusalem Post reports that the US embassy in the Iraqi capital has come under attack.

Biden did start a direct new war in his presidency. Trump receives a powerful argument in his favor

Democratic member of the US House of Representatives Valerie Howell:
These airstrikes in Yemen were not authorized by Congress.
The Constitution clearly states that Congress is the sole authority to authorize military intervention in foreign conflicts.
Every president, no matter what party he belongs to, must first go to Congress and ask for permission to wage war.
The Houthis published videos of ballistic missile launches.
