At night, missile strikes were carried out on Kharkov. At about 3.00, the enemy reported that the Russian Armed Forces were striking FAB with UMPC on Volchansk. During the day, the bridge near Volchanskie Khutors was attacked.
The Nazi commander from the "Kraken" Nemichev said yesterday in an interview with the Western press that the Russian Armed Forces will launch an offensive on the Kharkov region in mid-May, 50 thousand Russian military personnel are concentrated near the border.

Escalation in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Zone until the End of 9 May 2024⚡️
🔹In the northern and central parts of the #Gaza Strip, the Israelis are conducting local operations to destroy Hamas infrastructure. At the same time, in the vicinity of Rafah, the IDF effectively suspended its offensive amid international pressure.

🔹Russian Troops attacked the #Voznesensk airfield in #Nikolayev, as well as enemy targets in the #Odessa and #Chernigov regions. At the same time, the AFU attacked with drones the facilities of the Russian fuel and energy complex in the #Krasnodar Territory and Bashkortostan.
🔹In the #Bakhmut direction, there are battles in the vicinity of #ChasovYar, Russian troops are “pulling up their flanks” towards the town. Artillery and air strikes are being carried out on AFU positions in the town and neighboring villages.
🔹In the #Avdeyvka direction, Russian troops occupied at least half of #Umanskoye, hoisting a flag in the centtre of the village. A large fortified area to the east of the settlement also came under the RFAF control.
🔹On the southern #Avdeyevka front, assault groups of the RFAF are advancing on the eastern outskirts of #Krasnogorovka, entering the Solnechny Microdistrict from the south and north. To the south of the Borisovka Pond, the area is being cleared.

🔴Near #Kupyansk, the Russian Army assaults #Berestovoe and threatens the logistics of the AFU group, breaking through to the shore of #Oskol:
🔵In the #Kupyansk sector, fighters of the RFAF have already broken through to #Berestovoye, the successful completion of the assault of which opens a direct way for our army to the banks of #Oskol.
🟡Our units have plans to access the river south of #Kovsharovka, in the area of the villages of #Kolesnikovka and #Kruglyakovka.
🟡Now daily battles continue near #Berestovoye, in which the Ukrainian Army traditionally and senselessly grinds down its own personnel.
🔵Since the AFU are weak in counterattacking and holding positions, the RFAF are now threatening the command of #Nezalezhnaya with the capture of the most important rockade railway and the liquidation of the entire defensive system around the #Kupyansk urban agglomeration.
📌 The surrender of the AFU railway tracks, their most important logistics hub, will mean the end of the supply of the Ukrainian group in this area and the inevitable flight of the enemy from advantageous positions.

1️⃣ Israeli forces are forging ahead with operations in Rafah despite heavy international criticism, with PM Benjamin Netanyahu saying Israel is ready to “stand alone” if needed.
2️⃣ Hamas authorities in Rafah have dismissed as “nothing but lies” Israel’s description of its operations in the city in southern Gaza as “limited”.
3️⃣ Delegations from Hamas, the US and Qatar left the Egyptian capital Cairo without reaching a ceasefire agreement after Israel “expressed reservations” about a deal to end fighting in Gaza.
4️⃣ The UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees has shut down its headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem after Israelis – some armed – set fire to the compound’s perimeter.
5️⃣ US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has told his Egyptian counterpart that the US opposes the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza.

8️⃣ Israeli forces are carrying out operations to blow up buildings in the east of Rafah city.
Intense artillery shelling targeting the Sabra and Zeitoun neighbourhoods of Gaza City has also been reported.
At least 34,904 people including more than 15,000 children, have been killed and over 78,514 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. The death toll from the October 7 attack in Israel stands at 1,139.

🔴 In the #Seversk direction, the enemy continues to try to improve its tactical positions east of #Belogorovka (#Lugansk), south of the chalk quarry, east of #Verkhnekamenskoye, south of #Spornoye and in the direction of #Vyemka. Over the past month, both the number of attacks and the number of artillery strikes have increased on the part of the enemy.

