POW Nikolay Tyagon was drafted by employees of the Ukrainian enlistment office. He, like hundreds of Ukrainian men, was caught on the street and taken to the enlistment office to undergo a medical examination.
Tyagon was luckier than other recruits. Before he got sent to the front line, he had been digging trenches and firing an assault rifle for a month in a training unit. As he said, the situation on the front lines is a difficult one for the AFU as there is a shortage of personnel and most men don't want to fight and try to run away whenever possible.
Nikolay Tyagon was taken prisoner by Russian servicemen. He and his comrades were sent to guard a facility near the line of contact. They surrendered without any resistance because they saw no point in dying for nothing.

Part I
▫️From 21 to 27 September 2024, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out 33 group strikes by high-precision weapons, including with the use of Kinzhal hypersonic air-launched ballistic missiles, as well as attack drones. The strikes hit enterprises of the Ukrainian defence industry and energy facilities that supported their operation; infrastructure of military airfields, and a military echelon with Western weapons and military hardware.
Moreover, the strikes engaged production and storage facilities for unmanned aerial vehicles and uncrewed surface vehicles, arsenals, ammunition and fuel depots, temporary deployment areas and concentration areas of AFU units, nationalist formations, and foreign mercenaries.
▫️Over the past week, the Sever Group of Forces has been eliminating the AFU formations in Kursk region. Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and artillery strikes against concentration areas of personnel and military hardware of the five mechanised brigades, one tank brigade, two air assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and five territorial defence brigades have thwarted the enemy's attempts to launch counter-attacks and deploy reserves.
In Volchansk and Liptsy directions, Russia troops hit units of an AFU motorised infantry brigade, a marine brigade, two territorial defence brigades, and the Kraken nationalist formation.
During the week in the area of responsibility of the Sever Group of Forces, the enemy sustained losses of over 3,270 troops, 10 tanks, including two German-made Leopard tanks, 66 armoured fighting vehicles, and 81 motor vehicles.
Moreover, enemy losses included six MLRS, including one U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS launcher, 53 field artillery guns, and eight electronic warfare and counter-battery stations.
▫️ Over the past week, units of the Zapad Group of Forces improved the situation along the front line. They inflict losses on six mechanised brigades, one tank brigade, one assault brigade of the AFU, two territorial defence brigades, and one national guard brigade. Twenty-four counter-attacks launched by AFU assault detachments were thwarted.
Over the past seven days, the enemy has suffered losses of more than 2,980 troops, seven tanks, 14 armoured fighting vehicles, including three U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carriers, 40 motor vehicles, three Czech-made and Croatian-made MLRS, as well as 52 field artillery guns, including 19 self-propelled artillery systems and 155-mm howitzers supplied to the AFU by NATO countries.
In addition, 12 electronic warfare and counter-battery stations as well as 26 field ammunition depots were eliminated.
▫️ The Yug Group of Forces has liberated Grigorovka and Ostroye (Donetsk People's Republic) in the past week. The Group also inflicted losses on manpower and military hardware of four mechanised brigades, two motorised infantry brigades, two infantry brigades, one mountain assault brigade, one air assault brigade, one airmobile brigade of the AFU, two territorial defence brigades, one national guard brigade, and the Lyut Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine.
The AFU losses amounted to up to 5,140 troops, two tanks, eight armoured fighting vehicles, 94 motor vehicles, three MLRS, including one U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS launcher, and 58 field artillery guns, with 35 of them made by Western countries.
In addition, 11 electronic warfare and counter-battery stations as well as 31 field ammunition depots were eliminated.

