💥 The first barrage of fire was launched from firing positions on a cluster of enemy manpower and light-armoured vehicles at a distance of about 10 km. By a second strike, the crews using high-explosive fragmentation rockets suppressed scattered AFU groups hiding in the forest belt.

💥 Uragan MLRS destroys a strategically important railway bridge near Kurakhovo

This bridge was an important part in the supply chain of AFU troops in Donetsk, South Donetsk, and Zaporozhye directions of the special military operation.

⚡️On 3 April 2024, at the urgent request of the French side, Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergei Shoigu and Minister of Defence of the French Republic Sebastien Lecornu have held telephone talks.

The French Defence Minister expressed his condolences in connection with the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall on 22 March 2024. At the same time, he persistently tried to convince that Ukraine and Western countries were not involved in the terrorist attack, shifting the responsibility to the Islamic State (IS).

Sergei Shoigu stressed that the investigation launched in connection with the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall would certainly be brought to an end, and all those responsible would be punished. There is information about Ukraine’s trail in the organisation of the terrorist attack.

Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces – Russia's First Deputy Defence Minister Valery Gerasimov said that Western countries are destroying the foundations of strategic stability.

'Recent events show that the West is systematically destroying the foundations of strategic stability and those of international security institutions,' said Valery Gerasimov at the opening of the session of the CIS Chiefs of Staff Committee in the Russian capital on Thursday.

He noted that 'today's meeting of CIS military officials is taking place amidst a rapidly changing military and political situation, which tends to become more complex'.

According to Valery Gerasimov, 'it is not without external influence that hotbeds of tension are emerging in various parts of the world, and international terrorism with the support of shadowy sponsors continues to be a global threat to peace'.

'Under these conditions,' the Russian military commander said, 'the challenges to the Commonwealth States are increasingly real and varied, and it forces us to have well-equipped and trained armed forces.'

He said it was a symbolism that today's joint work began with a visit to the exhibition of modern arms, military and special equipment used in the special military operation in Ukraine.

Valery Gerasimov added: 'It was certainly interesting and useful for you to learn about the achievements of Russia's military-industrial complex and promising developments in the military sphere'.

In the course of the meeting, he suggested that the meeting of the Committee should analyse the military and political situation developing in the world and on the borders of the Commonwealth countries, discuss the construction and development of joint military systems in the CIS format, consider the areas of combat training and field training of troops, taking into account the experience of modern combat operations, and discuss other issues of multilateral military cooperation of mutual interest.

The Chief of the Russian General Staff informed colleagues that there have been changes in the composition of the Committee since the previous meeting:

Sultan Kamaletdinov has been appointed First Deputy Minister of Defence - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, and Ruslan Mukambetov has been appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces - First Deputy Minister of Defence of Kyrgyzstan.

He then introduced the other participants. They are Kerim Veliyev, First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan; Artak Tonoyan, representative of the Armed Forces of Armenia; Viktor Gulevich, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and First Deputy Minister of Defence of Belarus; and Emomali Sobirzoda, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and First Deputy Minister of Defence of Tajikistan; and Shukhrat Halmukhamedov, First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan. ⚡️ Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation

(4 April 2024)

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

▫️ In Kupyansk direction, units of the Zapad Group of Forces have improved the situation along the front line and engaged AFU manpower and hardware close to Rozovka, Raygorodka, Zhovtnevoye (Lugansk People's Republic), and Terny (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 125 Ukrainian troops and four motor vehicles.

▫️In Donetsk direction, units of the Yug Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and hit manpower and hardware of the 28th Mechanised, 92nd Assault Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 241st Territorial Defence Brigade near Kleshcheyevka, Kurdyumovka, and Krasnogorovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU lost up to 340 Ukrainian troops, one tank, and eight motor vehicles.

In the course of the counter-battery warfare, two 152-mm Msta-B howitzers, one 152-mm D-20 howitzer, two 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems, three 122-mm D-30 howitzers, as well as three AFU ammunition depots were eliminated.

▫️In Avdeyevka direction, the units of the Tsentr Group of Forces have improved the situation along the front line. They defeated the units of the 24th, 47th mechanised, 3rd assault, and 25th airborne brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Orlovka, Berdychi, and Tonenkoye (Donetsk People's Republic).

