This morning, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a group strike by precision weaponry and attack unmanned aerial vehicles at critical objects of gas and power infrastructure ensuring operation of Ukrainian defence industry enterprises.

The goal of the strike has been achieved. All the assigned targets have been engaged.

▫️In Kharkov region, units of the Sever Group of Forces inflicted losses on formations of one motorised infantry brigade of the AFU near Dergachi, Tsirkuny, and Volchansk (Kharkov region).

▫️Units of the Zapad Group of Forces improved the tactical situation along the front line and inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of three mechanised brigades, one tank brigade of the AFU, and two territorial defence brigades near Dvurechnaya, Zapadnoye, Zagoruykovka, Podoly, Petropavlovka, Zagryzovo, Lozovaya (Kharkov region), Ivanovka, and Torskoye (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to more than 460 troops, two U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carriers, 13 pickup trucks, five artillery guns, including three NATO-made guns. Two ammunition depots and one Kvertus electronic warfare station were destroyed.

▫️Units of the Yug Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and positions and inflicted losses on formations of three mechanised brigades, one airmobile brigade, and one mountain assault brigade of the AFU near Zvanovka, Slavyansk, Nikolayevka, Seversk, Yantarnoye, Verkhnekamenskoye, Pereyezdnoye, Dachnoye, Sukhiye Yaly, and Chasov Yar (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 230 troops, one tank, three armoured fighting vehicles, four pickup trucks, and four artillery guns. One ammunition depot was wiped out.

▫️As a result of successful offensive operations, units of the Tsentr Group of Forces liberated Ukrainka (Donetsk People's Republic).

Losses were inflicted on manpower and hardware of six mechanised brigades of the AFU, one territorial defence brigade, two national guard brigades, and one formation of the International Legion near Shcherbinovka, Shevchenko, Dzerzhinsk, Slavyanka, Novovasilevka, Tarasovka, Baranovka, Vozdvizhenka, Petrovka, Lysovka, Petropavlovka, and Novoyelizavetovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

▫️Operational-Tactical Aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, and Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces struck infrastructure of military airfields, as well as engaged manpower and hardware of the enemy in 137 areas.

▫️Air defence units shot down two French-made Hammer guided aviation bombs, 10 U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS projectiles, and 85 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

▫️In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 652 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 40,480 unmanned aerial vehicles, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 20,539 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,509 MLRS combat vehicles, 20,630 field artillery guns and mortars, and 30,305 units of support military vehicles have been neutralised.

▫️Since the beginning of hostilities in Kursk region, the AFU losses amounted to more than 52,120 troops, 305 tanks, 229 infantry fighting vehicles, 170 armoured personnel carriers, 1,566 armoured fighting vehicles, 1,480 motor vehicles, 366 artillery guns, 44 MLRS launchers, including 13 of HIMARS and six of MLRS made by the USA, 16 anti-aircraft missile launchers, eight transport-loading vehicles, 93 EW stations, 14 counter-battery warfare radars, four air defence radars, 30 units of engineering and other materiel, including 15 counterobstacle vehicles, one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle, eight armoured recovery vehicles, and one command post vehicle.

Chronicle of events for January 15, 2025

Today, information appeared online about an agreement reached between representatives of Hamas and Israel regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The agreement is supposed to come into effect within 24 hours.

Despite this, the Israeli forces continued to strike Palestinian settlements in the enclave. Over the past day alone, at least 30 local residents were killed as a result of the shelling, including in the refugee camp area.

On the Lebanon-Israel border, the activity of the Israeli troops has somewhat increased - there are reports of armored vehicle movements in Meis al-Jabal and near Maroun ar-Ras, as well as shelling by the IDF tanks of the western outskirts of Yaroun.

🇮🇱🇵🇸On the "victory" of Hamas in the confrontation with Israel, many Israeli resources have been writing all evening, criticizing the prisoner exchange deal.

New details of the agreement are constantly appearing on the Internet, and Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have already begun to celebrate the ceasefire.

📌The ceasefire, by the way, is announced on Sunday, and until that moment the IDF will continue to strike. And judging by some reports - it is doing so right now.

▪️Hamas and Palestinian activists (associated with Hamas, but formally independent) present the conclusion of the deal as their victory, even considering that the IDF can resume the operation in 42 days.

🔻As for the details of the deal - there are not too many official statements yet. Media reports mention the release of 32 Israeli hostages and the return of one body. In return, 2,000 prisoners from Israeli jails will return to Gaza/Palestine. These are both militants and detainees from the West Bank.

Meanwhile, the first trucks with humanitarian aid are entering the enclave. However, it is unlikely that we should expect a long-lasting restoration of peace in the region.
