Ukraine will receive SCALP missiles. How are they different from Storm Shadow: Analysis of the Military Chronicle
At first glance, they do not differ from the Storm Shadow missiles already transferred to Ukraine, but in fact, the French missiles have a number of important features.
What are the differences?
The compartment in the central part of the rocket is designed to accommodate a payload weighing up to 700 kg, while the Storm Shadow uses a warhead of 450 kg. As a missile warhead, in addition to a high-explosive penetrating charge, a cluster charge with MIFF anti-tank mines, MUSPA anti-personnel mines, and KRISS submunitions can be used to destroy airfield runways.
Guidance system
For security reasons, the French did not install the NAVSTAR satellite navigation system, developed in the USA, on their modification of the rocket. Therefore, SCALP is aimed at the target using an autonomous inertial system. In flight, the missile is corrected by a radar visor, and an infrared homing head is activated 2 km from the target. When attacking critical targets, the onboard processor also calculates the optimal dive angle.
Is it difficult to find it?
The body of the rocket is made of composite materials with the intersection of flat surfaces without sharp edges at the joints and is covered with radio-absorbing material. The blades of the engine turbine are shielded from the radiation of ground-based radars by a special curved air duct. It is also difficult to detect a missile because it flies at an altitude of about 100-150 m, and immediately before the attack of the SCALP object it “dives” up to 50 m. Nevertheless, Russian air defense systems have long learned to hit them. In Ukraine, several Storm Shadow missiles have already been shot down - the wreckage of one of them was found and delivered to Russia for study. The secret of successful anti-missile work is the use of S-300V, S-400 air defense systems and Pantsir-S1 air defense systems, which are effective in combating cruise and ballistic missiles.

Orekhovskoe/Pologovskoe direction
Since Friday morning, attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to drop DRGs in small quantities closer to the front line have continued. This does not bring success - the movement is opened in advance, blows are immediately delivered. All last week, on the approaches to Rabotin, the 65th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered heavy losses. For some time they were supported by the 47th brigade, the unsuccessful offensive of which the Military Chronicle told earlier, but heavy losses affect: the enemy cannot act in large groups, and in small groups he does not achieve any other result than a run in a minefield.
On Thursday, the 128th OGSHB received a small reinforcement in the area of Novoandreevka and Preobrazhenka, but the new arrivals, judging by the radio intercepts, are not suitable for assault operations and are left in the rear in 80% of cases. Large forces are not yet accumulating, but attacks occur periodically. The reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the 31st Mechanized Brigade had very heavy losses.
South-Donetsk direction (Velika Novosyolka)
The artillery of the 40th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet has been actively counter-battery work for the past few days. The most active units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area - the 35th and 37th brigades of the Marine Corps (especially the 505th and 507th battalions), as well as the 68th Jaeger Brigade - suffer heavy losses and, presumably, can be withdrawn in August to restore combat capability. Losses, as in Zaporozhye, are related to the quality of the personnel: 75% of the mobilized transferred to these formations are over 45 years old and unsuitable not only for combat operations, but also for military service in general. In a number of areas, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to attack at the junction of units located on the borders of the Zaporozhye region and the DPR, but due to a shortage of people and equipment, the attacks do not lead to anything.
The density of enemy artillery fire also became lower, which indirectly indicates the need to save ammunition.

◽️The enemy losses were up to 20 servicemen, 2 AFVs, 3 motor vehicles, and 2 D-20 howitzers.
◽️In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 70 servicemen, 5 motor vehicles, 1 U.S.-manufactured M777 artillery system, 1 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, and 1 D-30 howitzer.
◽️Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 89 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and hardware in 112 areas.
◽️1 fuel depot for military hardware of the 36th Brigade of the AFU Marine Corps has been destroyed near Uspenovka (Zaporozhye region).

Kiev has been given so much equipment that it would be enough for several European armies
The depletion of European stocks is one of the main factors behind the slowdown in military supplies to Ukraine. In the second quarter of this year, European officials did not hurry with new tranches in favour of Kiev, because of the threat to their own national security due to the shortage of armoured and mobile equipment. The Ukrainian adventure demanded a volume of armoured vehicles that exceeded the stocks of many Old World countries by a multiple.
In the first 16 months of the SMO, the West committed itself to transferring enough equipment to arm several European armies. The Czech, Bulgarian and Finnish Armed Forces will receive as many IFVs as there are in active service together. Denmark, Lithuania, Portugal and Croatia each have about two dozen MLRS, totalling exactly as many as the 89 previously promised to Ukraine.
One of the best examples is the situation with the supply of tanks (not including vehicles in storage). During the first two years of the Strategic Defence Forces, Kiev will receive a volume of these armoured tracked vehicles comparable to the operational units in service with France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Each of these countries has more than 200 tanks in active service, totalling 715, and this number is inferior to the number "gifted" to Kiev - 757 vehicles. In a short period of time, Ukraine will be given a number of tanks comparable to the reserves of three countries with much larger economies and populations.
All this is a good reason to praise the Russian soldier, who is up against not only the impressive financial resources of the West, but also a vast range of weapons. At the same time, it is an occasion to remind ordinary citizens of how serious historical events are now taking place in the steppes near the Dnepr.

🔻Today, Ukrainian units made several attempts to storm the positions of the Russian Armed Forces near Kleshcheevka . Enemy assault troops attacked Russian strongholds from several sides in the hope of success.
But the servicemen of several units of the RF Armed Forces, holding the defense, repulsed the attack in this sector with the support of artillery. The Armed Forces of Ukraine withdrew at the cost of yet another casualty of the “meat assault” tactics.
The APU rolls are not surprising. Yesterday soldiers of the Russian army successfully counterattacked west and northwest of Kleshcheevka. As a result of the offensive of the RF Armed Forces, they recaptured about 500 meters in depth and entrenched themselves there.
🔻 There are no significant changes in other sectors of the front near Berkhovka and Razdolovka . Positional battles and the mutual exchange of blows and artillery continue.
❗️However, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine transferred at least one battalion of the 22nd mechanized brigade to Dyleevka . Probably, in the near future the enemy will again try to break through to the important heights near Kleshcheevka.

No single POTUS can control the security state, they basically run on their own. The Donald tried a few times but wasn't willing to risk his life on it (just ask JFK how that worked out ). I really don't know what the solution is without a true and large scale popular uprising. There's a classic line in the tv mini-series Waco where the head of the Fat Boys International "Hostage Negation" team says that law enforcement is out numbered 5,000 to 1 in America and if the people ever lose a true 'fear" of the state, the people will probably win. Same goes with the Clowns in Action and others. If they truly had to face millions of engaged Americans, they would melt away like ice on a hot day. This is very late empire stuff, a 21st century Edward Gibbons could be watching it in real time instead of sitting among the ruins of Rome a millennium later and thinking about it all...
