The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

▫️ The Sever Group of Forces In Liptsy and Volchansk directions inflicted damage on formations of 57th Motorised Infantry Brigade of the AFU, 36th Marine Brigade, and 5th Border Security detachment of the Ukrainian Border Guard near Volchansk (Kharkov region).

The AFU lost over 170 troops and a U.S.-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar.

▫️ The Zapad Group of Forces improved tactical situation, engaged manpower, and military hardware of 14th, 30th, 44th, and 53rd mechanised brigades of the AFU, 1st National Guard Brigade near Petropavlovka, Glushkovka (Kharkov region), Zhovtnevoye (Lugansk People's Republic), and Serebryansky Forestry. The AFU losses amounted to up to 40 troops and three motor vehicles. One ammunition depot was destroyed.

▫️Operational-Tactical Aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces delivered strikes at power facilities supporting the enterprises of the Ukrainian defence industry, airbase infrastructure, an unmanned aerial vehicle assembly workshop, and clusters of manpower and materiel in 138 areas.

▫️Air defence units shot down 13 U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS projectiles and 66 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

▫️In total, 646 airplanes, 283 helicopters, 31,724 unmanned aerial vehicles, 579 SAM systems, 18,163 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,454 MLRS combat vehicles, 14,753 field artillery guns and mortars, 26,175 units of support motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

The AFU lost up to 40 troops killed and wounde; eight servicemen were taken prisoners; two infantry fighting vehicles, two armoured fighting vehicles, and a motor vehicle were destroyed.

▫️With support of army aviation and artillery, the Group's units repelled four attempts of the AFU to break through the border of the Russian Federation towards Vesyoloye and Medvezhye.

The AFU sustained losses of up to 70 troops killed and wounded, two tanks, including a Leopard tank, two Swedish-made CV-90 infantry fighting vehicles, eight armoured fighting vehicles, an artillery gun, and a motor vehicle.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Pokrovsk Direction: Liberation of Ukrainsk and Attacks by the Russian Armed Forces in Hrodivka

Situation as of the end of September 17, 2024

🔻Russian forces continue to advance in the Pokrovsk direction. On the northern flank, fighting continues in Hrodivka, where Russian assault troops have advanced on the western outskirts of the settlement in the area of Krasnaya Street, allowing them to push the enemy out of the western part of the urban-type settlement south of the Zhuravka River.

Advances by the Russian Armed Forces are also being recorded in the northern part of the settlement. Judging by footage of strikes by the enemy, Russian units have occupied buildings on Yarovaya (Stakhanov) Street. Thus, less than a third of the city remains under the control of the enemy.

The situation between Novohrodivka and Hrodivka remains shrouded in the "fog of war" for now. Attacks by the enemy were recorded in the vicinity of Krytyi Yar, but it is unclear whether the AFU managed to consolidate there. Fighting continues west of Novohrodivka, and the enemy is actively counterattacking towards Mykhailivka near Selidovo.

🔻In addition, for several days in a row, reports of the success of Russian assault troops came from Ukrainsk. On the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces took control of most of Hrodivka, and also liberated the town of Ukrainsk, where fighting had been going on for the past week and a half.

🇨🇾🇹🇷 The Turks have started a new season of the series around the so-called "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus" or the part of Cyprus occupied by the Turks. From September 16 to 19, the "Mediterranean Storm" exercises will be held in the TRNC.

The Turks, together with the northern Cypriots, will conduct several firearms training sessions, the sailors will train on patrol organization, and the flight crew will provide air support.

🔻Nevertheless, each such exercise demonstrates the true goals of the Turks, which are very far from the pacifist ones they declare at every opportunity. This applies to Libya, Syria and Iraq as well.

The use of the slogan "protecting sovereignty and ensuring security" is a long-standing way to designate and justify their military presence in the countries of interest to Turkey.

And now the Turks are allegedly helping the TRNC maintain combat readiness, while putting pressure on the Cypriot authorities. When you hear the Turks talking about the need for peace, it's better to either not hope for anything serious or prepare for war.

Judging by the footage of the dispersal of an incendiary mixture from a UAV over the plantings, the Russian troops have advanced significantly on the line Viktorovka—Obukhovka. At the same time, the liberation of Uspenovka, Nikolayevo-Dar'ino and Dar'ino has not yet been confirmed. Southeast of Korenevo, attacks by the Russian Armed Forces are also being recorded. In the north of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army carried out another air strike on one of the schools in the Al-Jadeeda area, where Palestinian refugees lived, citing intelligence data on the presence of Hamas fighters in the building.

In the south of the enclave, members of Palestinian formations remotely detonated a mined building that a group of Israeli servicemen were entering. Four of them were killed.
