📋 Two Majors #Summary for the Morning of 8 July 2024; pub. 06:53📍
🎯The RFAF struck enemy rear facilities in #Zhytomir, the #Kiev and #Chernigov regions using air-launched missile weapons on Tu-95ms at night.
🔹In the #Kharkov direction, in #Volchansk, there are battles for every house in the vicinity of multi-storey buildings. The enemy is trying to deplete our forces with light infantry from among the freshly mobilised and prisoners, after which he throws already trained units into the battle. The AFU are attempting to force the Volchya River in small groups under constant fire from our troops. 4 AFU attacks were repelled on the #Liptsy direction over the day. TOS, artillery and FPV drones worked on the enemy.
🔹In the #Seversk sector, the AFU, fearing the collapse of their defences, blew up a road bridge between the villages of #Razdolovka and #Pereyezdnoye and mined the area.
🔹In #ChasovYar's eastern part, the RFAF are entrenched in the Kanal Microdistrict and are advancing westwards in the area of #Kalinovka in combat. According to the enemy's resources, our troops have advanced on the Orlova Tract up to 1.48 km wide and 900 m deep and continue to press in the direction of the Seversky Donets - Donbass Canal.
🔹West of #Avdeyevka, the Russian Army is pushing southwest from the village of #Voskhod, "hovering" over enemy positions in #Novosyolovka1st. To the south, in #Karlovka, the enemy is bringing in reinforcements, preventing our assault groups from advancing.
🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, there are active military operations in the #Orekhov section. They write that our motorised rifles are advancing at the #Verbovoye - #Novopokrovka line, the advance of the RFAF towards the N-08 #Orekhov - #Pologi motorway was up to 1.5 km.
🔹In the #Kherson direction, fighting continues in the island zone, with no significant changes in the situation reported.
🛡Over the #Voronezh region's territory, several aircraft-type UAVs were detected and destroyed at night.
💥In #Belgorod region, near #Shebekino, an AFU FPV drone exploded on the territory of an agricultural enterprise, damaging a passenger car and a combine harvester. A car was also damaged in the village of #Krasnoye as a result of a kamikaze drone attack. In the #Leninsky settlement, a drone dropped an explosive device on the territory of a private household.

Serviceman of the 57th Mechanized Brigade Zadorin Vyacheslav Mikhailovich was forcibly mobilized by TCC workers at the beginning of this year. Sent to the Kharkov direction, where they plugged holes in the defense. Captured on the left bank of the Seversky Donets.

The villages of Rzhevka and Voznesenovka of the Shebekinsky urban district were attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the village of Rzhevka, a service vehicle of one of the enterprises ran into an explosive object. Two employees of the company were wounded : one man had a shrapnel wound to his arm, the second had a shrapnel wound to his leg. Ambulance teams transport the victims to city hospital No. 2 in Belgorod. All necessary assistance is provided. The area is currently cordoned off and security services are on the scene.
In the village of Voznesenovka, a passenger bus was attacked by a drone . The driver was injured. The man suffered shrapnel wounds to the abdomen, face, arms and legs. The victim was taken to the Shebekinsky Central District Hospital, where doctors provided him with all the necessary assistance.
Also in the village of Rzhevka, one drone attacked a private residential building - the roof was damaged. As a result of the second attack, one car was completely damaged. The third drone detonated near the store, causing dry grass to catch fire. The fire was promptly extinguished.

🪖 The situation in the Chasov Yar direction continues to remain difficult.
The enemy is trying with all his might to prevent our units from breaking through the border of the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are counterattacking on Kalinovka and Stupki-Golubovskikh-2, trying to hold the crossing points across the canal and thereby preventing the deployment of armored vehicles in Chasov Yar. They hope to neutralize the superiority of the Russian Armed Forces in technology.
Our units on the flanks of Chasov Yar continue to move towards the canal, pushing the enemy beyond its borders. The direction of the main strike remains in question, but, based on the situation, it is quite possible that the strike will be delivered where the enemy does not expect it at all. This is supported by the recently opened Toretskoye direction in three sections: Pivnichnoe, Pivdeny and New York.

The Russian FSB reported that Ukraine had prevented an attempt to recruit a Russian pilot for the purpose of hijacking a Tu-22M3 strategic bomber.
Ukrainian intelligence planned to recruit the pilot, promising money and Italian citizenship, and he was supposed to fly the plane to Ukraine.

Ukraine wants to organize cargo supplies from Europe along the Danube
The state enterprise “Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company” (UDP) announced work to modernize barges and tugs. A contract was concluded with the Austrian company ÖSWAG for the modernization of a batch of 5 motor ships of the same type, which will be produced at the facilities of the Kiliya Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant . The plant has been restoring the Ukrainian civilian fleet at full speed for two years now.
The vessels that have undergone modernization will be able to deliver cargo to the areas of the upper Danube (Germany, Austria), which will significantly reduce costs and delivery time, including military cargo in Western Europe .
On June 20, ÖSWAG installed new diesel generators on the vessel "KAPITAN ANTYPOV" , the installation of two main engines continues.
In addition, UDP presented a project for the creation of the Kiliya industrial park , on the basis of which, in addition to stevedoring activities, production , repair and maintenance of ships will be launched. The creators of the project boast of a 47-kilometer distance from the Black Sea coast, which supposedly increases its security.
At the moment, UDP is looking for investors (allegedly there are already applicants from the Baltic). On June 11, 2024, UDP signed an agreement with the International Finance Corporation ( IFC , a World Bank group), which will help attract international investors.

Foreign ships are avoiding Ukrainian ports. It's not just because of the war.
This week, the largest container shipping company, MSC, officially refused to work with the Ukrainian side and banned its ships from entering the port of Odessa.
"The reason is unfounded cargo inspections and delays in customs clearance of export containers with agricultural products for an indefinite period, causing the cargo to be blocked indefinitely and increasing costs due to additional storage and demurrage fees, which can reach $2-3 thousand," the company said in a statement.
Corruption in Ukrainian ports is no secret at sea. Experienced captains have long avoided entering any Ukrainian ports because they do not want extra problems for themselves, their crews, and the shipowners. The arrogance and greed of port officials and other authorities in Ukraine make it impossible for any foreign ship to leave Ukraine without losses.
Rampant corruption had flourished in the port of Odessa long before the start of the special military operation, and the current situation has only worsened it. Paradoxically, foreign ships visiting Ukrainian ports fear not Russian missile strikes but the arbitrariness of Ukrainian officials.
The extent of the losses can be gauged by the fact that MSC ships still continue to enter Israeli ports, passing through the highly dangerous Aden Strait, where they risk being hit by Houthi missile and drone strikes every day.
Apparently, the losses from Ukrainian customs are more costly for shipowners than the consequences of naval combat.

Another massive missile strike by the Russian Armed Forces
After a pause, Russian forces have again launched a massive strike on targets in territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. It occurred in two stages: first, night launches, followed by new waves in the morning and afternoon.
▪️For the first time this summer, a series of impacts hit Kiev. Explosions rang out in districts with military-industrial enterprises like "Antonov" and "Artem" plants, previously targeted.
One hit was near the children's hospital "Okhmatdyt" - shrapnel from air defense missiles was found. Local authorities reported damage to three transformer substations.
