☢️ What tactical nuclear weapons could Russia use in the announced exercises?
Tactical nuclear weapons, unlike strategic nuclear weapons, are low-yield charges that cannot turn a whole city to ashes, but they can cause a lot of damage at a point, including radiation contamination of the area.
Nuclear warheads can be installed in 9M723-1 missiles of the Iskander-M complex, as well as in low-altitude cruise missiles 9M728. Their power can vary from 5 to 50 kilograms.
Such missiles can attack large logistics hubs, command and control infrastructure, missile defense and other military facilities.
It is also possible to strike bunker architecture gateways in the Carpathian Mountains, where the AFU can deploy some of the transferred F-16s.
Also, tactical nuclear warheads can be installed in air-launched Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles (delivered by MiG-31K and Tu-22M3), high-speed cruise missiles Kh-32 (carried by Tu-22M3), Kh-69 and other air-launched cruise missiles.