▫️ As a result of decisive efforts, the Tsentr Group of Forces liberated Ukrainsk and Marinovka (Donetsk People's Republic). Russian troops defeated six mechanised brigades, two infantry brigades, two jaeger brigades, one assault brigade, one airborne brigade, one airmobile brigade, one air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two territorial defence brigades, and four national guard brigades. In addition, 67 counter-attacks launched by the enemy's assault detachments were repelled.
Over the past seven days, Ukrainian units have sustained losses of up to 3,880 troops, one tank, 15 armoured fighting vehicles, including two U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carriers, 27 motor vehicles, and 44 field artillery guns.
▫️ The Vostok Group's units continued advancing to the depths of the enemy's defence, defeated manpower and military hardware of two mechanised brigades and one motorised infantry brigade of the AFU, three territorial defence brigades, and one national guard brigade. Twelve counter-attacks launched by AFU assault detachments were thwarted.
The AFU losses amounted to up to 960 troops, three tanks, four armoured fighting vehicles, 37 motor vehicles, 13 field artillery guns, with eleven of them of 155-mm made by NATO countries, and four electronic warfare stations.
▫️ The Dnepr Group of Forces inflicted losses on one infantry brigade, one mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two marine brigades, three territorial defence brigades, and one national guard brigade.
The enemy losses included up to 410 troops, 45 motor vehicles, 12 field artillery guns, two electronic warfare stations, and four field ammunition depots.
▫️ In the past week, air defence systems have shot down one U.S.-made ATACMS operational-tactical missile, 10 Neptune long-range guided missiles, two U.S.-made HARM anti-radiation missiles, two converted S-200 surface-to-surface guided missiles, 20 French-made Hammer guided bombs, 39 U.S.-made HIMARS and Czech-made Vampire projectiles, as well as 482 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles, with 164 of them outside the special military operation zone.
▫️ The Black Sea Fleet's aircraft destroyed six Ukrainian uncrewed surface vehicles.
▫️ Over the past week, 66 Ukrainian servicemen have surrendered on the line of contact.
▫️ In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 646 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 32,288 unmanned aerial vehicles, 579 anti-aircraft missile systems, 18,434 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,469 MLRS combat vehicles, 15,295 field artillery guns and mortars, and 26,613 units of support military vehicles have been neutralised.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the operation to neutralise an enemy group, which broke into the territory of Kursk region.
▫️ Units of the Sever Group of Forces continued offensive operations and inflicted losses on formations of the 21st, 22nd, 115th mechanised brigades, 17th Tank Brigade, 82nd and 95th air assault brigades, 1st National Guard Brigade, 36th Marine Brigade, 103rd Territorial Defence Brigade of the AFU near Lyubimovka, Daryino, Novy Put, Nikolayevo-Daryino, and Plekhovo.
Over the past 24 hours, units of the Sever Group of Forces repelled five enemy counter-attacks in the direction of Lyubimovka and Plekhovo.
As a result, the AFU losses amounted to up to 30 troops killed and wounded; four armoured fighting vehicles and one motor vehicle were destroyed. One serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrendered.
▫️ With the support of army aviation and artillery fire, 11 AFU attempts to break through the border of the Russian Federation in the direction of Novy Put and Medvezhye were foiled.
The AFU losses amounted to more than 70 people killed and wounded; one armoured personnel carrier, seven armoured fighting vehicles, and three motor vehicles were neutralised. Two AFU servicemen surrendered.
▫️ ️Army Aviation and artillery fire inflicted losses on manpower and hardware clusters of the 21st, 22nd, 41st, 61st, 115th mechanised brigades, 17th Tank Brigade, 80th, 95th air assault brigades, 1st National Guard Brigade, 36th Marine Brigade, 103rd and 129th territorial defence brigades of the AFU near Guyevo, Daryino, Kolmakov, Kubatkin, Kozachya Loknya, Lyubimovka, Malaya Loknya, Martynovka, Mikhaylovka, Medvezhye, Novaya Sorochina, Novy Put, Orlovka, Plekhovo, Pravda, Tolsty Lug, and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye.
▫️ Operational-Tactical Aviation, and Missile Troops delivered strikes in Sumy region at concentration areas and reserves of the 21st, 22nd, 41st, and 115th mechanised brigades, 82nd and 95th air assault brigades, 92nd Assault Brigade, 1st National Guard Brigade, and 101st and 103rd territorial defence brigades of the AFU near Atinskoye, Belovody, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Glukhov, Zhuravka, Zarutskoye, Katerinovka, Kruzhok, Moskalenki, Machulishcha, Novoya Sloboda, Pavlovka, Rovnoye, Ryzhevka, Svessa, and Sumy.
Over 330 troops, 16 armoured vehicles, including one tank, two armoured personnel carriers, and 13 armoured fighting vehicles, as well as one artillery gun, one EW station, one counter-battery radar, and eight motor vehicles have been eliminated during the day. Two AFU servicemen surrendered.
▫️ ️Since the beginning of hostilities in Kursk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost more than 17,750 troops, 131 tanks, 62 infantry fighting vehicles, 97 armoured personnel carriers, 837 armoured fighting vehicles, 533 motor vehicles, 143 artillery guns, 31 MLRS launchers, including eight of HIMARS and six of MLRS made by the USA, eight SAM launchers, five transport-loading vehicles, 37 electronic warfare stations and nine counter-battery radars, two air defence radars, 18 engineering vehicles, including 11 counterobstacle vehicles and one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle, as well as one armoured recovery vehicle.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Kursk Direction: Local Battles, AFU Buildup in Sumy Region
Situation as of the end of September 26, 2024
The situation in Kursk Region remains tense, with ongoing battles in various sectors.
🔻Ukrainian formations are attacking in the area of Veseloye in Glushkovo District. And in the vicinity of Novy Put, there are signs of personnel buildup for a further offensive towards Glushkovo.
🔻In Korenevo District, the Russian Aerospace Forces are active, with no changes in control zones observed. However, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian formations attempted to counterattack in the Lyubimovka area, but without success. The enemy, in turn, claims its own successes near Olhovka, but this is not confirmed by objective control footage.
🔻Meanwhile, in Sudzha District, the enemy is redeploying forces to the vicinity of Plekhovo, where battles are ongoing in the forests east, halfway to Borki. No attacks or changes in control zones are recorded, and on the adjacent territory of Sumy Region, the Russian Armed Forces continue to systematically suppress the artillery of Ukrainian formations.