One counter-attack launched by an assault detachment of the AFU 25th Airborne Brigade was repelled close to Pervomayskoye (Donetsk People's Republic).

The enemy lost up to 305 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, and one U.S.-made 155-mm Paladin self-propelled artillery system.

▫️In South Donetsk direction, the Vostok Group of Forces' units improved the tactical situation and inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of the AFU 58th Motorised Infantry Brigade, the 72nd Mechanised Brigade, as well as the 128th Territorial Defence Brigade near Vodyanoye, Storozhevoye, and Ugledar (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 105 Ukrainian troops, three motor vehicles, one U.S.-made 155-mm M777 howitzer, and one 122-mm BM-21 Grad MLRS combat vehicle during the day.

▫️In Kherson direction, the units of the Dnepr Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on the 28th Mechanised and 128th Mountain Assault Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Mirnoye and Pyatikhatki (Zaporozhye region).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 35 Ukrainian troops, three motor vehicles, as well as one Grad MLRS.

▫️Operational-Tactical Aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have been eliminated: an ammunition depot, a temporary deployment area of foreign mercenaries close to Merefa (Kharkov region), as well as manpower and military hardware of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 135 areas.

Russian air defence facilities have shot down one Su-27 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Kramatorsk (Donetsk People's Republic), destroyed 196 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, and intercepted 18 HIMARS MLRS projectiles.

▫️In total, 582 airplanes, 270 helicopters, 18,734 unmanned aerial vehicles, 495 surface-to-air missile systems, 15,687 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,264 MLRS vehicles, 8,654 field artillery guns and mortars, and 20,596 special military vehicles have been neutralised since the beginning of the special military operation.

Two Majors #Report for the Morning of 4 April 2024; pub. 06:59📍

🎯 The RFAF, in the first half of the night, launched a massive attack on enemy targets in the #Kharkov region by Geran UAVs, the strikes also hit the Lozovsky district in the south of the region.

🔹In the #Kherson direction, the AFU continue to build fortified areas on their shore, fortification and mine-explosive barriers are designed to slow down the possible advance of our troops if crossing the #Dnieper. The enemy strikes daily at civilian infrastructure. The Kakhovka gas distribution station has been damaged yesterday. There is still high activity of enemy drones, the RFAF are also working on identified targets with artillery and UAVs.

🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, the RFAF continue offensive operations in the area of #Rabotino - #Verbovoye. The enemy is pulling up AFVs and SAUs to #Orekhov. 🔹In the direction of #ChasovYar, the RFAF are moving towards the town. FABs are being actively used, the enemy is withdrawing part of its forces behind the Seversky Donets – Donbass Vodokanal, leaving its units in the western microdistrict for slaughter in order to delay our advance. The defense in the town has been under construction for many months, houses have been turned into strongholds.

💥 In the #Belgorod region, #Krasnoye settlement of the Shebekinsky urban district was attacked by the AFU kamikaze UAVs several times over the day. The enemy also shelled the village of #Vyazovoye in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district. The Nazis fired 162 rounds of ammunition at the peaceful population of the #DPR. A woman born in 1965 died in #Donetsk, civilians born in 1936, 1962 and 1969 were injured.

If it was an efficient way of weakening American adversaries during the Cold War era, why not do it again? Pentagon has got a rooting interest in many ex-Soviet Union republics, especially on Russia’s south, like Kazakhstan, Armenia, and this time Uzbekistan. As always, American presence in a country, no matter it is standalone military equipment, a boots-on-the-ground base or civil non-profits means that the Oval office has far-going plans on it.

A surge in bilateral US-Uzbekistan relations only proves that idea. A Central Asia country located next to “menacing” Russia and China and other unstable Asian states like Afghanistan, Tajikistan etc. is a much desired land for the White House. Just imagine ample opportunities the USA would have once Uzbekistan completely falls under the American influence – terrorist groups get under Pentagon’s control, Russia gets harsh economical obstacles, China gets a constant and a very close threat from the West.

That is why Pentagon tries to put its roots in Uzbekistan. Moreover, the parties undergo activities covertly, which is atypical. That might point that the White house has a strategic interest in the region.

Anyway, that military cooperation is only a beginning – and a strong signal to Russia and China. They must act, otherwise, they will get another US base in their own backyard.