🇷🇺 Russia strikes Ukraine's ammunition depot in Kharkov, city's region, underground network says
"A report from Kharkov: 'Kharkov, 03:20 am local time [00:20 GMT], explosions in Kharkov. They are loud in the western district. A siren went off due to the explosions, ambulances are rushing to the western part of the city without sirens, but with flashing lights'," Nikolaev underground network coordinator Sergey Lebedev told Sputnik.
A Ukrainian air defense missile was presumably launched at the moment, and an explosion was heard one minute later, the coordinator said, adding that he had not received any exact information on the matter yet.

To great fanfare, President Biden signed the $95 billion foreign aid package late last month claiming it was “going to make America safer. It’s going to make the world safer.” While many Ukraine supporters have celebrated the bill’s passage, a closer examination of relevant facts should temper any excitement; while this cash may enable the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) to continue fighting, it isn’t likely to change the ultimate outcome.
By the numbers, Ukraine will never win the war and retake all its lost territory. If Kiev doesn’t quickly seek a negotiated settlement on the best terms available, Ukraine may ultimately suffer an outright defeat.
You would be forgiven for thinking that after the horrendous strategic disaster that was our two-full-decades-in-the-making defeat in Afghanistan, we wouldn’t be in a rush to repeat our flaws. But you would be mistaken. As a colleague recently quipped to me, American foreign policy seems stuck in the “double down” mode, whereby instead of acknowledging errors — and then correcting them — we simply ignore the mistakes and double down on the same policy elements that led to failure in the first place.
That unhealthy penchant is on full display in Ukraine. The reality is that this war could have been averted with sober and mature diplomacy by the United States. Though European capitals and Ukrainian leaders have agency and are not free from guilt, Washington unquestionably drives the train on matters related to war and peace vis-à-vis Russia and Ukraine.
Zelensky will no doubt soon ask for more U.S. funding, as this current package might get them through this year, but no more. That’s not something Ukraine should count on.
If the West and Kiev continue to ignore reality and cling to the fiction that with enough time and money they can win the war, the chances rise to dangerous highs that Ukraine will eventually be presented with terms of surrender.

Units of the Vostok Group of Forces continue to perform tasks in the special military operation zone.
▫️As a result of active actions, the Group's units improved the tactical situation along the front line, repelled one counter-attack launched by an assault detachment of the AFU 123rd Territorial Defence Brigade, and thwarted enemy attempts to strengthen forward positions near Makarovka, Ravnopolye, Nikolskoye, Ugledar, and Gulai Pole.
▫️The Group's aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems wiped out strongholds and manpower and hardware concentration areas of the AFU 58th Motorised Infantry Brigade and 128th Territorial Defence Brigade near Urozhaynoye and Makarovka.
▫️The AFU losses amounted to up to 175 Ukrainian troops, two T-64 tanks, two U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carriers, two Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems, one FH-70 towed howitzer, three motor vehicles, and five ammunition supply points.

