🔻From the point of view of possible threats, the most powerful modification of ATACMS can reach a distance of 300 km, which creates a threat to command posts, airfields, places of deployment of personnel and hospitals where our wounded are located.

This will at least force tactical-level units to react, as additional protection, especially air defense assets, and not only, will be needed. We are talking about elementary human ingenuity, that is, some will need to understand that building and moving in columns will become even more dangerous.

❗️And another nuance is that if Washington really allowed the use of ballistic missiles, other countries will follow the US and, in addition to ATACMS, Storm Shadow and SCALP will fly to the Kursk region. And Taurus may also appear (Scholz is also on the verge of leaving the German Olympus).

Therefore, it's time to look at the map, on which we also marked the range of JASSM cruise missiles, which can hit even further. This is another step towards increasing the degree of conflict to the extreme point, which will not change the outcome, but will create big problems.

▫️ In Kharkov direction, the Sever Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on formations of 57th Mechanised Infantry Brigade, 120th Territorial Defence Brigade, and 5th border detachment of the Ukrainian border police near Okhrimovka, Odnorobovka, Alisovka, and Volchansk of the Kharkov region.

The AFU losses amounted to up to 65 troops, an armoured fighting vehicle, two motor vehicles, and a 122-mm D-30 howitzer. One Anklav-N electronic warfare station was destroyed.

▫️ The Zapad Group of Forces improved the tactical situation, inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of 14th, 63rd, 66th, 116th mechanised brigades, 68th Jaeger Brigade, 25th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 114th, 241st territorial defence brigades near Podoly, Petropavlovka, Berestovoye, Staroverovka, Boguslavka, Prokopovka (Kharkov region), Nadiya of the Lugansk People's Republic, Ivanovka (Donetsk People's Republic), and Serebryansky forestry. Six counter-attacks of 77th Airmobile Brigade, 28th, and 115th mechanised brigades were repelled.

The AFU losses amounted to more than 470 troops, a tank, four infantry fighting vehicles, two U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carriers, a Kozak armoured fighting vehicle, four pickup trucks, a Polish-made 155-mm Krab self-propelled artillery system, a 152-mm Msta-B howitzer, and a 100-mm Rapira anti-tank gun. Two ammunition depots were wiped out.

▫️ The Yug Group of Forces improved the situation along the front line. It defeated 23rd, 24th, 43rd, 54th mechanised brigades, 56th Motorised Infantry Brigade, 81st Airmobile Brigade, and 10th Mountain Assault Brigade of the AFU near Konstantinovka, Orekhovo-Vasilyevka, Dronovka, Zvanovka, Zakotnoye, Kurakhovo, Ilyichovka, and Seversk (Donetsk People's Republic).

Six counter-attacks of 46th and 77th airmobile brigades were repelled.

Russian units repelled nine counter-attacks of 151st Mechanised Brigade, 68th, 152nd jaeger brigades, 49th and 425th assault battalions of the AFU, 35th Marine Brigade, 14th National Guard Brigade and the Lyut Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine.

The AFU losses amounted to up to 345 troops, a tank, four armoured fighting vehicles including a Kozak and a U.S.-made MaxxPro, four motor vehicles, and a 152-mm Msta-B howitzer.

▫️ The Vostok Group of Forces advanced further into the enemy's defence and hit 120th, 123rd, and 127th territorial defence brigades close to Novoselka, Konstantinopol, and Oktyabr of the Donetsk People's Republic. The AFU losses amounted to up to 140 troops, a tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, a U.S.-made HMMWV armoured fighting vehicle, eight motor vehicles, and a 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.

▫️ The Dnepr Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, 41st Infantry Brigade, 110th Mechanised Brigade of AFU, 103rd and 126th territorial defence brigades near Pyatikhatki, Nesteryanka (Zaporozhye region), Yantarnoye, Olgovka, and Kazatskoye (Kherson region).

The Biden administration just gave Ukraine the green light to use US-made and provided ATACMS missiles against Russian targets inside Russian territory, including Kursk.

It should be noted that the US, together with NATO, helped plan and execute the Ukrainian incursion into Kursk. Now, with Ukrainian forces being pushed back in the Kursk region by Russian forces, the decision to allow Ukraine to use ATACMS missiles in Kursk leaves no doubt that the US is a direct party to the invasion and occupation of Russian soil by NATO-proxy Ukrainian forces.

In short, the US is now at war with Russia.

This was the position taken by Russia back on September 13, when the Russian government warned the Biden administration about allowing Ukraine to use ATACMS against Russian soil.

The decision by the Biden administration reflects a growing sense of desperation on the part of Ukraine, NATO and the US that the war with Russia is reaching the breaking point, where a decisive Russian victory is all but guaranteed.

The Ukraine/NATO/US axis is likewise concerned about the election results in the US which saw Donald Trump win decisively on a platform that seeks to end the war in Ukraine and avoid escalation with Russia.

The Biden administration seems to have taken this decision based upon two specific analytical assumptions.

First, that Russia is bluffing, and will not seek to escalate.

Second, that this escalation on the part of the Ukraine/NATO/US axis will trap the incoming Trump administration into staying the course when it comes to supporting both NATO and Ukraine.

The Biden administration has likely badly miscalculated.

Russia will not accept this escalation by doing nothing.

Russia’s response will be decisive and possibly include hitting targets outside Ukraine.

Moreover, Trump does not want a war with Russia, inherited or otherwise. Rather than accepting this escalation as a fait accomplis, team Trump will likely inform both NATO and Ukraine of the detrimental consequences of escalation once Trump takes office on January 20.

This last point is of utmost importance.

If Trump can separate himself from the Biden decision to escalate, Russia may temper its response, avoiding the kind of revolving escalation that would probably lead to nuclear war.

It would be an unprecedented action on the part of Trump, direct interference in the policies of a sitting, albeit lame duck, President.

But the survival of America and the world is at stake.

Let us hope Trump stays true to his promises, and moves to prevent war.
