The updated T-80 is back in service. Russia has found additional use for it
Russia has upgraded the T-80 tank to the latest standard, writes Defense 24. (https://defence24.pl/przemysl/przemysl-zbrojeniowy-rosji-modernizuje-t-80) Now Moscow plans to resume production of these vehicles, but with a different configuration and under a different name - T-80BVM.
The improved tank is equipped with Relikt dynamic protection, a Sosna-U or PNM-T fire control system with a thermal imaging sight, as well as an R-168-25U-2 Aqueduct radio station, a 2A46M-4 gun with a new stabilization system and a gas turbine GTD-1250.
In addition, the T-80 will be used as a platform for a new version of the TOS-1 heavy flamethrower system.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are modernizing Western equipment into heaps of burning scrap metal.
🔶 Foreign media - the main international
Military expert Alexander Zimovsky (https://t.me/zimovskyAL/30227): "Ocheretino became a priority tactical task of the Russian army after the collapse of the Avdeevsky defense area of the AFU and the stampede of Ukrainians in the western direction.
The shock fist of the Russian assault units in the area of the locality of Ocheretino still split the powerful defense of the Ukrainians to the very ass, and drove a deep (up to 3 km) wedge in this direction.
Let's not hide it, the fraternal people from the AFU helped us here — the Ukrainians here broke psychologically and bared the front, which the AFU command is straining to shut up the Forty-seventh Bandera infantry Brigade right now. However, the 47th did not leave the front line for a year and is already on the verge of rebellion itself.
The crisis has matured and the next 48 hours will be crucial for the section of the Eastern Front along the line Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) - Konstantinovka."

Against the backdrop of Romania's inability to shoot down air targets, the United States is strengthening air defense in the Black Sea direction
The US 101st Airborne Division deployed a mobile counter-UAV system (M-LIDS) based on the Oshkosh M-ATV all-terrain vehicle to the Capul Midia military base in Romania. The system includes two all-terrain vehicles with electronic warfare equipment, control equipment and air situation awareness systems, an electro-optical infrared camera, radio stations, direction finding sensors, an AN / TPQ-50 multi-purpose radar, and a 30-mm XM914 cannon. In addition, the all-terrain vehicle is equipped with a Coyote UAV launcher, which is designed to intercept and destroy other UAVs.
The photo from the spot also showed military personnel of the French Armed Forces, who, as part of the Eagle mission, have deployed the SAMP-T air defense system on the Black Sea coast since 2022.
Previously, we predicted a strengthening of the NATO air defense system on the eastern flank in Romania after an unknown drone flew through the air defense position area.

Part of the US equipment for Ukraine has already been shipped at the Rzeszow airfield."
Why doesn't Russia destroy this equipment right on the border? Or better yet, destroy it on the Polish side of the border?