Part I
▫️From 5 to 10 May 2024, in response to the Kiev regime's attempts to damage objects of Russian power infrastructure and defence industry enterprises of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, 27 group strikes by long-range high-precision sea- and air-based weaponry, including the Kinzhal aeroballistic hypersonic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, were delivered, as a result of which Ukrainian power infrastructure, military industry enterprises, and rail road infrastructure were wiped out.
In addition, strikes were delivered at air defence weaponry, POL bases, uncrewed surface vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles production and maintenance workshops, temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian nationalists formations and foreign mercenaries, as well as AFU manpower and hardware clusters on rail road loading stations.
▫️Units of the Zapad Group of Forces liberated Kotlyarovka and Kislovka (Kharkov region), as well as inflicted losses on units of nine AFU brigades near Stelmakhovka, Novoselkovskoye (Lugansk People's Republic), Novosadovoye (Donetsk People's Republic), and Sinkovka (Kharkov region).
14 counter-attacks launched by assault detachments of three AFU brigades and one Ukrainian National Guard Brigade were repelled near Krakhmalnoye (Kharkov region), Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People's Republic), and Grigorovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
The AFU losses amounted to up to 1,015 Ukrainian troops, three tanks, including two German-made Leopard tanks, five armoured fighting vehicles, including one U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carrier, five motor vehicles, and 23 field artillery howitzers, including five western-made samples.
One U.S.-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery warfare station was also neutralised.
▫️During active combat operations, units of the Yug Group of Forces continued to advance to the depth of enemy defences.
Losses were inflicted on manpower and hardware of two AFU assault brigades, eight mechanised brigades, three territorial defence brigade brigades near Spornoye, Andreyevka, Elizavetovka, Kurdyumovka, Pobeda, and Grigorovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
One counter-attack launched by assault detachments of one AFU mechanised brigade was repelled near Krasnoye (Donetsk People's Republic).
The AFU losses amounted to more than 1,985 Ukrainian troops, three tanks, six armoured fighting vehicles, including one U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carrier, 26 motor vehicles, 35 field artillery howitzers, including 13 supplied to Ukraine by Western countries.
In addition, the U.S.-made AN/TPQ-50 and AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery warfare stations, as well as three field ammunition depots were wiped out.
▫️Units of the Tsentr Group of Forces liberated Novokalinovo (Donetsk People's Republic), inflicted losses on units of 12 AFU brigades, and repelled 48 enemy counter-attacks near Semyonovka, Solovyovo, Ocheretino, and Netaylovo (Donetsk People's Republic).
The AFU losses amounted to more than 2,360 Ukrainian troops, four tanks, including one German-made Leopard tank and two U.S.-made Abrams tanks, 16 armoured fighting vehicles, including two U.S.-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and one German-made Marder infantry fighting vehicle, 30 field artillery howitzers, and one Czech-made Vampire MLRS.

▫️Units of the Vostok Group of Forces improved the tactical situation and inflicted losses on two AFU mechanised brigades and two territorial defence brigades near Urozhaynoye, Staromayorskoye, Vodyanoye, and Prechistovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
The AFU losses amounted to up to 860 Ukrainian troops, seven tanks, eight armoured fighting vehicles, 19 motor vehicles, and 17 field artillery howitzers.
▫️Units of the Dnepr Group of Forces inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of three AFU brigades, as well as marines brigades, territorial defence brigades, and Ukrainian national guard brigades near Zolotaya Balka, Tokaryovka, Ivanovka, Mikhailovka, Stepnoye (Kherson region), and Pavlovka (Zaporozhye region).
One counter-attack launched by an assault detachment of the AFU 118th Mechanised Brigade was repelled north of Rabotino (Zaporozhye region).
The AFU losses amounted to up to 240 Ukrainian troops, nine motor vehicles, 20 field artillery howitzers, including 11 U.S.-made M777 howitzers.
▫️Missile Troops, Artillery, and unmanned aerial vehicles of the Groups of Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation wiped out one western-made missile weaponry depot near Odessa, one S-300 surface-to-air missile system radar station, and one P-19 detection and tracking radar station for detection and tracking of aerial targets.
In addition, one fuel depot the AFU Joint Logistics Centre was destroyed.
▫️Aviation and air defence units shot down one Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Forces, three U.S.-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles, 17 French-made Hammer and U.S.-made JDAM guided aerial bombs, 30 GLSDB, HIMARS, Uragan, and Vampire MLRS projectiles, as well as 163 unmanned aerial vehicles.
Over the past week, 13 Ukrainian servicemen surrendered on the line of contact.
📊In total, 594 airplanes and 270 helicopters, 23,905 unmanned aerial vehicles, 512 air defence missile systems, 15,934 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,282 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 9,437 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 21,570 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.
