🇮🇱🇮🇷 Iranian Attack on Israel: Latest Updates as of 01:00, April 14, 2024
Iran has officially declared the commencement of Operation His Promise is True. A minimum of four waves of UAVs were dispatched towards Israel. Additionally, cruise missiles were deployed, with their trajectory captured in the vicinity of Iraqi Al-Basra. Reports also emerged regarding explosions on Iranian soil, suggesting that some missiles detonated upon launch.
▪️ The operation was initially designed to unfold in three phases. The first phase entailed a UAV assault from Iranian territory. The second phase involved the activation of Shiite groups in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon to divert Israeli air defense. The third phase featured the utilization of guided ballistic missiles. Estimates regarding the total number of UAVs and missiles varied among Western and Israeli analysts, with some speculating several hundred and others mentioning a thousand.
▪️ The initial wave of Iranian drones crossed into Syrian airspace after crossing the western border of Iraq. This prompted the British and American Air Forces to be placed on alert, with reports suggesting that they have commenced drone interception operations. It remains uncertain whether pro-Iranian factions in Syria participated in the attacks. Nevertheless, Arab and Persian sources have already begun festive celebrations and processions.
▪️ Various estimates have been proposed regarding the duration of the operation. Given reports of Iranian UAVs patrolling the skies over the Syrian capital, Damascus, explosions may be anticipated within the next hour, with the active phase expected to last until five or six in the morning.