Russian forces struck energy infrastructure in Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa and Mykolaiv Regions, as well as for the third time in the last week hit the industrial zone of the "Motor Sich" enterprise in occupied Zaporizhia.

🇮🇱🇱🇧🇸🇾 Last night, the Israeli Air Force launched missiles from the occupied Golan Heights against rural areas in the Damascus province. The impact was in the vicinity of Kafr Yabous - a settlement located near the Syrian-Lebanese border.
According to the Syrian Ministry of Defense, five soldiers were killed and one was wounded. The Israel Defense Forces have not yet commented on the incident, but it is highly likely they will report the destruction of infrastructure used for weapons transfers to Lebanon.
This particular area is relatively regularly targeted (https://t.me/rybar/63120) by the Israelis - primarily due to the Damascus-Beirut highway running through it, which has been dubbed the "Highway of Death" by the locals. This is the main route for weapons and ammunition supplies, as well as troop movements.
Against the backdrop of the escalating Lebanon-Israel conflict, an increase in strikes along the Syrian border is to be expected, including against other Hezbollah supply routes from the neighboring Arab republic - in addition to the Damascus province, the "Iranian corridor" (https://t.me/rybar/62402) passing through the city of Al-Qusayr may also become a target of attacks.

The information background around the Baltics has been constantly making headlines in various media in recent weeks. And it would seem that the Baltic states have always been distinguished by populist slogans and shouts against the Russian Federation.
However, in reality, there is one significant difference compared to previous years. Now, on the northern front, they are echoed by the newly minted member of the Alliance - Finland, which immediately began working as part of the bloc.
Exercises that are taking place almost weekly with allies or independently in one way or another affect Russia - either in the Gulf of Finland, or on the Kola Peninsula, or a couple of dozens of kilometers from Karelia.
🔻The situation is exacerbated by the high political activity of Finland's neighbors across the bay - Estonia and other countries in the region:
➖Recently, the Chief of the General Staff of the Estonian Defense Forces, Vahur Karus, stated (https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://tass.ru/mezhdunarodnaya-panorama/21893229&ved=2ahUKEwizx5DN-OKIAxWEMhAIHbq4OkgQFnoECDUQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1RW2o3zsh9r-QgROyBVD3l) that the country is preparing for a preemptive strike against Russia.

In the north of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli forces once again struck the capital of the Palestinian enclave and its satellite cities. Residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged, more than ten people were injured, and there are fatalities.
In the south of the Gaza Strip, IDF units are engaged in battles in several districts of Rafah, while Palestinian formations respond with ambushes and mortar fire. At the same time, the Israeli Air Force is launching missiles at the outskirts of Khan Yunis and Abasan al-Kabira.
On the West Bank, another series of operations by Israeli security forces took place, resulting in dozens of people being detained. The most fierce clashes occurred in Nablus, where local armed groups were active.
Massive shelling continues along the Lebanon-Israel border. In the evening, the Israeli Air Force dropped a bomb on the headquarters of Hezbollah in Beirut, where the movement's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah could have been. Two people were killed and more than 70 were injured.
The Israeli air force also struck the Syrian province of Damascus, where the impact fell on a settlement near the border with Lebanon. Five SAA servicemen were killed, and the target of the attack was apparently Hezbollah's supply routes.
Fighters of the "Ansarallah" movement were also active, launching a missile at Tel Aviv and a drone at Ashkelon. Both munitions were intercepted by air defense systems, but on the way to shelters, 17 Israelis received various injuries.
